"Just two guys making art." That's what the first reviewer said and it instantly piqued my interest. Even with only one other review, there was something about how the food and experience was described that it was worth checking out. And wow! We were so glad we did. The artistry was not simply in the presentation, but most definitely in the taste as well. The dishes are based on local, seasonal availability, and the creations are fresh, unique, and delicious. Every dish, wine, and espresso origins were described to us -- it was delightful to know what we were consuming. The sommelier and the chef are two very humble people and we enjoyed conversing with them. This place opened only six weeks ago! I hope they do well. They deserve the success. If you want to enjoy something wonderful and other than traditional French cuisine, try this place! And in case you're wondering, Parapluie means Umbrella.

The restaurant is offering surprises. You will never know what you are going to eat until the food is served. To protect the delightful surprise, I shall not post photos here but tell the truth that each plate is well blended with all selected flavors.

Nice restaurant. The food is excellent. Their wasabi desert is amazing. However the service is a little downside. I called more than a week (8 days) before my arrival for the reservation. A couple days later they called me later saying that the only remaining places left is the bar. I was okay with that since the restaurant is quite small (around 20 places). I ordered an extra appetizer (tataki beef). It took around 1 hour for it to be served, then more 30 minutes for the first official starter on the menu. The other dishes were served quickly after that. What shocked me a little bit that I order a glass of red wine after a glass white and it was served in my used white wine glass. Overall I would recommend the restaurant for the Asian-French fusion cuisine :)

Five courses of mystery. Each one more delicious than the last. We really enjoyed our meal and we would definitely return.

Incredible dining experience. A full tasting menu with wine paring that was very well curated. The dishes were light but flavourful and super creative, and presented delightfully. The service was great, with very knowledgeable and kind servers. The restaurant is warm and cosy but not overly casual or formal. A nice mix. This is a top meal for me.

This restaurant is focused on French cuisine..we decided to order the seven course dinner and were totally pleased with our choice..the atmosphere was rich with warmth and had a very cozy feeling..each dish was described in a very interesting way and each step in the evening meal was taken slowly and with a focus on taste..a very quality meal from beginning to end.. and yes the dessert was absolutely delicious…we enjoyed the total evening and spent some time in our hotel trying to determine the nature of some of tonight’s food, especially the sweetbread portion of the meal..it was so unique and and quite delicious…

I had a good experience here taking 5 course dinner with wine pairings. They were able to adapt a course for me to fit my food preference, although I recommend notifying them in advance when making a reservation. The food was really good especially the fish. The dessert was surprising and had an interesting combination of ingredients.

A wonderful little gem beside a bustling area of Dijon. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous and managed to find one seat for me at the last minute (which was within covid restrictions as another party was of 3, so literally only left room for a table of 1 - me!) In the evening you get the set 5 course meal, which is fusion of French and Asian inspiration. The twists on foods was exciting and fresh - classics but brought new life by a touch of something classically unusual but wonderfully paired! My meal included fried tofu, egg with mushroom foam, fish, pork (which was incredible!!!!) and strawberry and cream dessert. Staff wear masks and practiced COVID guidelines but in a way that one felt comfortable but enjoyed an otherwise lovely evening and meal. Highly recommend for a lovely meal in Dijon!

Absolute five star experience. We had the five course set meal.. every plate a surprise. The waiter was phenomenal. She recommended perfect wines to accompany our meals. Lovely atmosphere, we sat street side with our twin baby daughters. Super accommodating.

I was pleasantly surprised with Parapluie despite not knowing what is on the current menu! Their concept is to cook what’s seasonal and local, so their menu is always changing. We took the 5 course dégustation with wine pairing. Everything was delicious and the wine pairings were interesting and not just Bourgogne. The service was also great, la serveuse was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine! Definitely will try to come back every season to see what new menu they offer! Edit: They are also ok with English speaking customers!

This little gem of a restaurant is a must! We were served by Charles and he really Looked after us! I’m GF but they managed to alter things and accommodated my needs really well!

Delicious food! The waiters are very professional and friendly. They give you detailed information about the plates they serve. You definitly have to reserve a table in advance.

What an incredible good restaurant. The French food with an Asian taste is just delicious. The chef has a lot of time for the clients to explain everything and to have a good talk. Also the served wines are perfect. We really enjoyed every minute and will return soon again.

Fantastic place! Excellent dinner in food, atmosphere and service! We love love love the Asian/French fusion cuisine - definitively a place to visit ... Great great great! Definitively an experience for the senses ... also my daughter enjoyed the food! Thank you Parapluie!

I'm giving this place 5 stars because I don't believe in leaving awful reviews too often. That being said, the food was not amazing. The service was great though. I'd skip this place in favor of something else. Would have rather had a kebab.

We had a wonderful time. The food is amazing and the waiters as well. We always appreciate the personal touch. I would recommend this place if you like fine dining. My tip is to make a reservation in advance because when we were there it was fully booked.
