Most unique part of this cathedral is its Romanesque circular crypt, over 1,000 years old, with its 8 monolithic columns and another circle of columns with archaic capitals. Tomb of Saint Benigne at the entrance with ancient mosaics. Some of the walls are actually made of sarcophagi. A top opening cleverly lets in a beam of light. Highly atmospheric place of timeless beauty.

Beautiful Cathedral in the city of Dijon. It's not a big one but it has some great statues and a wonderful altar. Nice historical explanation is visible inside and how and when it was build. As always when visiting a Cathedral we lighted some candles. There nothing negative to say about it so just visit and enjoy the beauty.

Nice Gothic church completed in the 14th century and burial place of Philip the Good aka Philip III Duke of Burgundy who reigned during the 15th century. There are some fine details to be seen, like the stained glass windows

A beautiful cathedral that is free to visit. You can also pay 2 euros for an underground crypt that is rather spooky.

Beautiful Church with high ceilings. Its excellent features are the presence of highly artistic statues, which many museums of the world could envy. The cathedral left a good impression, a bright tall building with huge windows. Separately, it should be said about the church organ, if you say that it is beautiful, it's nothing to say! And how does it sound!

Nice high ceilings and nicely detailed stained glass. Regretfully the crypt had been closed for two years and would be for two more due to renovations. The tourist office had specifically mentioned it as worthwhile. Staff was helpful and kind. We liked the fact that the church didn't overly depict Jesus's suffering, but offered space for contemplation.

Nice cathedral in the city center of Dijon. We explored the city center of Dijon with some friends. As everything is in walking distance, it makes sense to pass by the cathedral and take a glance at it.

The crypt is quite interesting and there was nice quiet music playing in the main part of the cathedral.

Beautiful building. If you have been visiting other Abbeys, then it may be less impressive since they look very similar to each other.

Another of the great gothic cathedrals of France, this one having one of the distinctive patterned tile roofs typical of Burgundian major buildings. Not as impressive as the cathedrals of northern France, but certainly worth visiting in this lovely city
