Beds are hard. Some like that, some don't. The weird thing was that we went outside to the restaurant and asked for coffee. We could go sit inside , not allowed outside. And once we were inside we got the wine card. So we walked away..

A great location and internal parking, but pretty run down. We had 2 rooms, one had no shower rail to hold the shower head, so it lay in the bath and the bath and sink drains were blocked. In the other room the shower screen had been broken off and was missing from the bath, so water splashed everywhere. Also badly broken tiles.

Superb food, wonderful knowledgable servers however not 5 stars simply because my saignante (medium rare) beef was far too chewy for medium rare. All in all, very nice place.

Lovely location right in the middle of town. Undercover parking on site but not for tall vehicles. Fascinating old buildings with internal oak beams dating back to 15th century apparently. We had a big family room for 5 with our children on a mezzanine floor. Loads of places to eat very locally and even a thriving board game café just down the street. We didn't eat there but accommodation was good value.

It's a 2* Old Coach House in a fantastic location in the centre of town and near street markets. Accommodation is basic but it was clean, good shower and some British T.V which we never get anywhere in 4* hotels on road trips except a News chanel. Staff spoke english and were very helpful parking in their garage is €5 a night. We would come back again :-)

Quaint little old coaching inn which has a lot of charm and close to Dijon centre there are many bars and local restaurants around as well as the one at the hotel which is excellent

Where do I start, it was awful and so bad we did not feel safe enough to stay - I have never had an experience like it. I should've known something was wrong because over the few months since we booked the hotel failed to answer various emails. I just wish we had not just relied on Booking dot Com reviews, but checked here and other places before we booked. When we got to the hotel the room wasn’t ready and the hotelier said our three bank cards had been declined and he wanted cash. We had heavy bags, the weather was in excess of 30 degrees and we'd been on the road for hours. We have evidence that all our card companies confirmed no attempt to take payment was ever made. This raised big fraud concerns which my card company agreed with. The hotelier didn't appear to like that I called my credit card company rather than get cash out and started to talk over my call and made gesticulations. I had to raise my hand to ask him to stop. Because the booking was guaranteed by credit card we felt sure he was trying to defraud us and get two payments (one in cash and one via Booking dot com). We've since discovered this sort of thing has happened before leaving customers out of pocket. The hotelier was rude, arrogant and aggressive - stomping around, closing doors and rattling keys. He was utterly dismissive & rude when we asked if his card machine might be broken. It's always possible one card might not have worked, but there an attempt would have been visible by the credit card company and there was nothing. But for three cards from three separate banks, all functional and with credit feels extremely dodgy. There hadn't been a problem with any of them before visiting this hotel and there wasn't after. Booking dot com have been useless when we called for help leaving us feeling very unsafe in this man's company, not least because of the hotelier's aggressive behaviour towards us. I'm utterly shocked that Booking dot Com advertises this hotel when the numerous reviews and complaints are taken into consideration - it appears the hotel has a long standing reputation for taking too much money, not having rooms ready, bed bugs and turning families away late at night from rooms already paid for. I'm surprised Dijon council hasn't closed them down to be honest. We didn’t feel safe with this man, so we were forced to find another hotel - sadly three times the price, but the staff were lovely and actually opened up rooms they'd closed because of potential noise from a party. They were extremely shocked at how we had been treated. Booking still want the full cancellation fee from us despite the awful service and potentially fraudulent behaviour of the hotel. Next steps is legal advice and a report to the French police and the council in Dijon about the hotel which left us out of pocket and delayed our holiday in Dijon. I have absolutely no trust in this hotel or Booking dot com whatsoever. We would've been safer sleeping in our car. I just hope I never experience anything like this again.

Due to circumstances we had to cancel our reservation. Free cancellation was included at the moment of reservation, 2 months after the cancellation we are still waiting for our money. Bad service, no communication!
