Very impressed with the upkeep and maintenance. Informative. Variety of animals and they look fairly healthy. Entrance fee was free. Problem is there was only 1 convenient store open with a long queue! Also feed for animals was closed. Nice place for family and kids. Picnic areas available. They close the gates at 3:30pm

Visiting the Riyadh Zoo is a unique experience. It is home to over 600 species of animals, birds, and reptiles, ranging from lions to giraffes to birds of prey. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants and snack stands to choose from, so you can enjoy the zoo all day long.

Well organised and very clean. All the animals are well fed and seem happy, except for a white lioness that looks very skinny. The cages are relatively safe. Everything was great except for six things : 1. Most of the shops only take cards no cash 2. Until yesterday there was no zebra, no turtles, and no hippopotamus ( eventhough they are listed in the map but their areas are empty ) 3. Feeding the animals is not well studied, and kids are meant to give food to the animals using a long iron stick which is dangerous for the animals especially the horses. Horses must only be fed by hand . 4. The farm area is very weak, it could be easily made bigger and must have more basic farm animals like sheep at least. 5. It is definitely missing a juice shop. 6. The glass is very dirty especially at the monkey and fox cages, which makes it a bit hard to see inside. The seal area is amazing. The entrance fee is very low , Under 3 years free entrance Kids 5 SAR Adults 10 SAR I highly recommended it , a great place to spend 3-4 hours with kids

One of the prominent, educational and recreational family place to visit. Best visiting days/timings: Mid of December to Mid of February 10:30am to 4:30pm(5o avoid traffic congestion). Have been visiting this place since 2017, each year, observed improvements. Renovation Works is in progress, means more addition is expected....highly recommended for families to visit.

After renewed the zoo, we got chance to visit. It’s very clean and lot of employees are there for security. It’ll take minimum 4 hours to visit all animals. Lot of food and snacks shop’s inside the zoo. It’s 💯 worthy place to spend your time. Kids they love it!

It’s a fantastic Zoo to take your kids. It’s not comparable to San Diego Zoo, but it’s really nice. There are a lot of places to eat and sit, so don’t worry about that. There are pretzels, pizza, sandwiches, ice cream, etc. You are able to feed certain animals with the kids for a cost. You and your family would enjoy this Zoo, I’ll definitely come back again.

Good place to visit. Now after the renovation, lot of new animals inducted. Kids will enjoy. Before going, check the feeding time if you want to enjoy that. Food inside is too costly that too with low quality even though good brands like Dominos.being available. Not sure why. If going during riyadh season, book the ticket via webook 1/2 week early because without tickets they don't allow and the first day was not managed properly and so many people were stranded outside. There was no proper communication available by the management. Below is only for vegetarian people - nothing much is available to eat so make sure you fill up before going. Outside food is not allowed.

We have been here before, and then it was okay. Now it is incredible! I have been to many zoos and the experiences here are some of the best! Wonderful exhibits! The animals are so close! We had a beautiful encounter with the brown bear which was so special. He played in the water right on the other side of the glass, putting his face against ours, paws on our hands, multiple times. He splashed less than a meter from us. We sat there for a long time, unwilling to leave him. We stayed until he left the pool (at least 20min). I will remember it for my entire life. Thank you.

One of the best Zoo in the kingdom... Neat and clean walking area's. Well arrangement for the animals. There is some of arrangements for rest area's and refreshments. Good for the families and especially for kids. My suggestion : Arrow marking for the ways could be more helpful for the visitors like it will show the walk ways for the next area's/animals. Otherwise there is a chance for visitors to miss some animals. Best time to visit in summer time is 4pm-6pm

It’s a good place to visit with your family or friends. It’s ofc a good place for children it’s a zoo after all :) But It’s advisable to go in winter it’s too hot in summer I went in summer and regretted it (it was too freaking hot).

Car parking is opposite road side of Zoo.

It was really great to visit. The weather was nice. There are alot of animals more than 40 you can see here. The snakes section is closed due to renovation i guess. Cafes ,shops and fast food are available. There's also a toy shop for kids. And a Train to get a quick view of the whole zoo. Generally the whole trip was fun. Usually it's hot there so make sure to either visit in winters or wear sunglasses and sunblock.

It's a good place to visit with family especially children. And we can find a lot of wild animals and birds. Some of them are not regularly seeing animals in zoos. It's good to maintain, if you can spend a minimum of 3hour is required to finish to complete the area of this zoo. It opens at 9am to 6pm. Only one issue is that it is very difficult to get drinking water. It has a long queue in front of the shops which is inside of the zoo.

The best ever place to bring children. Very wide and clean. Too many animals from all over the world. Elephants, zaraph, zebra leopard, gecko, white lion white tiger, white deer, champenzie, monkey, eagle, love birds, Patriots, mukao birds and many more are there. Well arranged and safe. A boundary wall and a glass is installed for safety. A beautiful high fountain attracts a crowd. It was a pleasant day. Much greenery and sorrondings. Many restaurants are located inside as well. A highly recommended place. Check the weather or prefer to visit after 5 pm due to outside hit weather.

I like the change that has been made. It's more appealing for children. Clean, spacious and a great place to visit with the family, as there are benches all around, for the tired visitors to rest. An abundance of snacks, finger food and ice cream, along with drinks Widely available. There's not much animals, however did not like to see the giraffe, with the tranquilizer and other animals look a little sad. But we liked the birds and the ambience to chill. Would recommend to take little kids. They would like to run, play, the dress up as animals were super cute, so was the little marching band.

Center of the city Zoo. Better for a week end trip with family. It's not a very big but it keeps satisfied for a day. Safe for children, well maintained and clean place. Weekdays are not much crowded, So it will be best time to visit.

Tickets are free, but you must book in advance. The garden is beautiful and worth a visit. The security personnel are excellent and we wish them success, but they need courses in customer service because they perform the role of customer service in addition to their work.

Excellent place to visit with Kids, It was showing temporary closed on Google on last Friday, However it was open from 1-5pm. Entry was free, They didn’t mandated buying tickets for now. Just to be on a safer side, I would suggest buying tickets prior to your visit if you’re coming far from. Scan the QR code for tickets.

Ticket for an adult is SAR 11.50. Being with family is not necessary for the entry. Cameras are allowed. Animals were very neat and clean but sad. And very low number of species. Staff was very polite and cooperative.

It was wonderful experience, but I advice you to wear clothes with light colours, add sunblock,and white cap. Because the Sun is really strong in that area.

I haven't visited this zoo since I was a child. Traces of delightful memories were there, but the zoo was incredibly revamped compared to the past. I love, love love the new organized sections. What's more amazing is: it's for free! No entering fee! Usually, zoos taking care of like this one have an entering fee. The staff are AMAZING and deserve a raise for dealing with huge crowds who tried to push their way inside without making a reservation and refusing to make an organized line.

Loved the place...... As a community member, i felt guilty that people are throwing plastics into the animal cage. Animals are trying to eat those which will be unhealthy for them... Visitors should avoid such things... Very nice place for family and kids to visit. For bachelors only Monday and Wednesday... Many species has been maintained really well... In this zoo you can see different kind of animals and birds and much more. Good place, very neat, and clean. Children love this place. You can find many eateries and drinks. Riyadh zoo is a good attraction in riyadh, located in heart of city in Malaz. Very easily accessible, best time to visit is after 4 PM and 2 hours is sufficient. Good variety of animals and birds, small vehicle available for round trip and basic food items available. Entrance ticket is SAR 11 for adults and free for children. Sufficient parking is available

In webook app while checking for tickets it's always sold out. But they allow us to enter even without online booking. We visited on a Friday morning around 10:30. It would be a great experience for kids. It's crowded but we'll managed with lots of staffs. Must specially mention it's cleanliness.

Good place to hangout with family in Riyadh Beautiful animals and well maintained. Kindly check with the authority because each day is dedicated to different groups , for instance on Sunday only family , Monday students etc. It closes by sunset , I.e by Magrib time. Everyone needs to rush out as the sunsets because there are mosquitoes and better to avoid mosquito bites.

Love it love it love it Its such a nice well mentained zoo with so many different animals. Kids loved it and so the adults.would recommend to carry water bottle while going there.You will find all kinds of animals, birds, and white lion looked majestic and beautiful. Elephant was very bulky and entertaining. they have parrots of different varieties, the giant crocodiles was lying lifeless. All these and many more to see for just 11SR THATS AMAZING DEAL.

It's great. Had fun. Saw some animals that I haven't seen from other zoo. Just a note: Parking can be tricky during Fridays but there are neighbouring alleyways that you can park your car.

Summer of 2023 weekday visit. Bring an umbrella, a hat and extra cold water bottles. It will be a hot visit, but realize it is even hotter for the animals. I arrived by taxi. Make sure you get a green teal colored cab and not somebody random. A short trip from my hotel, but it was nice not to have to walk there since I would be walking once I arrived. I purchased my ticket at the outside counter and immediately filled that the space was friendly and safe. There are many staff around cleaning cages and feeding a variety of animals and birds. I spent 2 hours and 15 minutes exploring the grounds with a temperature of 110°. It was not busy today, no li es and very few people in thenpark today. There are numerous places to grab a bite to eat throughout the zoo. The gift shop is geared mainly toward children's gifts. I saw: lions, tigers, leopards, black leopards, bears, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelope, a variety of parakeets and other birds, raccoons, monkeys, apes, sea lions, goats, donkeys, flamingos and too much more to list. Toilet facilities were available in a several places throughout the park. I used the one at the entrance. I only wishbit were cooler and there was more water pools in each cage foe the animals to cool down. I truly had an amazing visit seeing so many animals in such a small place with no lines whatsoever. It was easy to get a cab home. Make sure the cab's meter is working and they have adequate seatbelts.

It is probably the biggest zoo in Saudi Arabia. It is a good idea to visit the place with the family. There are few food stands inside. The downside, you will have a hard time finding a parking spot. So, better use a taxi to get there. The tickets fee is reasonable. But, the ticket window is crowded. I am surprised that they did not avail online purchase for the tickets.

It good but many animals and birds are missing from my past trip. Safari trip and snake parks are not there. But still it's a good place for kids and families for a day trip.

Very nice place for kids and family. The collection of animals are very good and educational for the kids. The facilities are good and well distributed, the public areas are also clean and so tidy. Areas of improvement: 1. Wish if the payment is easier (online or faster queues). 2. More Parking areas. 3. Update the signs about the animals, making them colorful, and with Educational information, I noticed that some of the animals without signs, or unrelated.

I visited some weeks back and I must say I am really impressed with the kind of animals I saw, I must say I didn’t quite expect to see some animals in the zoo. It’s a beautiful place and it’s best to visit in the morning, this will enable you explore the zoo and see all the animals ( it’s a very big place) the close time is between 6-7pm and there are also some shops where you can buy some food. You will have to pay a small amount for ticket ( I think 20sar) but kids under certain age are free.

Some animals you can feed and it's written on the boards clearly. Proper ways are marked with sign boards. Well maintained and places to sit. But the shops cafes not good I would say and needs much improvement in food variety. Free parking available on site but can be full in public holidays. Online and onsite both tickets available.

As a Google guide, I recently visited Riyadh Zoo and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of animals and attractions on offer. The zoo is well-maintained and has a good selection of wildlife from around the world, including lions, tigers and elephants.The enclosures are spacious and appear to be designed with the animals' welfare in mind. In addition to the animal exhibits, the zoo has several play areas for children, as well as food and drink outlets. I particularly enjoyed the bird exhibit, which had a wide range of exotic birds and provided a unique opportunity to get up close to them. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Riyadh Zoo, whether you are a local resident or a tourist. The entrance fee is affordable, and there is plenty to see and do for visitors of all ages. Green, clean and beautiful inside. Well organized and the security did a fantastic job of controlling the crowd. My two criticisms are first, that the line to get in was crazy! We waited almost an hour just get in and had to push through an ocean of people. We went on a Friday at around 3pm. Secondly, I feel the enclosures for the animals are too small. I wish they could make them bigger so the animals could have a better quality of life. Also, the man handling the elephant had a leather whip, don't know if that's nessisary. There was only one small shop selling popcorn and snacks and there was a long line for it.

It is beautiful and entertaining, and it has many types of animals. You can spend two hours in it and never finish it, and you never feel bored. For me, I very much enjoyed the visit and watching the cute animals.

They have a wide variety of animals but the close at sunset and there is not enough parking places so I'd recommend getting an Uber or if you have a driver let him drive you there it is pretty crowded esspacially on weekends but you can still admire all the animals while practicing social distancing except for the lion so to shorten this up read this: it is a good place but some of the people don't care about covid and they touch all the railing so avoid them and I would not advise taking a child with you as they might go to see an animal and get lost there is not enough parking so it's advised to get an Uber or a driver if you have one and there is lots of animals including giraffes and a tiger and lions and monkeys and llamas and bears and elephants. So I would recommend this to anyone if they can go on a weekday.

This is best to go with kids. They will be mesmerized. And won't let you traumatize your day. You can even go there and sit for some while relax and let kids explore themselves. I'm pretty sure you will have a good time. It has entry fee of 12 for adult and 6 for kids above 3 and free for kids below 3.

This place is good to visit. But it is too much rushy especially over the weekend. It’s better to avoid going these days due to covid. If you still wanna go then try to visit on week days. New glass cages has been added and kids slides have also been installed. And 7D zoo cinema has also opened in it.

الحديقة جميلة و نظيفة جداً واغلب الحيوانات موجودة وواضحة .. بداية اليوم كان الجو بارد والشمس خفيفة بعدين احتجنا شمسية لأن الشمس قوية مع الهواء البارد .. كل شي متوفر في الكشكات والكافيه باسعار جداً بسيطة .. بعض الحيوانات تدخل وما تكون واضحة يمكن تحتاج اكثر من لفة على الحديقة.

This place hold lots of my childhood memories... I highly recommend it. The animals are put in thier natural habitats.Also, there are snack cottage all over the park! I loved watching the lion and the white white lions, the tiger, the bear, and many many more!

It was an amazing experienced and i am 100% satisfied. There are lots of rare animal that i did not see in my own country and zoo's of other countries. I highly recommend you to go visit here and it was affordable like 11 SR only. You can bring all your family members,surely the kids will enjoy.

You need at least 2-3 hours to visit the whole zoo. There are many cafeterias including main dining hall to enjoy your lunch and snacks with variety of options. Elephants, Lions, Bears, Giraffes, Birds, and Monkeys are most attractive cages where kids are mostly gathered and cheer upon their tricks. Its recommended to reach the Zoo latest by mid-day so you can finish your visit before closing time around Maghrib prayer. Weekends are usually crowded so you can drop your family at main gate for buying tickets and meanwhile park your vehicle at adjacent huge parking.

Children do cycling and roller skates here. Its a good place to walk too. Usually it is not crowded as zoo closes just after asr prayer. So if you are looking for a place to enjoy fresh air ,walk or just relax. Do visit this place after Maghrib salah. It has a huge parking at its side. You can bring your own food or I have seen few vendors and food trucks too. We went there last week when it was very windy and we enjoyed alot. Nice place, its well designed and architecture its quite amazing.............. Its full of different animals... 8-9 types of wild cats (tiger). I saw extremely good connections between zoo animals and zoo keeper. I was beautiful to watch them working like that... One thing that i didn't liked was the cleanliness, place is not cleaned... Here n there wrappers n garbage.... Washrooms r dirty without tissues n broken... It was extremely dirty...

Nice yet, need more organization as one walk-through way to check all animals in the zoo and need more shops which already under construction. the shops’ prices are high inside the zoo in same barns you have to buy the animals food to go into the observation spots Overall we’ve enjoyed the journey recommended for families with in-advanced planning

Honestly we enjoyed the experience so much, it was very well organized in matter of routes and explaining where to go and how to get where you need. The place was so massive it needs a few hours to explore all and to get to see every part of it, totally a place to visit when you are in riyadh and have a few hours to spare.

Especially there are lion, tiger, giraffe, monkey, jaguar, hyena, camel, all different snakes, fishes and much more too enjoy and watch ..
