Hadn't
been
here
for
20+
years
so
was
great
to
go
back
and
revisit
a
pretty
good
pub
from
the
early
naughties.
Immediately
upon
entering
I
noticed
that
i
was
missing
the
silver
hair
that
was
clearly
part
of
a
uniform
that
all
patrons
wear
so
felt
a
little
out
of
place
but
soldiered
on
with
the
family.
It
was
busy
which
is
always
a
good
sign
and
the
menu
has
a
large
array
of
items
to
choose
from.
There
was
a
clear
red
flag
with
a
specific
"parma"
section
but
the
"charred
to
perfection"
scotch
fillet
caught
my
eye.
I
decided
on
the
chips
and
vegies
option
with
a
mushroom
sauce
to
accompany
my
charred
to
perfection
steak.
I
went
up
and
ordered
our
dinners
along
with
a
buffalo
wing
entrée
with
a
blue
cheese
dressing
and
a
couple
of
drinks
and
the
service
was
wonderful.
I
was
getting
excited.
Drink
was
exactly
as
I
had
requested
so
i
headed
back
to
my
table.
The
lovely
ladies
on
the
table
next
to
us,
who
were
enjoying
some
delicacies
from
the
seniors
menu,
kept
singing
the
praises
of
the
establishment
so
you
can
understand
my
excitement
was
now
at
fever
pitch.
Barely
10
mins
passed
and
"BANG"
we
have
buffalo
wings
and
blue
cheese
sauce
on
the
table.
Buffalo
wings
were
an
interesting
Chernobyl
inspired
colour
and
blue
cheese
sauce
looked
a
lot
like
mayonnaise.
Flavour
was
ok
for
the
wings
but
the
sauce
was
definitely
mayonnaise
and
flavoured
with
what
could
only
be
described
as
foot
cheese.
That
was
the
really
good
dish.
Then
came
the
heralded
perfectly
charred
scotch
fillet
and
vegies.
Lets
start
with
the
good.....
The
chips
were
quite
nice.
Then
came
the
bad.....
the
$46
scotch
fillet
had
somehow
had
the
moisture
completely
sucked
from
it.
On
closer
inspection
it
was
pink
and
dry.
I'm
not
sure
the
good
people
at
NASA
would
be
able
to
explain
that.
Then
came
the
bizarre.
The
vegetables.
I
believe
the
recipe
would
have
been
as
follows.
get
a
carrot,
a
zucchini
and
a
cauliflower
and
cut
like
you're
a
4
year
old
with
a
plastic
spoon.
Run
under
hot
water
and
then
throw
on
plate.
A
small
suggestion
I
would
make
is
salt.
Probably
wouldn't
of
helped
but
at
least
I
could
say
it
was
seasoned.
overall
venue
is
pretty
good
and
the
staff
are
genuinely
lovely
however
the
food
is.......
you
know
what
the
staff
were
lovely
so
lets
just
say
the
chips
are
great
and
leave
it
at
that.
It
may
have
been
an
off
night
so
I
look
forward
to
trying
again
in
the
future
and
hope
they
find
the
moisture
from
my
steak.
