Very good food and lovely setting. We had a very enjoyable afternoon, sitting in the sun and enjoying food and drink. The location is very picturesque. Great place to go to meet with friends or enjoy some family time. If you sit outside, be careful of the wasps. There were quite a few hanging around. I kept a menu and waved them off when they came near.

Dined on a Sat night. Couldn't book a table online so we arrived & luckily found a table. I had the Thai satay pork & pineapple curry & hubby had a parma. We both enjoyed our meals. I also had a margarita cocktail. It was very busy, loud & noisy atmosphere, we had to yell to be able to have a conversation so whilst we enjoyed the food, we did not enjoy the loud atmosphere. Not sure if it's like this all the time or because it was a Sat night?

Nestled in the serene heart of what appears to be a small country village, The Grand Hotel Warrandyte is a destination that brims with character, great service, and abundant portions. It's no wonder this spot is beloved by weekend travelers searching for a quaint and cozy retreat. Upon our recent visit, we were there to celebrate an extended family member's 50th birthday. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming. The homely decor with a charming rustic touch lent an air of comfortable familiarity, as if inviting us to make ourselves at home. The dining experience was an adventure in itself. As newcomers, we were good-naturedly warned by other patrons not to over-order due to the generous sizes of the meals. This warning turned out to be truer than we could have anticipated, and as the food arrived, it was a sight to behold. We were met with portions large enough to challenge the hungriest of appetites. Yet, it wasn't just the size of the meals that left an impression. The culinary delights that the hotel presented were a feast for the taste buds. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with pleasing and satisfying flavours. Despite the excellent food and the delightful setting, it was an outstanding service that truly set The Grand Hotel Warrandyte apart. The staff were courteous, attentive, and notably efficient. They made our celebration all the more special with their readiness to assist and their genuinely friendly demeanour. In terms of pricing, the hotel sits comfortably in the average range. Considering the ample portions and the quality of service, we felt we received excellent value for our money. The hotel also offers an impressive venue for weddings, boasting two large areas upstairs, one of which overlooks the main road and river, making for a picturesque backdrop. To sum up, our visit to The Grand Hotel Warrandyte was an experience of homely comfort, culinary abundance, and warm hospitality. It was a celebration that will remain in our memories for years to come. So, if you're in the area and looking for a place that offers a unique dining experience or an idyllic spot for a special event, The Grand Hotel Warrandyte should be on your list.

Beautiful pub, very nicely/tastefully refurbished on the inside and in a beautiful old building in a lovely little town, great motorbike rides in and around the area.

Sadly under staffed due to pandemic. Food very ordinary however super large servings. So if you prefer quantity over quality this would be your go to!

Came here on hot New Year's Day afternoon, and asked the lady at counter if they sell coffee here. "NO" was also she said. Well, I understand u sell alcohol and that brings in more benefit to u, but IF I were to work in customer service again, it wouldn't hurt telling the customer in a nicer way, such as "I'm sorry but we do not have coffee" THAN being rude to them.

Such a lively pub, loved the atmosphere, nice outdoor sitting area, yummy chicken parma and hamburger, loved the tender steak, and the margarita pizza was out of this world for the vegeterians. Great place to hang out with friends for food and drink.

A glorious pub to visit. Lots of different rooms and places to eat. Service was also every good and the food was astonishingly good. I got the chicken curry and was excellent.

It's such an amazing place! We came to this gorgeous town to visit some friends and they bought us here for dinner! The food was just amazing! Hubby had the steak, and I had the salmon. Both meals were delicious! Right across the road is the stunning Yarra river, so we went for a nice long walk at sunset to finish off an amazing evening!

Great country pub, excellent service and a very good menu, we were made to feel very welcome. Good range of beers on tap, plenty of great seating options. We'll worth the drive out. Highly recommended.

Amazing venue for dining indoors and outdoors no matter the weather, super friendly staff and some seriously delicious food with seasonal menu specials. Also have a great range of beers on tap for those true beer lovers. Short stroll across the road to the Yarra river as well so you can make a day out of it. Definitely recommend dining in at the grand Warrandyte for a burger and beer.

I recently dined at this pub that had garnered quite a reputation for its chicken parma. While I found the chicken parma to be a bit overrated and not quite up to the hype, the experience was significantly elevated by the exceptional staff and the fantastic ambiance of the venue. The chicken parma, which had been touted as a must-try, unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The flavor was decent, but the dish seemed to lack the wow factor I had anticipated. Despite the disappointment in the main course, the rest of the dining experience was truly enjoyable. The staff at the pub were undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and genuine enthusiasm for ensuring guests have a great time were truly commendable. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and catered to, turning what could have been a lackluster meal into a memorable visit. The venue itself exuded a delightful ambiance and a lively vibe. The interior decor was tastefully done, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The pub managed to strike a perfect balance between a relaxed setting and an energetic buzz. It's the kind of place where you can unwind with friends after a long day or enjoy a cheerful night out. In terms of pricing, the pub hit a mid-range mark, offering good value for the overall experience. While the chicken parma might not have been the star of the show, the exceptional service and the vibrant atmosphere more than made up for it. If you're looking for a place with a great vibe, friendly staff, and are willing to explore beyond the hyped dish, this pub is definitely worth a visit.

Pleasant pub experience in a scenic location of Warrrandyte. The pizza had an undercooked pizza base, which should be looked into. The other meals, beers and service was good.

Tasty but I thought it was a little overpriced. Maybe I’m just used to the US dollar prices😅 Most of the employees were very kind and helpful. Espresso martinis are my fav so it was tasty. Onion rings were SUPER good. Grilled calamari was good but I wouldn’t recommend with the chorizo personally. Burger was average in my boyfriends opinion.

A restaurant that can accommodate a lot of people, the scenery outside the window is beautiful, there are many choices of food, and the taste is good! The only downside is that there is no coffee.

I am very regular here and like the vibe, small town feeling and friendly staff here. This last visit was to celebrate my niece’s birthday and for some reason the restaurant was full on a Tuesday. The food took a long time to come as expected, but what I liked was that staff was very apologetic. You guys are doing an amazing job!!!!

I went there after a long day at the snow and craving for hot warm and meaty food. Ordered the beef cheek, pea soup and penang curry. The marshy thing under the beef cheek was cold, the rice of the curry was cold, the pea soup has a fungi taste. The place has no signals for our phone but theres a QR code to scan the menu. How can I use it without signal, internet or wifi? Very disappointed

We ordered soup as an entree but the main came first. Then they tried to make out the soup was a main and I said take the main away I’ll have my soup first After finishing my soup they bought out my main which was stone cold. They returned the meal to the kitchen and the chef reluctantly cooked a fresh dish for me. Not good when you pay good money

I had my wedding here in the Riverview room. It was such a beautiful experience and I have so much gratitude and appreciation for the staff. They did an outstanding job organizing the space and following up on details for the big day. The food was amazing! We had a cocktail style wedding and people told me after that they had more than enough food and loved trying everything. I would highly recommend the Grand Hotel as an affordable and beautiful space for events. It felt elegant but also comfortable and spacious enough for 80 guests.

Wow the best fish and chips I’ve had in Melbourne! Sooo tasty. Salad was fresh and not too overdressed. Batter was tasty and not too oily. Chips were perfectly cooked. Minus one star to improve having dogs allowed on the deck. Everything else fantastic. Would like to see more midweek specials

The Grand has a great pub atmosphere coupled with a great bunch of staff. We enjoyed our meal, yes there was an ordering slip up but aside from that minor hiccup for which they were very apologetic, very enjoyable. Food portions are generous and on top of that we didn't have to order additional sides, it was a complete meal. Definitely going back.

If you want food that taste bland, boring and cold. Then you’re at the right place! Food was tasteless, cold, bland, processed food, basically eating Mac Donald. If you want an air bag for your car buy the Wagyu Burger its was hard, tasteless, cold and dry, you couldn’t even swap out the salad for vegetables. If you want drinks well your not getting here.. go to the bottle’O and drink before. Tables, floor and bathrooms were all sticky. So make you sure you wash your hands afterwards. Overall 0/5 if i could rate any lower i would.. it was dog water.

Well, what an incredible experience. Walking through the door just after 12.30pm, we were greeted by two staff who made my partner and me feel as if we were the special guests, with smiles and a lovely welcoming. The young lady gave us the menu and we proceeded to a table facing Yarra street. It was explained where to order our food and our drinks. We only had a very light lunch. Wahgu beef sliders. They were absolutely delicious. The menu isn’t terribly complicated nor is it large, but every plate we saw coming from the kitchen looked like the crew in the kitchen care about their products and trade. At the bar, the bar tender was just as welcoming as those at the door. Smiles and enthusiasm. When the sliders arrived (again with a huge smile) they looked and tasted magnificent. It is clearly an establishment that has a great management team that look after their people. We were so impressed with our experience at The Grand and would recommend it every day.

Haven't been to the pub for a couple of years but the menu has definitely changed to very simple pub grub. The food used to be great. If you are going to do simple food you have to do it well and unfortunately 2 of our 3 meals were less than average. Shepherd's pie was on the specials menu and was full of eggplant and quite bland with fatty overtones. The fish in the fish and chips was tastless, batter was terrible and overcooked. Sorry but you are charging a premium and we expected better.

The meals were horrible one was unedible . Service was bad and staff were rude. So turned into what was a favourite pub to never would go back again.

Very busy today. Waiting staff polite and friendly. Food reasonable though only 6 chips came with the order for polenta chip side dish, needed more chips with this order although the chips are very large. Pleasant eating outside on a lovely day, did have to ask for menus. Alcoholic drinks nice. Should be more of a choice on the dessert list (only 2 choices here). Main course choice good.

Can't recommend. Food and drinks are typical and nothing to write home about, but the service was astoundingly bad. Appreciate that it was a really busy day but after lining up for 10 minutes, was told that for orders with food it was another line, then after queuing another 15 minutes in that line, someone was put in front of me by staff because they had been queueing in the wrong line? Seems fair. Then when it's finally my turn to order I'm told I couldnt get drinks in that line...and had to queue up from in the first line AGAIN. In all I spent half an hour in a queue. Just shocking really. Get some signage.

Very nice lunch and wine. Lost a star because of seating. My grandmother who has arthritis found it extremely difficult to get onto the high stool seating. When I asked if there was a normal sized seat and table I was told no. They should think about people with disabilities. Such a shame because we would come very regularly otherwise because the food and wine were nice.

Very disappointing dinner. booked for a table online but was unable to request inside. Unable to call to speak to anyone as they no longer have phones apparently so went into the hotel to request inside table, which at the time was granted at the time. Arrived days later to find out this did not happen. They managed to accommodate us but on very high stools inside which don't suit a high chair or a 92 year old. To top it off 4 meals came out cold, staff on the night were helpful and understood our frustrations, but would no longer recommend this pub!
