This is our local cafe and our favourite reason to go for a walk on the weekends. You’ll easily recognise it as you drive along Weidlich Rd, with the distinctive artwork on the side of the property. The coffee is great and food delicious. We’ve become fans of Friday night take away and highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh, tasty takeaway with that home cooked feeling to it. If you’re heading there with kids, there are plenty of local parks to head to after. Directly across the street you’ll find a huge park area and play equipment. Highly recommend Oregon Express to anyone in the area looking for good coffee and food!

It is under new management and is now called Oregon Xpress. The coffee was very good and the breakfast burger is excellent, and reasonably priced at $14. Great service.

Nice local place, love the fireplace inside, really cool! The owners are lovely, coffee is always fantastic. The only problem is the indoor seating space smells too much and I had to wash my outfit when I came back home, I recommend takeaways or outdoor seating if uou go around the lunchtime.

While the younger staff are lovely, the owner is rude, argumentative and does not appear to be fond of children. She made my wife, kids, parents and I feel unwelcome on a Sunday afternoon lunch. We are big supporters of local business, but will certainly not be going back. My kids are very well behaved, particularly on this day. I would not like to be on the receiving end of the owners' prejudice toward young children if I were a parent with young kids having a bad day. Do yourself a favour, and sample one of the many other family-friendly small businesses in the area.

Cute little place where the old milk bar used to be, lovely service and they we're happy to accommodate the pram. The food is delicious, although portion sizes are not large...but that turns out to be a good thing, because you can have their vanilla slice and another cup of chai tea. Small amount of parking at the front and along the street. Playground over the road(up the hill).

Nice little place but VERY pricey for what you get. Recommended for a convenient coffee stop rather than a sit down place.

The place is amazing and the coffee is delicious, the best in Melbourne by far. The owners are very passionate about thier business and makes you feel welcome enough you are visiting a family home. It’s so fantastic to have a place like this in the area with such amazing food and people who love their business and provide such great service

Excellent food, coffee and service. Our group of friends have been regulars at Oregon Xpress for some time and have always found them great. They have adapted well to having a COVID safe plan and we always check in with the QR barcode they have in place and tables are always reserved and spaced out properly. Looking forward to what they do in the future.

Fanstastic coffee and breakfast here, definitely cannot wait to come back! Lovely staff and owners who made us feel very welcome. Will be my go to from now on!

Amazing and friendly staff! Always greeted with a smile and a chat each morning I go in for my regular coffee. Brilliant service always with a smile and best coffee going round. Such a beautiful cafe.

Disappointed after a promising start by look of menu options and the fact it was open late afternoon on a Sunday. As per the sign, went to counter to order, gave the order for 4 coffees and 3 cakes and told to go sit down and they'll talk our order by the manager as it'd be easier. Returned to table and gave the same order, while two people from our table gave their separate order to the manager at the counter. Was strange and the waiter agreed it was odd. Went to pay for the order so it was done and didn't have to remember at the end since the way it was done wasn't as per signage. Everything was great, and normally don't do reviews but thought I would since it's standalone but really nice so do my part to help out despite the strange service. However upon leaving was told we hadn't paid for a cake. Upon review of the receipt, and asking for pricing clarification we owed one dollar. This dispute was handled rudely and poorly and upon manager identifying we were correct offered the dollar back which we said no since her attitude wasn't worth it and she clearly needed it. Left disappointed and disgusted by the customer sevice. Then to further make the experience memorable for the wrong reasons whilst outside saying farewells, the manager had sent out one of the waitstaff to apologize for the manager as it'd been a day of errors but we hadn't paid for the coffees which they'd waive. We stated we had and they were on the receipt of payment so they weren't waiving anything. Whilst the waitstaff seemed lovely the treatment of customers from the manager over a staff error was ridiculous and I'd never return or recommend.

A fantastic little local cafe and one of our families favourites! Amazing menu, great coffee and super friendly staff. I've got 3 little ones and they're always welcome. I'm also a vegetarian and am extremely happy with the meals that I've eaten at Oregon Xpress. Definitely recommend.

What a hidden gem. First time and had had a fantastic experience. Great food, great coffee and nice staff. I'll be back next week.

Outstanding coffee, food and service

Oregon Xpress has been a great addition to the suburb of Eltham and is definitely worth a visit if you haven't been yet, the food & coffee is excellent paired with the warm & friendly service from the customers & fabulous owners that will accommodate your every need, making it a place I will keep coming back to!

Really fantastic brunch meals. Good for everyone from kids and tradies all the way to militant vegan hipsters. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Apparently these guys got awarded best brunch in Banyule last month.

Wonderful atmosphere, we had a very sweet waitress who had a bright smile. The food was brought out quite quickly and tasted excellent, the portions were perfect for us.

Great spot for a quiet coffee. Barista did a great job for both coffees and the vanilla slice was awesome! Would go again for sure.

Just moved into the area and have been here a few times and LOVE IT . Staff and the owners are very friendly and food is amazing too. Will be coming here with my family on a very regular basis .

Absolutely love this place! Amazing coffee, great menu that is regularly updated and the staff and service are outstanding! Great atmosphere and a great place to go for groups - I regularly catch up with a large group of girlfriends for brunch - kid friendly also which is handy. I’m trying to work my way through the delicious menu.

Wonderful family friendly restaurant. We have probably been there 15 times over the last year and the food and service has always been consistent and great. We arrived very late in the afternoon yesterday, just after the kitchen closed, but they were kind enough to help me out and rustle up something for my three young ravenous beasts. Thanks! My coffee shop It's always wonderful to have a place to sit and relax momentarily in life and Oregon Express is my little haven. The theme song for the sitcom, Cheers, sings "...where everybody knows your name" and Oregon Express is a little like that. George and Leah, the proprietors, always greet me in a knowing and friendly manner which makes you feel special. They know my order and Leah seems to have a handle on my taste buds as she seems to be able to sell me some pastry that I have never had before but always enjoy. I feel welcome, the coffee is good, the food is great and it is my little place to sit down, do the crosswords and Sudoku and take a breath. The fact that this café becomes so well patronised is testament to their service, their food and coffee and the wonderful ambience. The staff working there are exceptional, always friendly and seem genuinely interested in the answer when they ask you "how are you today?" I highly recommend a Portuguese Tart. They are superb.
