Lesson learned: >> some things may be cheap now specially depending on the quality of the materials, but actually cost you more in the long run, while other times it makes sense to spend more now for a better, longer-lasting experience.... << Went to the "customer service" help desk to show them a hoddie I bought from Big W (14 days ago - Circuit brand) which I had washed only once (following product care instructions, in warm water ~automatic settings 30°). It is very disappointing that after 1 wash the zipper is ruined, paet if it seems to have melted. (See pictures attached) Was told by the staff that it was my fault, that probably I had put it a drying machine (which I don't own) and that this hasn't happened before. Maybe no one has said anything about it before, so I just wanted to let them know my bad experience with one of the many products I bought from that store. 😊

    Came to this store to look for collectible toys for my partner. There was at least 6 boxes that was broken into and stolen by people who came past. We have informed the staff member but they did not seem to care enough or offer us a backup stock. Not the place to go unless you desperately need something.

    Good service staff. Did a telephone order for a PS4 pro during their offer period, and the customer service staff at the electronics section (can't recall his name) packed all the items neatly in a big bag ready for me to carry off when i arrived. I also noticed this store has more items which are usually sold out in other Big W stores, for example I bought a 31.5' DGTEC LED TV here when all the other Melbourne stores are unavailable.

    Staff are always helpful, greet customers at the entrance with big nice smile. Always willing to help for direction and items location. Special thank to Deep from home entertainment, he is a top bloke, very friendly and always offer to help me with any electronic products, photos and Xbox games, keep up the hard work!

    Worst Big W in Melbourne...needs to replenish its stock. Staff in a dream To supplement what I've already said I want to add someting else. Today I visited the store and purchased a pair of black out curtains, $29. Not bad. When I went to check out and swiped the handset with my card the message was transaction approved. The main computer screen gave a different message and wouldn't issue a receipt. Transaction declined it said. I checked the Bank of Melbourne app on my smart phone which showed that $29 had been taken from my account. I showed this to the young woman standing behind the monitor. She called security. In a moment I was surrounded by 4 security staff who said the transaction had been declined. I showed them that the $29 had been taken from my account. This went on for some time. Finally somebody who was actually a senior member of Big W staff arrived and when I showed her the state of my account on my smartphone she accepted that I was in the right and reluctantly allowed me to take my purchase. All up this took about 30 minutes in the course I was bullied, threatened and constantly told not to remove my face mask which I had to for facial recognition on my phone. It was a most distressing experience.

    I'll give this 5 star to Saboor the manager who practically understood my return products situation and made it possible to return a leather cover steering wheel and buy the other stuffs I needed rite now. To other managers, customers are more important than policies if we have the correct undamaged product and a correct receipt that defines the product details. Thanks mate Saboor ✌

    My son was looking for a toy that just came out. He couldn’t find it so he went to ask for help. He asked a staff member (with an Indian accent) and he was very unhelpful and had bad attitude. Instead of showing him the location of this particular toy, he just said where the toy section was. My son then said I can’t find the toy in the toy section. He replied again, ignoring what my son had just said, the direction of the toy section with an angry and impatient tone. After that, he continued to chat with another employee, leaving my son clueless and upset. Disgraceful!

    It is a big W if you are familiar with the chain you know what to expect. The staff are generally helpful but can be difficult to find when you need assistance. Women's selection of clothes can vary a lot depending on the season but the range of kids clothes is always solid. Technology department staff are always helpful and give you the feeling they care about what is best for you not ensuring a sale.

    The store itself is great, but I don't advise ringing with a question. While I did speak to one lovely employee when I first called, I wasn't so lucky with the area she transferred me too, I don't appreciate the sass, or being hung up on, especially when I wasn't behaving the way I was being spoken to, but cannot bad review the whole store on the actions of one employee.

    Came in just now to look for iPhone compatible headphones. Staff member Eric was extremely helpful, really took his time asking his colleagues and going around the store in order to help me locate the product. Really good customer service!
