👍 Really like this spot for coffee or breakfast. Not too pretentious, good consistent quality, friendly staff and good value. An area out the back for the nicer weather. If you're not trying to be seen this is the best in the Surrey Hills strip. People often mention coffee, love, staff, Great,

Hot drinks and breakfast were very nice and decently priced. Plenty of outdoor seating for nice days, but one of the tables outside was wobbly, and the seats out the back suffered from a lot of glare. I'd love to come back and enjoy a coffee inside on a colder day.

Service is 5 star..coffees are beautiful (best on the strip) ..food is excellent. I love small cafes that do things right, I got a muffin that was so fresh it just came out of the oven. The menu is Vietnamese influenced and we are talking fresh herbs and big flavours. Great job guys! I go the extra mile to get my coffee from here and it's worth it

This is my favourite little cafe on Union Road. Friendly staff, great coffee, simple menu and always reliable.

Coffee was fine. The atmosphere was cold. The few train engine models were a left over from previous owner interest. Current staff have no knowledge or affinity to steam or train engines. Don’t come here thinking there is anything to see. It’s just a cafe.

I love the staff/couple running this place. I love their service, foods and sweets. I love their coffee. It’s always perfect! They make it the best! Just an ordinary extra hot cupaccino, one sugar. Perhaps it’s their brand of coffee? Or the way she makes it? I don’t know,,,but it’s always perfect. 😊 thank you

Personable experience here, a lovely lady at the counter. Great food (BLAT with chips, both excellent quality) and water. I met the chef and he was really friendly and polite. Reasonable prices and lovely historical railway ambience with artefacts on display, one for rail enthusiasts to drop by for an eat-in or takeaway! Close handy to Surrey Hills station and numerous other interesting eateries and gift shops etc.

We love this cute little cafe in our neighborhood. It's unique and they have great coffee. We usually get quick bites from here, so can't say much about food, but if you want a good cup of coffee and a quick bite in this area, I recommend you to try this place. It can get cold in the winter in my opinion.

Food was pretty good and staff were very polite but it did take a long time for the food to come out. I am still surprised, however, when cafés don't offer any milks other than cow's or soy, when both options are so bad for our guts and hormones respectively. Sadly not quite up to scratch of the nearby Miss Frank or Dish and Spoon.

I swear this place make the best coffee in Melbourne! Consistently deliver amazing coffee since I moved to Surrey Hills. On top of that the owners and staff are fantastic and their attitude towards the current Covid 19 situation is outstanding and inspiring considering they are business owners themselves. Will always return and if you want great coffee and support a local business through this pandemic please get on board with Paul and Vicki @engine shed cafe! Thanks guys.

Cute little Engine Shed is our fave spot for hot beverages in the area. Friendly people, nice vintage train themed decor, killer home baked muffins. Small and boutique feel to the place.

Super friendly Staff and the best Chai latte I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a few! Keep up the good work.
