Went to the Terryfractl/Smilk gig on the 25th Feb 2023 night. Got there by 9pm. Danced away till 1am. By this time I was a few drinks down and wanted to eat something to get some energy. I'm annoyed at the fact, the venue does not serve food whilst serving alcohol AND if you want to go out of the venue to eat (because there is no food at venue) you are then not allowed back in. Feel this is ethically wrong. There were so many patrons who were being escorted out by security because they were too drunk. This perhaps may have been different if they were permitted access to food without the annoyance of not being let back in. This was a ticketed event. I paid 30.00pp to save a spot at this event. I would expect exit and entry into the event at any time I please since I purchased and reserved a ticket. it felt like the venue was taking walk-ins of the street (to drive their in-store alcohol sales) and hence they implemented the rule of not allowing ticket holders back in. If you choose to adopt this rule, My Aeon, then you should put a pop up pizza stand in the back. I wouldn't have minded buying food from a restaurant outside, the venue, or pizza guy outside. When we are drinking, my friends and I just wanted access to food!

Best nightclub for techno and psytrance in melbourne area. I am a fan of heavy/hard techno and this place is the only regular club I've been to that caters to this. They have 2 techno events monthly. Techno Time, and Techno VS Psytrance. There are 2 stages at the venue both with excellent sound. Techno VS Psy has both open whereas techno time sometimes only has the main stage open (upstairs room closed). They have a sound limiter here at 100db so the music is always loud but never over the top like many other clubs. One of the standouts of My Aeon is the lack of hookup culture. The club's in the city are full of young people looking to hook up and aren't there for the music. This is entirely different at my Aeon and everyone is just there for the music and to have a great time. If you're looking to pick up this isn't the club for you. The demographic at Aeon is also generally a little older (25+). This is an amazing club with unmatched vibes and music. Highly recommend for anyone who likes techno.

Mostly nice people, and the dj's know how to work a crowd, the music's almost always spot on. Sound system's worth a mention. The dance floor here goes OFF. Not a super well-known place either, but definitely worth a visit. Nicest security you'll ever meet to boot.

Came here for a special event and it was awesome. 2 floors of DJs, excellent sound system (you can actually talk). drinks could be stronger..

Cool club, good music, great crowd and nice staff but my god the drinks taste soooo bad. Tried a lemonade + vodka, raspberry + vodka and a tequila + oj and all of them tasted like they had gone off. Love coming here but pleaseee get nicer tasting drinks 😭

My Aeon A venue unique on its merit and daring to the unknown. Quaint and atmospheric, with a cozy couch line parallel the bar as you enter. Jamming musical acts with a downstairs and upstairs space for all those looking to dance the night away (usually 6am close). This "club" hosts a scantec mashince with security guards truely some of the best in Melbourne (friendly and really in control of the space). Entry at times can range between 10-30$ which can be pricey though usually worth the atosmphere. You'll come across all likes of people, from locals to internationals and everything in-between. With a spacey outside "smoking" area which usually turns into a moshpit of friendly faces packed with enthusiasm. The sound system can perform and give wonders to those who wish to get down to it, with electronic elements from techno to dark psy, it's a MAD LOC.

No attention to detail.. paid $40 entry to go into the club and there was no lighting setup despite having the equipment for it and was lit very brightly with logos of the club. The staff were great except security who were rude. Honestly worst club ive gone to in melbourne

Best dose of Underground electronic music, cool unpretentious crowd of all ages, (well mostly), that's there for the music and to have fun. Awesome sound system and a great vibe, Brunswick style !!

Great Space, plenty of space outside for smokers or to chill out and ample space downstairs depending on the amount of people. From the outside i couldnt even tell there was a club inside the noise suppression worked that well!

Awesome, intimate little club with great staff. Felt very welcome here. A very mixed bag as far as the crowd went, with a smattering of 50+ folk out for a boogie. Unfortunately some friends of Humanity decided throwing eggs at pedestrians was the Friday night go to and I ended up being smacked in the head with bum fruit. I went back to my aeon (which by now was closed) and the very professional staff let me back in to wash up before I headed home. Legends.

Fantastic club if you love the techno or psytrance scene. Always amazing energy because the people who go genuinely want to be there. Huge range in ages so there's always interesting people to talk to. The trippy vibe is set well with the light/screen displays on the main stage as well as the art on the walls in smokers area. The staff are helpful and friendly. I never have a bad time at my aeon!

A good time right from the get go. Shout out to the bouncer and doorman who was both professional yet friendly and respectful (unlike in other clubs), the bartenders and VDJ and DJs of that night!

Love the euphoria this awesome place exudes. Friendly people, awesome dancing, smiles and hugs being shared inside to out. I'm 40 and was turning into a bit of a recluse, My Aeon has changed my life. Thank you.

Visited 11/3/23. Disappointing since my last visit. Spent a fair amount on the ticket but when we arrived, only the downstairs section (tiny space) was open, most of the DJs listed didn’t play and the place abruptly closed at 4.30am (the DJ was made to end his set unexpectedly and he was quite upset about it). No explanation. Really poor show. Won’t be going back.

Superb 2 level nightclub in Brunswick with a great mix of quality musical genres on different nights. The staff are among Australia's absolute finest and the club design is second to none for a Melbourne nightclub experience. The Funktion One sound systems are easily Melbourne's absolute pinnacle of sound and the attention to detail at this club is impeccable.

Wow what a nice venue, they have done a great it very well. One of the best place to party in Melbourne.

Real good vibes, a bit small, but that can also be a good thing for this venue. Sometimes the crowd is amazing so it's just a very intimate social and fun club. Great sound system too!

Sound system is Funktion-One's and it sounds even better and louder now that they renovated the front entrance. Two rooms with different music and sometimes they play music in the smoking area. Upstairs has a maximum capacity enforced by security. Can get a bit hot inside when packed. Friendly staff and bartenders.

Great venue, good tunes, awesome vibe. had an awesome time. Would have been 5 stars if it werent for the unfriendly blonde girl behind the bar with the major attitude problem. Terrible customer service.

Got two vodka and oj, both times was told $10 but my card was charged $10.26 and $11.28. I didn't see anywhere that it said there was a surcharge for using card, and neither of the staff told me either. Considering buying drinks is the kind of thing we're you just tap and go and are never offered a receipt I think this is really dishonest. Downstairs area was wet with condensation as there was no aircon down there, it felt like you were breathing in other people's sweat. The bathrooms always had toilet paper which was good, no hooks to put your bags and again the floor was wet so was really awkward. Hand dryer did not work and soap dispenser ran out part way through the night. Staff we're all lovely and music was banging, but those maintenance thing I mentioned above will have to be fixed before I ever go again.

Love this renovation! If you're stuck on Sydney Rd it's the place to be.. Clean bathrooms, quirky courtyard, new dancefloor, high end lasers and Melbourne's best local talent xxxoooxxx

Rockin place, rockin sound system.

Refused entry when there was about 5 people inside. They lied to me saying it was a ticketed event, then when my friends came to let me in I asked politely why I was refused, bouncer said "Cos I said so", and then wouldn't let up with his ego until me and friends went home. Terrible service, bunch of idiots, don't go to this club... Also I had just come from work so the state I was in was very obviously sober.

My boyfriend was refused entry for no reason. We got taxi to aeon and were refused. This is ridiculous. Bouncer 200 needs to be sacked for gross neglance

Jam-packed and cool dance floor

reeally enjoyable spot for a proper rave. I dont normally listen to psytrance but I really enjoyed both the mix upstairs n down. Function 1s and a beautifully sound treated venue had me moving all night. Super chill crowd, interesting mix, some wacky characters, both young and experienced ravers. My Aeon, Ill be back. (Only side note will be as the guy mentioned below me for the same Saturday night. Drinks seem weak. I asked for a double shot gin and tonic, was charged 20, told 'we dont usually do that but for you its fine'. As a fellow bartender I could quite easily see two very small "30ml" shots being poured)

This place is beautiful

Bought a ticket for tonight Friday 8 Sep, for My Aeon & Night.time present Only With you. It's supposed to run 9pm-4am. Got here at 11pm and the door is closed. No one is answering even though I can hear soft music inside. I walked around to see if there's another entrance but there isn't. Someone knocked back on the door but didn't open it. I don't see any cancellation emails either so I've travelled 40 mins and wasted my time. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

One of the best places on the Northside to boogie the night away, to mostly, techno, psy, house, electronic tunes on a Funktion-One Phase 3 sound system... Also, there's an array of graffiti memes on the sidewall car park, if that's your jam...

Prior to its renovation upgrade it used to be a great venue to go out and dance with friends and connect with like minded music people, now its become a real dive. What a shame.

Great venue worst service ever at Bar. Bar staff more interested in talking to there fellow friends rather than serving drinks to customers waiting. Waited over 30mins to be served. Otherwise great venue.

The manager Andrew banned me for life without reason or explaining why strongly recommend avoiding this place, it's sad as the security and other staff are lovely, Shame the manager has let his ban hammer go to his head.

Doorman didn't let my mate in because he was wearing a ironic suit with sneakers. couldn't even compromise to take the tie and blazer off, literally 1984 This was a ticketed event, there was no mention of a dress code, and even if there was a dress code, this is a really stupid policy.

I had the most amazing time at this club. Honestly disappointed I didn't know about this place sooner. Didn't plan on staying until close but I didn't want to leave. Everyone was super friendly and I felt like I was welcomed everywhere I went. Definitely my go to club in Melbourne now. Highly recommended!
