Tangchu has saved our butt so many times. When we needed to have home style cooked food but we were too busy entertaining guests, Tangchu was our go to. The husband and wife team are superheroes. As busy as they get, they keep it together and serve you with a smile. Their set menus are cooked well, served piping hot and priced very fairly. If you want good Canton style food fit for gatherings or just home comfort, Tangchu has got you covered.

One of our favourite local chinese restaurant. Lovely staff. Roast duck and crispy pork are 10/10, never had any complaints and always meaty. They also have takeaway special sets and peking duck sets. We normally order the 4 people set - includes 3 choices of dishes, rice and vegetable. We love the Salt&Pepper Flounder, pork chop with mandarin sauce, salt&pepper chicken rice. The spicy eggplants with minced pork goes especially well with rice.

I like they bbq pork 🐷and roast duck 🦆🤗and Stirfry noodles😋😋😋today we try sticky rice with steam mud crab 🦀yummy 😋😋😋

Their roast meats are the best! Their honey sausage is my favourite. Service is quick too. Would definitely recommend this place.

Food is nice and not too salty and not too much msg. The lady that serves us actually provided a warm and nice service surprisingly. Recommended.

This restaurant deserved a 5 stars. From the start we called them and asked for special menu (lobster) and to be deliver as we're in the eastern suburb, they're willing to find a way. They suggested us the menus etc. Good communication and great service. We're very happy with the foods, very tasty and good portion. Thank you!

I was craving duck and this place doesn’t close between lunch and dinner. Family run with the kids studying in the restaurant. It hit the spot, cos it had been a while!

Absolutely love this place!! Everything here is good especially the roast pork and roast duck. Most of their dishes are great value for money as well! Lots of set meals to choose from for takeaway or dine in. Great value, great food and you'll always get a nice smile from the boss!

Brought parents here last (Friday) evening. Both very happy with delicious food and service. Ala carte set for 6 ppl $135.80. S&P flounder, sweet & sour fish fillet, pipa duck (add $3), pork chop with mandarin sauce. Yummy! Kudos to the chef. 5 months ago. Group of 5 enjoyed our dine in experience here last evening. Called to check if table was available (realise they only have one big table made up of 3 smaller ones later). Phone rang out but pleasantly surprised to get a call back. Was advised to go half hour later as they are very busy. We didnt mind, saved us waiting long for food. Excellent personable service from the boss man and his pretty daughter! Boys love their roast duck and char siew. And big bowls of jasmine rice! The s&p fish was really good too. Highly recommend.

A small restaurant mainly for takeaway but some tables available for eat-in for small groups of 2-4. Had the minced pork with 四季豆 on rice. Big portion of rice and veg. Enjoyed the veg very much as it’s quite tasty and not too oily. Would be back for more to try other dishes! 👍🏼

This little shop is a hidden germ. Its Chinese style roasted pork belly is very authentic. Not only it is crispy as many others do, they stand out with a complex texture in taste too. Shop is small and not much space for dine in, but the roasted pork belly is great.

They have deals in the restaurant. Roast duck, pork and soy chicken is always perfect. They even serve mustard with the roast pork which you don't often see anymore. They also do nice duck wings in superior sauce and very good fung zhao. Always greeted well and friendly. Fast service.

Went to this place with my brother and noticed a lot of hygiene issues on top of the horrendous customer service where we quite literally watched the worker yell at a customer. There had been sticky residue on the door handle and even the counter as well as rotting stains that had been in the container they used to marinate meat this place is repulsive and disgusting.

I rarely review places but it’s quite disappointing to go pick something up from the place and watch the worker dispute with a customer it honestly ruins the already mediocre atmosphere of the restaurant. Not to mention the awkward looks the dine in customers were giving the worker I honestly feel bad for these people.

Mistaken my booking was for next day. However they were quick to resolve by giving us a table. A bit tight in space but given the small sized shop and the genuine attitude, I was pleased. Service was excellent and attentive. Had to wait a little for food but they had the courtesy to communicate and even offered a small dish of barbecue pork and sausage free of charge was a good gesture. Food was very tasty and flavoursome with good portion size. Is it a restaurant you find good ambience that you can sit comfortably. No. I guess the shop was designed with a focus to do akeaways, rather than dinning in. Would I return? Absolutely. Why? Genuine and friendly service, tasty and satisfying food. That's enough dinning exprience to sway me back. Highly recommended.

Tangchu restaurant is simple, and cheerful. It doesn't look like much though beneath the basic exterior and interior lies an equally simple menu. However all the items on the menu tasty and full of flavour. The roast duck, bbq pork (char Siew), pork sausage and bbq chicken are moist and full of flavour. There is limited parking along the street in front of the restaurant. There is no outdoor seating and limited amount inside the small restaurant. They do take away orders and there is a small surcharge for credit cards.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine. Good thing is that it was not too salty.

A small group of us phone ordered 5 ordinary takeaways dishes from here today and was told it’d be ready in about 15 minutes, which is normal. It was over 40 minutes before I had my food. Sure, it was busy today, but they prioritised every dine-in customers’ orders above my takeaway even for diners who came in after me. I asked a few times when my food would be ready and was told another 5 or 6 minutes, but that was a gross understatement. It was only after the restaurant was empty except for a table of 3 did they start cooking some of my dishes. Their excuse was that all 5 of my dishes were different so it’d take longer (REALLY?!). The owner gave me some complimentary duck wings as compensation, which was a good gesture, but I would have preferred them not to prioritise dine-ins so heavily at the expense of takeaways and for them to be honest about the wait time. The food was ok, but one of the dishes was just luke warm, probably because it had cooled down by the time they cooked my final dish. Honestly I would have gone elsewhere if I had known they’d take so long. I’ll think twice about buying takeaway from here if their dine-in is busy. Difficult when phone ordering of course.

Great food, quick cheerful service. I had the roast pork on rice. Pork was crispy with just enough layer of fat. Only downside was the rice was a little hard when it didn't have the sauce on it.

Family run restaurant with friendly service. Relaxed environment and VERY nice food. Often come here on a Sunday afternoon or just a quick lunch between work.

Purchased takeaway for lunch, Pipa Duck, Roast Pork, Fried noodles, Fried rice, sweet and sour ribs, chicken ribs with salt and pepper, and egg plant. All dishes were still very nice when it got home, roast pork was fresh and crispy. Definitely recommended.

The roast pork was nice, the service was average.
