Been here on lots of occasions and it remains a go to place for the locals. Food and service consistent however wish they would change the menu ... seems like it has been the same since they opened!!

Thank you to the amazing staff and owners at Sons of Mary. They were accommodating, super amazing and their food awesome. Thank you for your wonderful customer service for the belated 50th Wedding Anniversary of our dear friends. We loved everything despite the hot weather. Look forward to coming back soon.

I was literally walking down Martin Street and looked down Spink street as lights caught my eye and I had to investigate and what a discovery (for me that is, place been here for years). I absolutely love how it's been decorated, part gentlemen's club, part ski lodge, love it! Got takeaway decaf soy latte and was tempted, but didn't succumb, to sweet treats on display. Had quick look at breakfast menu and know will definitely come here with husband to try. Lots of seating inside and out, street parking only. Also interesting, for me, that place owned by those who own Brown Cow in Hampton.

A fantastic restaurant. My first time visit and most certainly will be back. We had a great breakfast with bacon and eggs and the atmosphere was fantastic. We arrived just before lunch and got him for the rush. It may be advisable to actually book in advance if you want to guarantee a seat. Some tables are set up outside but I think this may be temporary regardless wherever you sit. The staff are fantastic and the food is of higher quality. Pocket is sufficient but I arrived before noon before it got real busy. I will be back

Excellent location, service, staff, delivery of food items to the table and coffee. Highly recommend the baked eggs for breakfast. The fresh orange juice was ok no wow factor but still not bad. Definitely will return.

Great service and delicious food and the coffee was the best. Dined outdoors in the sunshine, but love to come back and sit in their comfy chesterfield couches in front of the fire with a hot chocolate on a cold day

Great atmosphere! Great service! Would highly recommend! We sat outside today on a beautiful sunny day. It was absolutely delightful! There is a great selection of snacks as well as meals. A family favourite is always a bowl of chips. The coffees were great and the staff are very accommodating for dietary needs.

Great food, the taste was really awesome with perfect ambient and super friendly staff.

The most delicious and tender twice cooked pork belly served with a side of apple and fennel cream, roasted broccolic, cracking and port jus. The pork belly pulls apart so easily and the cream is light and pairs well. Loved the crispy calamari which was lightly fried and served on a bed of Asian slaw and drizzled with sriracha mayo.

Great place for local lunch, champagne by the glass and the flatbread great price & quality.

The decor hits you the moment you enter with a cosy fireplace and nicely displayed spare wood. The staff and friendly and the service was good even on a busy bright Saturday. The food is delicious. My issue (which is not an issue 😝) is the quantity is too much for my not so big appetite (I don't like wasting). So maybe go on a completely empty stomach. Will definitely recommend this place especially for brunch 😁

Probably one of my favourite date night spots in south east area. I would highly recommend if you have a bit extra to shell out cause food is on the pricier side, however, the service is spot on and it has a very chill and relaxed vibe. We ordered the pork and lamb and omg both were so delicious and cheap wine hits the spot! I ordered a mocktail (I don't drink)and honestly you've got to try their mocktails ~ muah! Compliments to the bar tender who made my drink <3

Great atmosphere, attentive staff and food was amazing. I had the Pork Bites, Grilled Pork Cutlet (it was a special) and Crème Brûlee (dessert was the highlight) and finished with a piccolo! A little loud but don’t let that deter you. I’ll be back.

What a gem. Lovely relaxed and friendly vibe. Food was superb. We both had smashed avo which is available after brunch. Lots of outdoor dining space. I really loved it and will be back soon.

I had dinner with my family. The food was wonderful, with good customer service and a fabulous atmosphere. The food was not only beautifully presented but delicious to eat. A very good selection across the menu for all.

I was really looking forward to brunch but it was really very pedestrian. I ordered smashed avo which is obviously not the most inspired choice but still.

Great place, great location, great food, and coffee. It is a good place to chill out and enjoy a drink or meal. They nailed the food, and the coffee was spot on!

I worked here and loved it so much. The owners are the best to work for and the chefs and sous chef and line cooks are gorgeous. Very clean with a strict routine. The food is nothing but the best. I still go back there all the way from Baccus Marsh.

Seafood Linguine was superb 🤩 can’t wait to come back and order it again! Place was dog friendly, lots of outdoor seating. Staff were super friendly too. Definitely worth your visit!

This is an awesome place. Really friendly and service outstanding. I used to go there for the eggs Benny, I was there the other day, taken off the menu… please bring it back. Had bacon and eggs instead. Eggs sunny side up, meal came and an egg was busted, as was 1/2 my meal, I had to send back, meal redone it came back out perfectly, simple but yummy. Awesome coffee, this is a good business.

Great food and vibe. Had a good catch-up with old friends we haven't seen in a while, finished our mains and wines and continued with a great conversation - there was a lot to cover. About 10-15 minutes after our drinks we got asked twice to leave by staff, in a very tactful way. Could not have done it better myself. No complaints. Staff suggested last round of drinks and then suggesting the bill. No problem, we continued with our drinks and desserts elsewhere.

Delicious food, great coffee. Staff are lovely and service was prompt. Nice sheltered outdoor dog friendly seating. Gluten free options available. Well worth a visit.

Had a very enjoyable lunch here with friends. We sat in the covered outdoor area. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt. I forgot to take photos or notes but everything we ate was excellent. A really great place for a casual lunch.

Sons of Mary is a great restaurant. Typically Melbourne. Great food, staff and atmosphere. A really great vibe. And one of the sons, Matthew, knew we were first timers so he came over and introduced himself. This will be our come to place from now on!
