For all BASCO lovers who were shocked to hear that our favourite "Mexican/Asian eatery with unique tacos and super share plates" was closed ... it was fabulous to hear that is was re-opening. Cas and I have already been back several times with our BASCO troopers and it never misses. Jamie and the team are just super and the food and drinks are still outstanding. I think we have tried everything on the menu including all the tacos and share plates. I cant list a favourite as everything is great. Find some time and take all the family to a great Brunswick ICON.

This is a cute Mexican restaurant with an Asian twist. They have funky art all around and a Ryan Gosling memorial in the girls bathroom which is just hilarious. We selected the bottomless taco menu where you can order as many tacos as you like in 2 hours. The have pork, chicken meat and vegan taco fillings to pick from. We ended up having a total of 6 tacos flavours! We tried the pork, fried chicken, lamb, duck, barramundi and cauliflower. My personal favourite was the fried chicken as it was lightly fried and tender on the inside. I also liked the duck as it was marinated in great flavours. My least favourite was the cauliflower as it was topped with too much Sriracha sauce so the chilli was a bit overpowering. Each taco was packed with filling and had a good amount of spice. Would love to come back to try the other dishes on offer. Also staff are very accommodating and attentive to helping you order more drinks or dishes.

The churros and Portuguese tarts are out of this world. The music and ambience is excellent. Staff is friendly and very accommodating too. We came in late and we're still fed and offered drinks with a smile.

Great GF and vegan options, delicious tacos and exceptional service. The wait staff were extremely attentive, especially for a busy Saturday night.

I’ve wanted to come here for a while and it was not what I expected! Basco has been in business for several years and during that time I’ve noticed it to be a popular mainstay of Sydney Road. When I booked for Thursday night the business was steady, but not as thriving as I’d expected. The decor is a little tired, the seating upholstery has a few patched holes, and the doors and walls are in need of a refresh. I like the laid back attitude of the staff and the food was quite a good amount of flavour and spice, and served quickly. However, if you’re after a hearty meal, fine dining or a romantic dinner this is not your place. There was a lot of onion and beans in the nachos and tacos so be aware if you have fodmap issues. As we were leaving I noticed heaps of dirty plates on the back counter. Not a great look, but kitchen staff must be hard to come by atm. Overall not a bad place for a quick bite if you love tacos and need a takeaway fix!

Great Mexican on Sydney Rd. If you are looking for some Mexican with some Korean influence then give this place a try. The food is reasonably priced for what you get. The venue was clean and staff were super friendly and helpful. All the food that we tried was great, especially the satay taco. Would also recommend the nachos as well, the portion wasn't massive, however it was high quality and tasted great. Overall I would recommend, we will likely visit again!

Such a hidden gem here in Brunswick. Their feed me banquet is $43 per person and is such good value - I always leave so full. Their naked nachos are so delicious with the creamy guac and tangy salsa. I also love the Shanghai Ribs - the sauce is delicious. Their tacos never disappoint either - my favorites are the satay sally and Mary eats lamb. Friendly personable service every time I visit. Honestly one of my favorite Brunswick restaurants. I rate their cocktails too!

I dined at basco last night for dinner, the menu was simple and straightforward, plus waitress serving our table was super lovely and helpful. The food did take a long time to get to us and came out at different times, however the man working (I assume the manager or owner) came out and apologised for the wait and offered us complimentary drinks, he also thanked us as we were leaving for our patience. The customer service I received was fantastic hence my 5 star review, the music and atmosphere was great and I would love to return for the bottomless! Ps the duck tacos were ace!

We went here yesterday to celebrate my 25th birthday. The bottomless brunch was just wonderful! Food was tasty and fresh and perfectly portioned for our group. Drinks were lovely and despite the no double-parking rule, the staff make sure you are never without a drink in your hand (seriously don't know how they do it, because the place was PACKED). The service in general was incredible. Everyone made us feel very special. Atmosphere was lovely. I was so sad to hear they're closing, but I'll definitely be back again wherever they decide to re-open! Great spot.

Amazing place & can’t believe this was my first time here as I live around the corner. Tacos are delicious and the nachos are one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne. Michelle was fantastic & very attentive. Will definitely be seeing me again to try the ribs & cocktails!

Ask for an extra spicy margarita and they will deliver. Both delicious and spicy. The staff honestly feel like your best friends. I would hug them all if it was appropriate. Thank you. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived at the place right on time - they opened at 2pm on the dot - we were given chips and salsa immediately. They do not allow double parking, but as we finish our drink, someone will immediately attend to our table and ask what's our next drink. Steph (I hope it's her name - I asked it more than halfway the bottomless booze) gave an excellent service at our table. On top of good service and good quality drinks, the 4-course feed is amazing! I would definitely come back here to have a meal or comeback for another bottomless brunch! ✨

We had the bottomless bunch and they were great. As soon as we finished our last sip they came over to offer us another drink. Highly recommend ❤️
