Lovely atmosphere and food is delicious and spicy 🌶. If you are not able to eat spicy, I would not recommend you come here. Only giving it a 4 star as food was slow to come out. And they did not come out all at once, which was what we were expecting. Serving size was not too big, but saying that we were not able to finished everything we ordered. Highly recommended that you book in advance as the place fill up very quickly.

Great food, good price, wonderful deco (including the bathroom), good service. I tried the Thai Milk Tea and it was delicious. I had a great time with my friends in the restaurant. The serving is moderate, which means if you have teenagers with good appetite, they may still be hungry afterwards. Parking can be hard to find in the area. Take public transport if you can.

The food was good but it came out super slow. We got there at 8:30pm (with a booking), placed our order within 10 minutes. We ordered spring rolls, fried rice and a pork dish. The spring rolls arrived within 15 mins, the fried rice arrived after 40 minutes, and the pork dish came out an hour later. The service and staff were great, but the food shouldn’t come out that far apart. This happened to the table next to us too. They wanted to eat their curry with the fried rice they ordered, but were told the rice would come out in 15 minutes, so they ordered plain rice to go with the curry instead. Apart from that, I thought the food was actually really tasty! The fried rice portion is quite small, probably a single serve (not enough to share between two).

Everything was delicious! I particularly loved the crispy pork and the curry beef. The interior of this restaurant was also really pretty on top of the amazing food selection.

The food was really good, and you do get that authentic Thai feel when you dine at Jinda. The service was very good and the food came out on perfect timing. Would definitely recommend. Prices are also good, our bill came to $280 for 6 people.

Outstanding all-around. Service was warm and prompt, and our food came quickly. My pad se ew was outstanding, glossy black, packed with flavour. The lamb massaman curry was also delightfully rich. Dont know why the gaudy TV is there; but still, can not fault Jinda Thai and we are glad it's our local.

Good place to eat. Highly recommend their seafood Tom yum soup, and crispy pork Pad Gra Pow. We also tried their soft shell crab in curry sauce which was ok, and their fish in tamarind sauce which we found over fried and way too sweet for our liking. Wipasiri cocktail was nice. Service was great and very fast. Cuisine seems to be from a Thai region where food is generally more sweet than savoury, but looking forward to returning to try some other amazing looking dishes from their large menu to see if that holds. Love how spacious and beautiful the interior decor is, gives you that happy casual social vibes. 1.5% surcharge on card. Parking can be quite hard nearby so be prepared to walk, if you're lucky you should be able to get some of the 2 hour free spots.

Jinda Thai was on my wish list for quite some time and I am glad we finally made it. This is undoubtedly the best Thai food we have had in Melbourne. The menu has ample variety and we could only sample a few of them. But I am already looking forward to going again and trying other things. Highly recommend the oysters, papaya salad, and the tamarind fish. The dessert was alright, we had the taro flavoured sauce. The service was exceptional.

Honestly, one of my favourite Thai in Melbourne and I have tried a lot! Every dish packs so much flavour and the perfect amount of spice too. We ordered a wide array of dishes all to share, and they came out in perfect order at a perfect pace. Most of all, I would recommend the Chilli fried rice, and Pork and Chicken skewers. Have not tried any desserts here yet, as I have always been too full, however the Crepe cakes look spectacular every time. I will be back very soon for one of those.

Its a very good place if you love Thai food. All the food items were prepared and served in an amazing manner. This is the biggest Thai menu I've seen in Melbourne. The food is amazing, the restaurant is a little bit off the main street, which gives this place exclusivity. The food is amazing. The staff was really helpful. A little bit slow service but it's acceptable, as the restaurant was crowded in a Saturday afternoon. You could see the food being cooked live. All in all a nice experience.

Food is beautifully presented and there are lots to choose from on the menu. The dishes we ordered are good. Service is prompt. Prices are average. Portions are really really small so if you're a person with average appetite - order an entree, a main and a dessert !

Quite authentic Thai food. The pork skewers (moo ping) was a bit too thick for my liking, but they do have to give u value for money. The fluffy fish (yum Pla Duk Foo) was nice, but would have been nicer with mango instead of apple, it doesn't give the sourness required for this dish. And my favorite was the duck curry, can't really comment on this one's authenticity as never had this type in Thailand. And the best dessert here are the layer crape cakes, would consider it as one of the best in Melbourne (IMO). But still can't find a layer crape cake like the one you get from "Coffee bean by Dao" in Thailand

Have been here 3 times now and the food quality is consistently great. My standout dish is the fish cakes: very nice texture, full of flavour and a hint of lime leaves. Fried rice is rich with a good char, all the seafood (fish, prawns, mussels) were cooked nicely. Salad was tasty but be wary much spicier than the other dishes. Red duck curry was not heavy and not too sweet, and again the duck was juicy and soft. A little bit tricky at times to get the staff's attention since the restaurant is packed but they're very nice and helpful. Atmosphere is also great - high ceilings, nice decor, great for either a group dinner or 1-1s.

Absolutely amazing!! Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne. Everything taste delicious but only the pandan crepe cake that wasn’t our cup of tea, the filling texture doesn’t feels like cream. Ice cream was super smooth tho.

Not as good as before. The dish we ordered was too salty especially the soft shell crab. The green curry got kind of bad smells too, hmm no next time.

This place is a good in every way. Apart from the efficient service and lovely atmosphere, the food is so good. I've visited many times and it's constantly good. Started with with fish cakes and papaya salad. The fish was lovely and bouncy, the salad was perfectly balanced. Ordered the Tom Kha soup with prawns, lovely coconut base. Had the they fried rice with seafood, so smokey with the freshest seafood and also had the cashew stir fry which was salty and sweet with crispy pieces of meat. My partner is gluten intolerant and everything we ordered was gluten free and there were so many more gf options! This place is popular and I suggest getting there early or booking.

Came here on a Tuesday after 1.30pm. Was quickly seated. The service was quite attentive, there were about 7 or so other tables there. Everyone seemed to be attended to just fine with the exception of this one lady who came at close to 3. The waitresses were already so busy winding the place down for the recess of the day, no one looked after that lady for quite a while. The ambience was really good. I prefer everything to be spicier but the serving portion and quality were really good and fresh. Price wise, a bit expensive compared to the nearby joints. A really nice one to have off peak to celebrate a certain occasion. Will definitely return, but perhaps only outside lunch or dinner hours for a full pleasant experience.

Jinda Thai is a hidden gem, pulling in crowds for a reason. The vibe might be low-key, but the flavours are off the charts. With an authentic touch and an allegedly title of the best Thai in Melbourne, it's a must-visit for sure!

Probably THE best Thai place in town. Extremely authentic and has a great Thai taste. No matter what you get here, you won’t be disappointed. Only con is, is that it gets booked out easily. Very deliciouuuuus!!

This is one of the best Thai Restaurant in Melbourne so far. Their dishes are authentic and everything I ate was so good. I visited this restaurant almost 5 times in two months :) This restaurant is crowded during dinner time. Reservation is required.

Came here for a friend’s bday. We ordered a lot and everything was so good overall, nothing was a hit or miss. Best green curry I’ve ever had. Tom yum was ok. Soft shell crab was so damn crispy and so damn good. Fried fish was ok, not really a big fan soz (some of my friends love it sm). Chicken pad gra pow was good. Pad thai was aight. Really love the ambience of this place which I cant really explain it into words, you’ll just know once you’re here. Price was ok (more to the expensive side compared to other thai restaurants). Would definitely go here again with a big group or with my family! Oh I just remembered I also got the crepe cake for our dessert. We got the flavor thai milk tea, matcha, and taro. It comes with ice cream. Wouldn’t get the dessert again tbh.

All are great and very flavorful as if eating in Thailand! Beef and pork seasoned very well also tender and seafood are fresh and generous 😍 No wonder black pink decided to eat here as well 👍🏻

Delicious Tom yum soup. But unfortunately the bowl was quite a small serving for $25:00 I was delighted it had no noodles and good quality seafood. We dropped in at 5:30pm without a reservation and we’re able to get a table as long as we were gone by 6:30pm. It was just enough time to enjoy a soup. The place was very busy. It was the time to be there if you had little kids. There were a few family dinner celebrations happening with kids in tow.

Jinda is pretty authentic and they definitely have the best Thai food in Richmond/Collingwood/Abbotsford area. I've had plenty of dishes here, but time and time again, I go back to the street food dishes. The boat noodles are one of my favourites. Pad Thai is always nice. Great value at lunch time too. Last time I went, I had the guay dtiew ruea, the classic boat noodles with beef. It's one of the better ones in the whole of Melbourne and the broth is made with blood so it's authentic. Service is great, the staff are nice. It's somewhere I always enjoy visiting. I think I've been going here for 4 years now. Time flies.

I've been meaning to visit this place for such a long time and so I was excited when I finally got to try this place out! It was quite spacious but it got really busy right away. We grabbed - Gai Hor Bai Toey - Soft Shell Crab Som Tum - Hor Mok - Deep fried Barramundi with Tamarind Sauce - Soft Shell Crab Salad - Green Curry - Lard From entrees to main, everything tasted amazing. Personally loved Deep fried fish with Tamarind Sauce, Soft Shell Crab Salad, and Lard. I am not too familiar with Thai cuisine but they were all flavourful and extremely delicious. I've never tried Larb before but glad I did. Loved the spices and zingy kicks. - #melbfoodiemark #jindathai

Loved all the dishes we ordered. Recommend to make a reservation in advance as it's very popular and generally walking might be disappointed. Service was good and friendly. It's a naked brick old warehouse kind of ambience and comfortable.

We came for weekend lunch. Luckily we came right when they just opened as the place got quite busy not long after. They have good lunch selections and the price is good too. When the food arrived, we were impressed at how good they look. They were delicious too. Will return to try different items.

one of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne. Their foods are just so flavourful. Must eat Tamarind fish, curry soft shell crab and padthai! Have been coming back here many times now, still as good as my first visit.

Jinda, serving up authentic Thai cuisine, has been in downtown Abbotsford since 2013 and is still going strong. I think we perhaps could have made better choices from their extensive menu. The pork dish didn’t really have any defined flavour and the Thai style marinated beef, grilled to medium-rare, as per the menu was over-cooked! The dipping sauces were good and the prawn twisters were delicious.

We had an early dinner on Saturday night in this beautiful place with a great variety of items on the menu to pick from. All dishes were super delicious and flavourful, a bit spicy if not used to but perfectly right for us. Staff were very friendly and attentive, service was quick with right amount of time between starter and main. Authentic Thai food and hospitality, will definitely be back.

Jinda was recommended by a family member. I was so glad I got a booking to surprise my partner on very short notice. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile, and the warmth from the staff is a good indicator that your dining experience is going to be good. The food is clean, fresh, and delicious. The service was amazing. And all at a reasonable price.

Never disappointed with noodles here. Food is great, tasty and authentic Thai food. Service is okay, not spectacular but not bad. Nice decorating. Been here a few times and will be coming back again.

Celebrated my daughter's birthday at Jinda with the family. The verdict is that it is one of the best Thai food restaurants in the area. We love the food.

Place is great. There were couple of things I have noted, and I will share them with you. The satay chicken skewers were excellent. However, I did not understand the notion behind the small salad in a tiny ceramic container. If it is an appetiser, it cannot be shared. Tom Yum soup was too salty. I drank two litres of water after having the soup. Service was ok.
