Rondvaart de Dordtevaar

Tourist attraction

😐 Interesting sight near the centre of Doordrecht. I wouldn't say that it is something special but it is still an ok sight to visit and see for 2 minutes. People often mention boat,

The whisper experience go to the old city called dort. With the DorteRondvaart. See the old paintings and here the story of the brothers de wit. A fascinating experience you must do when you're Dordrecht

Open boat that houses about 30 people. Experienced and knowlegable 79 (!) years old captain. The sound system plays a nice story about Dordtecht in the Dutch language only during a one hour 7.50 Euros costing water ride. There is are papers on board that tells the same story in other languages. Nice views of the city from the water. Dordrecht lies on the intersection of three very busy water ways. Part of this busy waters is cruised.

Recommended as it was fun and informative. But beware of the following: The departure site is unmarked, limited capacity boat, cash only, Dutch only audio guidance. We used Google Maps to guide us to the 'Wijnbrug', where the boat would depart but did not find any visible markings stating that boat tours would moor there to take on passengers. So, we thought we had the wrong place and headed over to Tourist Information. They confirmed that Google was right after all and that a boat does depart on the hour. We arrived just minutes before the hour and indeed many people were waiting. We just made it on the boat, which only takes on 40 passengers. You have to pay cash (no credit cards or iDeal) and it is wise to have exact change available. Only about half way through the tour did they start the audio guidance, which was informative, but only if you speak Dutch.

Nice boat tour, slow and mesmerising. The information is provided in Dutch only, but still, the route is very nice.

Really great way to discover the city of Dordrecht. An hour-long boat ride takes you past beautiful old architecture, various marinas and briefly put onto the river so you can see the city from the water. Definitely worth the very low fee.

Pity! You can't try it just at the day you came. Instead, you have to use website, book in advance, see available dates, etc. In Amsterdam is much better. Could not try this trip on Wednesday, despite, was excited ☺️
