This was a quaint guest house with an old world charm. Paul, the proprietor (not sure if he was the owner or just ran the place) was very eager to please and very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and sufficient, but the place overall could use a little work and some upgrades. But Paul and the other staff we met were so friendly and helpful, it more than made up for the minor shortcomings.

Room was damp with smell of sewerage won't be staying there again last time got a nice room very dissatisfied with the room and smell

i have just had an appalling experience with Zion Hall guesthouse in Dublin. in august i emailed and requested a room for this tuesday and was told there was availability. i was also advised the price which i accepted. tonight i rang to check on arrival and payment details and was told all the rooms had been taken. No name was provided by the person who communicated with me, no apology, no remorse. this is a shameful approach and future guests should be aware

They have stolen me 50 euros from my account after have been paid by me by using my card. I paid them the totally amount concerning my standing at their hotel but they charged 50 more euros for a duplicate room that I didn't use. Furthermore, the rooms are not very clean, and the location is to far from downtown. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Great place to stay. Nice big rooms. Nothing fancy but comfortable. A 20 mins ride by bus from city center and an hour bus ride from the Dublin airport

If you need to rest and regain strength this is good site. Tranquility and good service.

We spend only one night here 5 years ago as we couldn't book any other place. Our visit has become a meme level story to tell, sadly not in a positive way. There's too many details to include into a short review like this (water dripping from ceiling, room in the basement, no refunds, decoration from 80's fleemarket, pay in advance etc.), so I'll just say that I've slept better in the middle of nowhere in Mongolia desert with nomads than in Zion guest house. Avoid as I don't except that anything has improved since our visit.
