Took my wife and brother for dinner in PHX Bistro. Service: For a well served dinner you'll pay around 40 Euros. The service was great. Formal enough yet not hung up on unnecessary quirks. The waiters were friendly and polite. The only negative detail of the whole experience was the wait between dishes, but nothing excessive. I remember randomly that food was taking too long once, around 5 minutes later I was already eating. Food: This restaurant, even with the small detail of waiting time, is absolutely worth it because the incredible quality of the food. I had chicken wings, that I wouldn't recommend much. However, my wife had the carpaccio with truffles that is well presented, portioned and flavorful. It's fresh and beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. Definitely recommended. After that, I thought it couldn't get any better. I was wrong, they have a Mushroom Risotto with pesto and baby carrots that is a celebration of good food. All of that under 40 bucks overlooking the river mounts up to 5 stars easy. Place not to be missed!

A surprise find. Very tasty food with (too) large portions, friendly service. Price level clearly lower than in centre area, although very near. Highly recommended. Wild Mushroom risotto exceptionally tasty.

We were recommended to visit this place by a localin case we wanted to get a tasty steak. He was right. We did not have a reservation so we had to hurry a bit, but still the stuff was kind and sweet. The food and beer was delicious. Recommended!!!

The food was nice, but I found my burger was way too thick and didn't have the right toppings-to-beef ratio. It made it a bit plain tasting despite being nicely grilled. My fish cake starter was really good. The staff were friendly but seemed a little stressed. The vibe was very nice, laid back, and comfortable.

We had dinner here on a Saturday evening and we enjoyed it a lot! It was our second visit to this restaurant and as the one before, the staff was very welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu and helping me with my dietary needs (I have to eat gluten-free). GF options or substitutions are marked on the menu. As a starter, I had garlic ciabatta loaf (with a substitution to make it GF) and it was excellent, really tasty. As a main, I had the vegan steak and again, I was not disappointed. Very nice combination of flavours. The atmosphere is very cosy and relaxed. Make sure to book in advance as the restaurant fills up quickly. I would go back again and I recommend it!

Now, this is a little gem 💎 Even though the kitchen closed in 20 minutes, we were welcomed in to sit and didn't feel rushed. The food was excellent 👌 😋. I had the sirloin steak with to die for mash potato with a blue cheese sauce followed by creme brulee. My colleague had the steak frites and the browne. I would have paid double for the quality of the food, a must try. Please, like, if you've found this useful.

10/10 experience, the staff was very welcoming and quick to serve us, the food was AMAZING and the portion size is more than enough, the music choice was just what we needed. Will definitely go again.

Absolutely excellent from start to finish. Exemplary service, lovely venue and fantastic staff who went above and beyond for us. The food was incredible. I highly recommend the hake which was cooked to perfection. A brilliant find! Thank you.

Had a nice experience here! The gambas pil pil was pretty good. I had the steak frites which was nice but far too much fries on the plate I couldn't finish 😅 Had the creme brulee but it was a little too eggy and soft for me. The over atmosphere of the place was pretty good and our servers were all nice and attentive! Would go back again

Lovely atmospheric restaurant, right on the Quays. It's menu is the best I've seen for dietary requirements. There are dairy free and gluten free options but also dairy/gluten "adjust" on lots of the dishes, which is super helpful and something that would be great to see more of. Had a really delicious carrot and ginger soup with Guinness bread for starters. The mains were tasty with generous portions and very nice sides. Really recommended for a post lighthouse cinema dinner!

What a lively spot with tasty food and great service! Had both gluten feee vegan dishes plus the flat iron steak and hake fish at our table and we ate every last drop. Desert was the most delicious gluten free brownie I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a meal here. Music, outdoor seating, Covid clean protocol great food and the sweetest staff. We’ll be back!

Just back from a wonderful dinner at PHX Bistro. Paula and all the team are so welcoming, customer focused and possess a very skilled table service. The food was delicious, tasted very fresh, beautifully presented and a delight to eat. Menus are so reasonably priced & portions are very generous. Everything was perfect, atmosphere very relaxed, lovely music in the background. Wine list exceptional. I couldn't recommend this place enough, a true gem for lunch or dinner. Thanks guys!

The environment is beautiful and intimate, the waitress were friendly from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, giving us amazing recommendations, the food? Ooooh the food! So flavorful and well balanced. I absolutely loved and recommend this place!

Don’t forget to book a table unless you don’t mind eating at the bar (like me). Incredible place to eat, friendly environment and even better service. The food was incredible from the garlic soup to the pork main dish. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.

I went to PHX Bistro for dinner last night. I arrived a little before 6 PM on a Saturday night and there were plenty of available seats. Since I was dining alone, the staff was nice enough to tuck me in a corner where I had a nice view. I decided to go with their two course "pre fixe" option for a main course and dessert. I ordered steak frites for my main, which was SO GOOD. The steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were seasoned nicely and not greasy at all. For dessert, I ordered the gluten free chocolate peanut butter brownie. It was...okay. (Please note that I am an avid home baker and I am VERY picky about both dessert and chocolate). The chocolate sauce was very good, but the brownie was kinda meh in flavor and texture to me. For some reason the vanilla ice cream even had a weird flavor. (It's possible it was the jet lag...) I'm still giving PHX a full 5 stars because the main was good and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I would (and may) go back here again when I return to Dublin.

What a wonderful dinner! The wine was tasty and we'll priced and the food was delightful! Also the burger was fantastic! The fries that came with it delicious (for those of you from the U S west coast think elevated in n out fries. Similar crunchy put fluffy texture with more flavour!) If I am back in Dublin will visit again!

Foodie heaven Oh what a night of taste bud delights. Beautiful quaint place. The staff are friendly and cant do enough for you. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing. There is a great selection of food on the menu. What i ordered was most definitely enjoyed immensely especially the creme brulee it was the best i have had thus far in any establishment. I would like to compliment the chef on producing some fantastic food and the staff for making our dining experience pleasurable. I would highly recommend PHX Bistro.

Really tasty food,good quality I hade the beef carpaccio as a starter,really delicious and I had the 8oz sirloin steak as a main,it was tasty and tender. Got brownie sundae for dessert,sooo good and really big portion I'll go back for sure

Almost docked one star because the steak was too salty, but everything else was so good, that would have been harsh. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Beef carpaccio and duck liver parfait starters were excellent. The duck main was divine, and my steak was perfectly cooked (I managed to scrape the salt from the surface and enjoy the steak immensely), and we had a delicious Tempranillo which complemented both dishes wonderfully. Atmosphere was relaxed with familiar pop classics played at a subdued volume. Highly recommended.

Booked for 9.15pm for dinner for 2 of us, restaurant called us to confirm on the day & we was greeted & seated as soon as we arrived with a friendly hello! Waitress' were lovely, smiley & felt very welcoming. Food was served in a timely manner. The food was absolutely fantastic - pork belly highly recommend! Dessert - carrot cake was perfect!! The crumble was spot on! Not a single complaint & happily give 5 stars to this place, highly recommend! Many thanks!
