Greeted by a member of staff at the door while the place was mostly empty who advised me and a friend that he "would have to see if there's any availability". He was gone for a few minutes and in the mean time another waitress came along and sat us along with another group behind us. The first member of staff came back down with a manager and pointed us out to him. The manager came over and told us that we couldn't stay if we didn't have a booking. When we queried with him why it was only us that had to leave and pointed out to him that he was clearly lying he just kept doubling down on his lie which made the experience worse. We left immediately and moved on to a seating area of a pub which is also in the main square of temple bar and watched other people just turn up and walk in without reservations. A couple exited the restaurant and stopped while passing to tell us they did not have a reservation and were disgusted with the way he treated us. We will never return and the couple said the same. Maybe not a big hit to their business but if this keeps continuing it will eventually have an effect. Wouldnt recommend to anyone!

To be avoided! As a tourist and 3rd year business student I was more than disappointed not with the service but with the behaviour of the waiters and the bar itself...! To begin with we had booked for 20 people (separate table for sanitary restrictions) for a very special event. When we arrived, to our great surprise, there were 5 seats missing... So there were people standing, the staff not even trying to find a solution put pressure on those who were standing! We had to fight with the staff ourselves. We ordered, so far so good, the orders arrive quickly, everything is going well, when suddenly, after a few orders! the waiter just told us to pay right away or else "they wouldn't serve us anything"...! But excuse me? we are not thieves, we were quietly having a good evening... So I don't know if it's because we were young foreigners but anyway. I won't comment on this allegation. We decided to pay despite this unusual behaviour and there came a new problem. We wanted to pay separately which is not a crime! It's also part of the waiter's job to collect orders whether they are separate or not! but to our great amazement "they don't want to" and once again put pressure on us... Shock us says give in to refuse and demand to pay separately which is legitimate! So he goes back to the cashier empty-handed and comes back this time telling us that we could separately so of 113 euros (it was only the first turn so I think we were the best customers of the evening in case they still had doubts about our solvency) divide in 3! But we had asked him to pay each one for himself! so he didn't listen to us at all! a shame. Finally one of our friends decided to pay in one go. So forgive us for these remarks but in 20 years of bar-hopping I've never seen that in my life! So yes, it's annoying to divide one by one, I can understand that (I worked in a bar all summer) but that's what work is all about! it's not a holiday, there's a motto that says "the customer is king". I personally and on behalf of 20 people do not recommend this bar! No hard feelings though

We have eaten the wings and the goat cheese salad. It was perfect for a pub to have these options and with good quality. The staff are very friendly and the live music is just amazing

Good Batman but the very short dark haired waitress that covers tables will hover over you pointedly looking at her watch unless you keep ordering drinks. Not a place to relax. Choose any other pub in temple bar. There are loads. Except the others are quite busy..... oh.

Quite good music and average prices - comparable to other European capitals. But ... Nowadays it must seem as a confronting act to have people of color employed, only for handing soap and towels at the gents toilet. I don’t tell this 'racism', but let’s be honest: This is the 21st century; not the 18th ...

The Music was phenomenal. The reason for the 3 star rating is because we were paying for each round, every time & we had the receipts to prove it. Then suddenly we were told we owed an extra $30 & four different people told us for different reasons. It was weird and the wait staff seemed stressed. I don't know what on earth happened, but up until then it was fun.

It was a really nice place with live music and good vibes. We had out dinner in their restaurant upstairs, good food. The soup was delicious and the meat very tender!!

Food was good and so was the music, young waitress with black hair was just bad, not attentive at all and seemed like she really didn’t want to be there...... go somewhere else if you want decent service

The brunette waitress wearing a pony tail is probably the rudest person I’ve ever met in my life. She made our whole table feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Surprisingly good! Pizza was great. The server said he could not finish one himself, I doubted him. When we got it, it fed both of us! And good ! Also seafood Chowder had some heat to it, and was great !

Very good live music! The crew is polite and the atmosphere is just right to have a drink with friends but also dance a little. We had a great time!

For drinks and live music in the Temple bar district, this place was off the chain! The whole crowd singing along to a blue grass/trad style duo called the hangovers was an epic experience.

Way overpriced and not worth it!! I had a goat’s cheese salad (so sorry now not to have taken a picture). A small round of cheese, a few mixed salad leaves, a cut up beetroot, and walnuts - priced at 18.95!! A Diet Coke 4.10 and a glass of draft beer 4.60. Note: This was a Saturday afternoon, so not even night rates. My grandson had a child’s pizza, cost 10.00, no cordial or any other offer such as a scoop of ice-cream with the kids menu. The place was empty. The only reason I stayed was because they had pizza on the menu and that’s what my grandson wanted. Not being a Dublin native I didn’t know where else to find a good pizza restaurant and we were hungry. Definitely won’t be going back again.

The live music was too good. I went during the pride parade day and there was no seating arrangements, not sure if that's the case for all the days. But I absolutely loved the ambience. Good service. Didn't try any food 😷

Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon for a pint and stayed until closing. Great selection of adult beverages and the evening 2 man music group was amazing. A friendly group singing and dancing the night away. Get there early enought to get a stool and barrel.

I wasn't inside, i didn't drink anything. I just stood outside with hundred others and enjoyed the great guitarist oozing banger after banger from those strings. Such an incredible atmosphere and vibe which i haven't felt anywhere else. And I wasn't even inside....

Crown Alley in the Temple Bar District of Dublin. Used to be more famed for its pizzas and the overhead wire system of sending food orders to the kitchen. Beer sells more throughout the day so, although food is still served, the range of food choices has been more streamlined. It was quiet when I visited. I was given a choice of where I could sit and I was promptly served. Prices are similar to all other Temple Bar pubs and I enjoyed my Guinness. With live music and a busier pub there could be a great atmosphere. We'll worth a visit.

Unfriendly staff, complete ignorance and unfriendly security. Nobody will talk to you, you will just got thrown out without any answer why. We were thinking because we did not ordered a second round on a short time..

Tried to find a reasonably priced bar whilst in Dublin (tanple bar) and decided to eat here. We ordered the sharing platter which had wings, ribs, fish and wedges for about €16 (very cheap for 2 people). It was satisfactory, probably not quite enough for two people though.

We went there as a pit stop because we were tired of walking. We got a table at the bar where we were greeted by a very nice bartender who recommended two local beers. While sipping our beer, there was live music that was very pleasant. One duo sang extremely well!

This place has a fun atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. It's very clean and has a lot of good options for food and drinks. I just got the large nachos as a sharing snack and they were very filling. My dad got a burger that he told me was delicious.

In here at the weekend with all the family and as always very impressed, the kids menu is fantastic and plenty of choice ,always clean and very well turned out friendly staff to look after you.The base on their pizza is probably the finest in Dublin and a very central place to meet up for lunch. As always will be back.

Had a couple of pints here on my way elsewhere. Decent place, it is in a tourist-y area, but didn't really give off a tourist-y vibe. Prices were reasonable, had live music. Didn't eat there, so can't speak to the food, but it looked good.

I would be cautious when dealing with this company. Alot of drugs go in and out of this building. Mostly on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. The owners of this pub most certainly do not keep their managers in check. Further the 90db limit is not adhered to, which is illegal. I also have seen underage drinking taking place in this place. The city council should inspect their kitchens and make sure that their kitchen is adhering to HSE standards. The management of this business has lost my respect.

I rate this the best bar in dublin. Live music was fantastic and 7 euros a pint of Guinness. Atmosphere was amazing . We never had the food so cant comment.

Finished a great night out here for my daughters hen night. Brilliant live music and a fantastic friendly atmosphere. Drinks were expensive. I bought a double bacardi and coke which was €19! Didn't realise that 1 Irish measure is bigger than the UK so didn't really need a double 😆
