I was in town and brought family that were on holiday into the pub. We were ordering a second round. Some weren't ready at the time so tried to order 10 minutes later at 22.30. They were told they had stopped serving because the pub was quiet. The bar man could have told us this when we ordered the second round. We went to Meaghers a few doors up. Lovely pub, nice staff and clean toilets. The toilets in the James Connolly were dirty. Definitely will not go back again and explains why it was empty.

Nice quaint pub. Good grub. Funny looking urinals, which are probably great for drunken sailors and others.

We could not be treated worse. We asked many times to close the door. The waitress, of course no problem. It was freezing! We closed it and then one other waiter and opened it, very unfriendly. Sorry, but in winter, we should be able to close to the door so your clients don't freeze and can enjoy a beer. And answer polite!

İt's in good location, where the heart of the city beats. They opened the side as a restaurant, but there is no food service to the bar. We ordered burgers and fries, they said they couldn't serve the bar, but they said we'd go next door and have dinner.

A quick visit for the beef and Guinness stew at Daly's Of Eden Quay whilst visiting Dublin and the stew and mashed potatoes was lovely! Would definitely order again. Not a huge amount of stew, but with the mash it's just enough for a light lunch. The Guinness, as ever in Dublin was perfect

The bar staff didn't know the prices for the alcohol free options and charged 7€ for a ginger beer bottle. Absolutely ridiculous. At 23h I was denied a cocktail because "it's too late". My friend ordered an IPA and the barmaid had no idea what it was and had to be guided. The only saving grace is the live music and spacious seating.

A place with the most unusual decor in Dublin. A good place to be a meeting point with your friends, especially students at lunch time, affordable price and very tasty food.

This place is becoming a favourite place to hang out and chill. The crowd usually is nice and friendly. The staffs are also very good and helpful. Decors are pretty cool, each corner offers an eye candy or something interesting. Worth going in for a few pints.

(Translated by Google) The food was excellent. We ordered typical Irish dishes (1x Irish Stew & 1 x Cottage Pie), which can only be recommended. Very good taste. The price is right too - for two we paid € 30 and were very, very full. One drawback was that the staff took a long time to take our order. Otherwise really great. (Original) Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir bestellten typisch irische Gerichte (1x Irish Stew & 1 x Cottage Pie), welche nur zu empfehlen sind. Geschmacklich also sehr gut. Auch der Preis stimmt - zu zweit haben wir 30,- € bezahlt und waren sehr sehr satt. Ein Manko war nur, dass das Personal lange brauchte um unsere Bestellung erst mal aufzunehmen. Sonst aber wirklich top.

Service and beer were both good. But, the Irish stew was awful. It needed to cook for another few hours. Meat was stringy and touch and the vegetables were still crunchy raw.

We were fortunate enough to visit this place on Halloween, but I'm told that it's their thing year round. How dope is that! Even without the theme, Lanigan's has too much personality for just one pub. They got karaoke, fun vibe, great bartenders, and they're right on the river Liffey. Nothing to not love.

  • 5/5 Vinícius S. 1 year ago on Google
Old review before new management took over. At the time it was named Lanigan's. Didn't return after that. "Very good staff and good music!!"

  • 1/5 Chiara D. 1 year ago on Google
Nice atmosphere and music but unfortunately we got overcharged for our ginger beers (as in soft drinks, not alcoholic beverages). The bartender insisted that the 200ml ginger beer was alcoholic, hence the 7.20€ price tag. We paid it, brought it to our table, checked the label and noticed it was indeed a soft drink... Went back and the same bartender claimed that the price for the non-alcoholic and the alcoholic one was the same. Rip-off

Once was so big rush, that madam boss gave us the our stuff and told we have to leave with out the reason even we,were waiting for the table to be free. Not so nice guestsure but OK,Dublin is full of great pubs with ,like originally Ireland's tradition. Nice place, but not polite boss of personal

I was alone , putting in time waiting for the bus & I was surprised with the friendliness of the staff. A beautiful young woman chatted to me & made me feel welcome & comfortable. Another staff member charged up my ear buds for me. These kindnesses really make a difference in the life of older women in particular. #Dublin #dublinpubs

Been here twice on day 2! The Halloween decor is an acquired taste but personally I couldn't care less. Friendly staff- had a great stew. Great pint at just €5.20 which is steal in this part of town. Right on the Liffey . Highly recommended . Lanigans will see me again when I am next back

👍👍 Fantastic indoor entertainment venue in Dublin that holds up to 13,000 people. It's really well marshalled and queueing is kept to a minimum for drinks, food, merchandise and toilets. If you find the ground floor queues start to grow, just go upstairs for smaller queues. There's great sound and visi...
