👍👍 Hidden gem. The new menu is great (try the onion soup!), and the service and staff are too. Salmon with mustard sauce also great. But of course, the best reason to go here is the wine selection. People often mention wine, good, great, staff, service, menu, French, selection, wines,

I expected something nice, but I am very disappointed with food and ambience, very small room and crowded, and also very slow service. I thought that it was a French restaurant, but not at all. I’m sorry, but I don’t recommend it.

Oh lala. Christopher is one of the best French restaurants owners I met out of France. Extra warm welcome, we were invited by some of his restaurant regulars which made our experience even better as he knew there choices and suggestions came accordingly. Great selection of international wine and forsure des grands cru Francais pour finire la soiree.

From reservation to receipt we were so well looked after by Chris and colleague. All the recommendations were ordered from tapas, drinks and desserts. Great choice of wine by the glass with many sharing plates too. Recommend for date night and catch up with friends. Tasty and filling food. Ideal central location. So looking forward to popping back.

What self respecting French man would be expected to eat an evening meal in an hour and fifteen minutes.?! Arrived at the restaurant to be door-stopped and informed that we had the table for one hour and 15 minutes. Mmmm! .. I thought ... but not having made the booking I said I would hold my council until the party who had made the booking arrived. Quelle surprise they were as taken aback as I.. particularly when Open Table had confirmed that we would have the table for up to 1 hour 45 (still not ideal). When we questioned this the push back was onto Open Table and their interpretation of availability. It was also mentioned in order to over come the hardships of covid two sittings were necessary. Yes, covid has been challenging on us all. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't have a sad or difficult story from the pandemic but they haven't exploited the situation. I sourced my French ppppfffff and left. Shame really ... I believe the food wine and service are amazing if you get long enough to enjoy it.

Staff was very friendly! We brought our puppies and they were treated very kindly too. Quality food was great and the wine was standing out! It felt like being in one of those French bars. Nice outdoor space and also heated. I'd recommend it!

The restaurant is located in a cosy corner on Dawson street. They have a really good selection of wines (there is a comprehensive menu in addition to the main menu). The food was really good too. Special mention to the The duck confit which was delicious. The place was busy enough for a Friday evening and the service was good too. Really liked the ambience as it was cute and cosy.

What an amazing wine bar with amazing owner and staff! We visited the weekend just gone with friends and instantly fell in love. The wine list is great and the wines themselves are outstanding, we couldn’t stop ordering more! The owner Christophe is a lovely gentleman who engaged with us throughout the night and offered excellent service alongside the other staff. Looking forward to returning and trying out the food menu and of course having more delicious wine! Highly recommend for everyone to visit.

We had a lovely time here! The Menu is French Bistro orientated. Food & wine were excellent; pricing was quite reasonable, given it's location. Very small & intimate spot; would recommend booking. We will return!

Lovely place but can be improved on many points. Decoration wise it can be made a bit more romantic with candles and lighting. The duck was gorgeous, the salmon could have been a bit more pink. For a wine bar I did not expect them to serve unrefrigerated white wine. After commenting they changed the wine without any issues. Great wines, great menu, and good experience but several points that can easily be improved upon.

We had high hopes after passing this place many times. It looks very charming from the outside and I had been before for dessert and a drink and left with good memories. This time around, the staff were attentive and kind, but the food was a huge disappointment. Tartiflette was cold and watery (€18). We felt awkward but sent it back — they simply muddled the previous plate back together and warmed it up. It tasted fine but we found bits of tin or aluminium in what was left. We showed the server and she apologised but nothing was done or acknowledged beyond that. I got lamb and my partner got steak — both were quite fatty with okay sides. The wine was very nice. Still, I don’t think we will be back.

I love this place. Excellent wines, good value for Dublin, great location and really nice host. It’s quiet and understated,I would say, which suits me fine!
