Won't
go
there
again.
Don't
recommend
for
solo-travellers
I
was
honestly
disappointed
by
my
stay
at
the
Abbey
Court
Hostel,
mostly
because
of
the
atmosphere.
As
a
solo
traveller
I
didn't
really
have
the
chance
to
connect
to
others,
as
almost
everyone
seemed
to
be
staying
with
a
group.
There
was
no
atmosphere
of
people
connecting
with
each
other.
Often
other
guests
didn't
even
greet
me
back
in
the
hallway.
The
facilities
may
have
been
modern
and
outstanding
when
the
hostel
opened
23
years
ago,
in
my
opinion
it
is
quite
outdated
now.
Other
aspects
that
didn't
make
my
stay
much
happier
include:
-
Cleanliness,
would
rate
6/10.
While
showers
and
toilets
generally
looked
clean
in
the
first
place,
at
the
same
time
there
was
a
plastic
razor
cap
dropped
by
someone
in
the
shower
which
still
wasn't
removed
after
the
four
days
of
my
stay.
The
floor
of
my
dorm
was
totally
dirty
(you'll
understand
why
with
my
next
point).
It
was
probably
not
cleaned
at
all
during
my
entire
four-day
stay.
-
Construction
workers
passed
my
dorm
in
the
morning
to
enter
the
flat
roof
of
the
second
floor,
where
they
machined
metal
cages
with
a
flex.
This
was
not
only
incredibly
loud,
so
that
I
got
woken
up,
but
their
dirty,
wet
shoes
also
soiled
the
floor.
This
happened
on
2
days
of
my
stay.
On
one
other
day
you
could
as
well
hear
loud
construction
going
on
in
the
morning
in
some
other
area
of
the
hostel.
-
The
curtains
of
the
bunk
beds
could
be
opened
or
closed
only
for
all
levels
of
the
beds
at
the
same
time.
-
The
reading
lights
of
the
other
levels
of
your
bunk
bed
also
brighten
up
your
bed.
The
person
sleeping
above
me
had
their
reading
light
on
until
at
least
2
am
every
single
night,
what
made
it
really
hard
for
me
to
fall
asleep.
-
There
was
no
wifi
available
at
our
dorm.
-
Showers
were
unpleasantly
hot,
you
cannot
regulate
the
temperature.
-
No
proper
power
outages
for
hair
driers
available
in
the
bathrooms.
You
can
only
dry
your
hair
either
in
your
dorm
or
in
the
hallway,
both
with
no
mirrors.
-
I
booked
a
6-bed
dorm,
but
was
assigned
an
8-bed
dorm
without
any
notice
or
refund.
To
be
fair
the
room
was
not
full,
but
still...
-
Storing
your
baggage
in
a
safe
space
at
the
reception,
which
is
not
accessible
for
the
whole
hostel
unlike
the
general
storage
room,
costs
an
extra
free
of
€3
per
small
bag
and
€6
per
large
bag.
Positive
aspects
of
my
stay:
-
The
hostel
is
very
central,
you
reach
everything
important
within
few
minutes
of
walking.
Next
time
in
Dublin
I'll
definitely
book
with
another
hostel.
