I truly enjoyed my stay at the Abbey Court Hostel. The location is absolutely great, if you like walking, basically all the sights are within easy reach from the hostel. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and more equipped, but in general it's a great hostel to get to know people and just have a good time. The beds have little curtains, so you can have your privacy during the night (and day if you wish). I really appreciated that they offer breakfast which is included in the price. The staff members were helpful and fun to talk to.

My group of friends and I loved this hostel! Everywhere was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and happy to help us. The location was perfect, being right in the city center, but still safe. We’ve stayed at a couple other hostels and this one was one of the better ones we’ve stayed at. The free breakfast was an amazing plus! Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at the Abbey Court Hostel! The Staff is super friendly and very helpful! Especially Laura, she sent me my lost powerbank one week after I left and did it so quickly and Professional! What a service! Super central! What else can I say? Strongly recommend it!

My brother recommended me the hostel from my stay in Dublin and I was amazed. First let's start with the location. Better location from this you will not find. Exactly in the center at the other side of the temple bar region. Friendly staff and the beds are very good and comfortable. They offer a simple but quite good breakfast, so ideal for a good start in the morning.

Buyer beware: Abbey Court wasn’t the pleasant stay I was expecting. Staying during St Patrick’s Day, I was met with friendly staff when checking in, but this did not last beyond the first night. Unfortunately the services provided did not really meet the €75 per night I paid for a bed in a 12 person room. Surge pricing is understandable but this was excessive for a cramped room, not the cleanest amenities, and a barely available breakfast. Additionally I was met with argumentative staff over small requests such as where I could fill my water bottle when it did not fit under the small sink (“the kitchen is closed, figure it out”). Displayed in their lobby was the maximum rates from Failte Ireland - saying €70 a night for 6 bedroom rooms (as pictured). Perhaps there is a good explanation as to why my booking rate exceeded this for a busier room, but this seems unlawful. At least the location was great. I could’ve shared a bedroom in a nice hotel for the same price - but I guess you learn from experience.

It is in a good location. However there are a number of other Dublin hostels ideally located near the city centre. The prices are extortionate for just a basic room without security of belongings. They charge extra for the bare essentials. Not to mention the fact that they leave you waiting around half the day for your room to be ready.

Abstract: Don’t book this accommodation except if you clarify that your room is not looking on the street ! Firstly, the hostel is huge! You can easily lost over there. The location is so good, it’s so central BUT if your room, like ours, is facing the street you cannot sleep at all during the night. It has huge kitchen, and common rooms. The breakfast is really poor. There is nothing much to eat. After the first sleepless night we requested to change the room, but they said that they have to change lot of things on the computer and it’s very difficult for them. The rooms are also very small! Zero customer service they just need your money. I would not recommend!

Location really central and staff is nice. The building is a bit of a maze though, because it’s two buildings connected by a bridge. So for certain rooms (16-19 I think), it’s a bit of a trek to get to the room. Only gross thing was I found someone’s clipped nails on my bed. Not sure if the sheets weren’t changed or properly cleaned before I arrived? That was a pretty disgusting find in the middle of the night.

We had a really great time staying at abby court hostel. The staff is really what made it especially Florin and Turkish T. They provided helpful insights into Dublin and the surrounding area. Would definitely stay again.

Abbey Court is right in the center of everything, It was super easy to get there from the airport and to find my way to all the attractions. The staff is so nice and welcoming, super helpful and knowledgeable. The beds are nice and comfy, the place is clean, there is lots of washrooms and showers. The breakfast is simple but with nice variety. You will need a lock to secure your belongings on the box provided by the hostel. I really like it and it was nice and quiet (I went in November) I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Dublin

I absolutely loved staying here. It's close to everything the bus stop was just down the street very convenient! The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hostel. I wanted to give a shout-out to Sweet Carol! She was amazing and made me feel at home. She was very helpful with recommendations and I can tell she really loves her job, she was the absolute best and deserves a raise!!

Mainly for the location, room is not very clean but spacious. Shower very tiny. Radiators can't be regulated and keeps you in sauna mode during the night. And no needs of alarms clock, works happen early morning like the charming noisy painting of the walls with its remarkable smell.

I spent a week there by myself and absolutely loved it ! I had to stay in a mixed dorm because there wasn't any female dorms available, but I met amazing people (Vicky and Mathis, if you're seeing this, ily <3) and made unforgettable memories. The hotel is very clean, the staff basically clean everything everyday from what I've seen. The kitchen is great, the common areas nice to hangout/relax at. The staff is very helpful and sweet. The hotel is literally in the center of Dublin, close to everything. I would 100% stay again at the Abbey court hostel if I ever come back to Dublin.

Tried to book into a room late but there was no beds available which was ok as it was late. Only option was a private room, which wasn't great for the price. considering I was only in the room for 8 hours. I tried to cancel my initial booking but as it was within 24 hours I wasn't entitled to a full refund, if in the case of booking a few days before fine but not getting refunded even when booked within 24 hours is a bit crazy. I was told to go through Booking.com to cancel the room but I did that and was directed back to cancel at the desk that night. I asked if any towels were available in the room, I was told there wasn't so had to rent a towel. Went up to the room and there was towels in the room which wasn't what the person at the desk said. Given the circumstances paying for a towel was a kick in the teeth. Terrible experience, wouldn't recommend.

Overall my stay here was fine. The location is great, right in the city centre. The complementary breakfast was okay, nothing special, but a nice touch nonetheless. The showers are either freezing cold or SCALDING hot (there’s no way to adjust the temperature). The hostel is a total maze. Like it’s not logically mapped out… the way to get to your room just doesn’t make sense. The doors to the room slam shut. I had a top bunk right next to the door and unfortunately the curtain doesn’t go all the way around the bed so I had the exit sign shining in my face all night which doesn’t help when you’re trying to get used to a new time zone (daylight and nighttime). The hostel also doesn’t have much in the way of promoting social connectedness. The staff are not overly friendly either. However, other pros are that there’s regular cleaning and it’s a comfortable enough place to sleep. It’s not like you’re going to be spending all your time at the hostel anyway. Would I stay here again? Sure, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

The location of the hostel is great. It has a big shared space to for when you have time to relax. And they serve a fair breakfast. Nothing special, but they serve coffee! The only big problem with this hostel is that it's not suitable for tall people. The bed was shorter than me. And the shower was so low that I didn't fit well under it. So recommend but not if you are tall.

I am a young, female solo traveller from Canada and I visited Abbey Court Hostel in early October (first time in Dublin!) The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, making for an easy check in (and out). I stayed in a 10-bed mixed dorm, which was at the back of the hostel. The room/bed was clean (and I have relatively high standards), and I saw the beds being changed each time someone left which was reassuring. There was a strange smell in the bedroom (most likely from non-showered visitors) which made it hard to enjoy being in the room for more than sleeping. This was really the only unfortunate thing, and it was likely just a fluke. That said, everyone in the room was pleasant but kept to themselves (I think this is rare for Abbey Court, as it’s a social hostel!) The common room and dining rooms were clean, comfortable and hosted friendly guests! They also had a wide variety of bathroom options, ranging from communal to single stalled female with toilet and shower. I loved the fact that they had female-only bathrooms because it made changing/showering much more comfortable. This place is very traveller friendly and great for a short-term stay. While centrally located and easy to access transport systems nearby, I still felt very safe and had no issues with leaving things under my bunk! Would recommend! Thanks for the awesome hospitality :)

Won't go there again. Don't recommend for solo-travellers I was honestly disappointed by my stay at the Abbey Court Hostel, mostly because of the atmosphere. As a solo traveller I didn't really have the chance to connect to others, as almost everyone seemed to be staying with a group. There was no atmosphere of people connecting with each other. Often other guests didn't even greet me back in the hallway. The facilities may have been modern and outstanding when the hostel opened 23 years ago, in my opinion it is quite outdated now. Other aspects that didn't make my stay much happier include: - Cleanliness, would rate 6/10. While showers and toilets generally looked clean in the first place, at the same time there was a plastic razor cap dropped by someone in the shower which still wasn't removed after the four days of my stay. The floor of my dorm was totally dirty (you'll understand why with my next point). It was probably not cleaned at all during my entire four-day stay. - Construction workers passed my dorm in the morning to enter the flat roof of the second floor, where they machined metal cages with a flex. This was not only incredibly loud, so that I got woken up, but their dirty, wet shoes also soiled the floor. This happened on 2 days of my stay. On one other day you could as well hear loud construction going on in the morning in some other area of the hostel. - The curtains of the bunk beds could be opened or closed only for all levels of the beds at the same time. - The reading lights of the other levels of your bunk bed also brighten up your bed. The person sleeping above me had their reading light on until at least 2 am every single night, what made it really hard for me to fall asleep. - There was no wifi available at our dorm. - Showers were unpleasantly hot, you cannot regulate the temperature. - No proper power outages for hair driers available in the bathrooms. You can only dry your hair either in your dorm or in the hallway, both with no mirrors. - I booked a 6-bed dorm, but was assigned an 8-bed dorm without any notice or refund. To be fair the room was not full, but still... - Storing your baggage in a safe space at the reception, which is not accessible for the whole hostel unlike the general storage room, costs an extra free of €3 per small bag and €6 per large bag. Positive aspects of my stay: - The hostel is very central, you reach everything important within few minutes of walking. Next time in Dublin I'll definitely book with another hostel.

Abbey Court has a great, central location, not being far from various bus stops around the city and to the Dublin airport. The facility itself was decked out compared to most hostels I’ve stayed in, with a robust eating hall, bathroom and shower options, breakfast, and more. My favorite part was that every bunk had its own black-out curtain to keep disturbance from light low. The facility was clean, organized, and professional. And the staff at the desk were very kind and helpful. They even made change into coins for me so I could grab a water in the early morning. Highly recommended.

Excellent location with very helpful people at the reception. The rooms are small and the beds also small. Not the cleanest bathrooms I have seen. It's better to use the restaurant's bathroom which is cleaner and more spacious! The price was also quite expensive for a bed in a room with 8 other people!

It's a very nice place. Modern, huge kitchen and dining room, there's a piano, a big common area. Two things: beds are not the best (specially if your heavy and/or very tall) and there's a lot of stairs. So if you have mobility issues, I can't recommend it.

we really enjoyed our stay here! the hostel is right in the heart of dublin, and was quite affordable. we stayed in an all women's room, and the room was consistently clean and smelled nice. beds had a privacy curtain and there was a locker underneath to keep your stuff. there is a large lounge area as well as a kitchen, hammock room and laundry that only cost us 5 euro. there is also free breakfast here, which we liked. The staff were friendly and helpful, and took any concerns we had seriously. The entire hostels walls are covered in murals, which really sets the place apart. we would totally stay here again!

Pros: staff is extremely friendly and well prepared, the place itself is very cool with all the murals, very central so most of the sights are within walking distance, lots of bathrooms, clean, privacy curtains on the bunk beds, they offer free walking tours Cons: the bathroom inside the dorm is quite small (which is why I preferred the communal bathrooms outside of the dorms which were a bit bigger), sleeping on the top bunk made me get motion sickness because the metal structure of the bunk bed moved around whenever I or my lower bunk mate moved, breakfast was a bit poor in choices (it would be nice to have more sweet options like croissants or something) We also had the misfortune of being there at the same time as school groups which made so much noise late at night/very early in the morning and were disrespectful in regards to others. All in all, it's not bad, especially for a short stay, but I wouldn't say it's made for everyone.

Pretty much as great as a hostel can be. They can’t control who your roommates are, but they pretty much nail everything else. I really appreciated the early bird special after arriving on a redeye, which allowed me to get a nap in without paying for an extra night. Shared facilities like the kitchen are impressively clean.

Abbey Court Hotel is the place to go if a good location and low costs is all that matters. For everything else. Skip it. The people don’t really care or ask how you’re doing. The breakfast is horrible, the bed uncomfortable, the showers and toilet scarce and far away. (The floor are disgusting and people even sleep in hallways). I felt disgusted being there. But! I have to say, it’s one of the best locations in the city. Also I found it still quite expensive per night. We had a friends weekend , so I had no choice but to go here. Anyways. Great location, not so great service and rooms.

I, quite simply, adored this place. Perfect location, nice rooms, good bathrooms. There were tons of amenities, such as a game room, a kitchen, a hammock room, a restaurant, and probably more that I didn’t get to. But what really made this place amazing was the staff. SO nice, check in was lovely and easy, there were even Halloween activities as we stayed in October (even got to carve a pumpkin with staff and had hour long conversations about life— so lovely). The boss of the whole place made herself available to us and gave us the best recs, like everyone there was so dedicated in making sure you had a great stay and great trip. I rate this place a 4.99999, and would only bump it up to five if it was a little newer but the charm was fantastic. Definitely stay here.

Amazing place to stay when you are on budget. Rooms are simple but with everything you need (for a better stay don't forget to bring your own lock to keep your things safe in the provided closets, but you can also buy one here). Beds are comfortable, a bit squeaky but after a long day you don't care much😀 Breakfast is simple yet has a variety of options to satisfy your taste. Staff is awesome! Warm welcome is guaranteed and they do their best to keep you social. We got just on time for ping pong tournament organized by Thran and it was super nice and fun! Sad that our stay was not long enough to participate in other events they organize here (movie nights, scavenger hunt, musical bingo, and more) They also offered a great deal for pub crawling - you definitely have to try it - they know how to make your stay fun and show you around nice places! The location is the gem on it's own and what made us choose it on the first place, but the atmosphere and welcoming people made our stay really great.

I am used to sleeping in hostels but this experience was something completely new since it was in bedroom with 50 beds and it was impossible to get sleep since there was always someone opening and closing the door. I imagine that introvert's worse nightmare would look close to that. Other than that the place was fine

The vibe here is brilliant ! The rooms are very clean. The staff is helpful & smiling 😃 We stayed in the Jim Morrison room & explored the hostel. So much to see and do at the hostel itself. Going down a flight of stairs you may find someone at the piano, or painting or writing. We will definitely return

I had such a great stay here! They were so helpful, allowed me to check my bags before my check in, and the location was great. It was right on the river which meant quick access to great parts of the city all around. I emailed them before my stay with questions and got prompt, helpful answers. The rooms were really nice and there was amazing storage space by the beds, probably the most I’ve seen in a hostel! (As well as single bathrooms in the room in addition to hallway bathrooms). I loved being able to hear and see the sound of Dublin right outside my window, I’d love to come back!

Maybe, this hostel has one of the cheapest price bed in Dublin. Almost cheap places aren't clean...but here is good! And, what is better, breakfast is really nice!! We can eat cheese, hum, fruit etc. it's very rare at hostel. If anything, smoking area is beside eating area. It depends on the time?, eating area is quite bad smoky smell.

I paid 25 euro and I was sharing with 4 other people. However due to covid,it's 1 person to a bunk (success! ) the price was decent for what you get normally. However, due to covid there's no breakfast etc in the morning. The biggest downside was I was put near the street at the back,a few late night revellers and junkies/drunks making noise outside and ypu can hear it through the windows. then at 3am in the morning a car alarm went off. Luckily I had an early flight. Now I know the hostel can't really put a stop to these things,it's something just to look out for. I must say the staff were very friendly.

Great location, friendly staff, decent breakfast for the price, has a good kitchen. It's a bit hard to find the rooms, but it's normal the building it's a bit hard to navigate since it's a really old building. You can leave your bags before checking is nice if you travel with heavy bags. Overall, it's a great option if your English is not that good as much of the staff speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian.

Best Hostel I’ve been to yet in 22 countries. An amazing place if you want to meet people from all over the world as the hostel itself has tons of activities inside. Breakfast every morning. It’s right next to River Liffey and you can walk everywhere else to Temple Bar. There’s a bus stop right out front that I took to the beach in Howth. I would absolutely stay here every time in Dublin. Staff and security are great! 🙌🏾

  • 4/5 Christine De O. 3 years ago on Google
Very pretty inside. It's right on the river. There are more facilities than a usual hostel and if you want to save money on food, you can cook in the kitchen. If you're only traveling with one other person, they can put you in a double bed and split the cost of the bed, if you don't mind sleeping next to each other. Book at least 3 weeks in advance for bigger groups.

All I can say about this hostel is very good would recommend to anyone. The staff from reception to house keeper and security during the night were awesome very friendly to accommodate Thier costumer. The place also stunning and clean. Great location too if you want to wonder around city centre. The only thing that I didn't like what happened is their manipulative no manners and lack of costumer service is he called himself a "manager" which is god knows what was his name. I asked his name and giving me an answer according to him his name is "Abby Court hostel"when I ask him and answer me sarcastically and the smirk on his face... I stayed Thier for almost a month in Thier place without causing any trouble and he accused me of not paying my accomodation for two nights. How dare you. Your the manager you should know that if I didnt pay for my accommodation you should know my key shouldn't be working. Before deciding Mr Manager that I'm not welcome to the establishment you should asked your staff how nicely I am to every staff of yours.. I respect all your staff aside from you your no manners arrogant and probably get bullied when you were young. Thank you very much . I still love the place after that long story.. 🤭🤭🤭

If you want to get screwed over by a hostel during the pandemic this is the place. I told them I could not come (Pandemic! American! DUH!) and I was cancelling but because they only saw 1 reservation (I added nights) and didn't cancel the other apparently that's my fault now and I'm being charged $35!!! Definitely not where I'll be staying when I finally make it to Dublin!

Avoid at any price (and i am very used to youth hostels in Dublin and elsewhere). Booked a private room for 3 nights. The room was dirty, old and was private only by word. We could hear everything that was going on all around, party in the room next door, people entering and chatting in the corridor all night... The are supposed to check every hour but obviously didn't. I complained on the morning, they refund one night only, the least expensive of course. Cost of one night in a private room and 3 hours of sleep: 300euros. Will never stay there again.

Love this hostel. It does have a smell to it, so be warned. Other than that, I really did love it. It is in the heart of the city, its got what you need.

I've stayed in many hostels and this was by far the worst. The fire alarms went off for over an hour at 4am on Friday night. There was no communication from the hostel staff as to whether this was an accident or an actual fire. We eventually had to leave our room and walk down the 4 flights of stairs to the lobby to enquire if we should be exacuating. We eventually found out it was accidentally set off, but there was no remorse or apology from the staff. There was also no hot water the following day, and when we informed the staff, they did not apologise once. Although the location is great, I wouldn't pay to stay here again. The lack of care from the staff have turned me off.

The Owner/manager is a wonderful person to attend to customers. If the manager is on duty, you will experience great service. I personally experienced him. But a lady who deputizes for him is terrible. She influenced other staff to humiliate customers. Very terrible experience and there must be staff appraisal. Customers must be given opportunity to lodge a complaint

Staff were very friendly and informative! There was nothing they wouldn’t do to help-they were more than happy to pre-book our taxi to the airport for us as it was an early start! Honestly one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. It’s beautifully decorated, the room we had overlooked the river which was amazing! Love the little details like the British plug sockets (definitely helped for those of us that didn’t have an adaptor!), the curtains around the bunks for privacy. The en-suite bathroom was tiny and two of our party are 6”5 so not ideal for them however there were shower rooms and toilets on our corridor so it was no problem to use them instead! The beds were comfy, lovely duvet, the common room was so cool with pool tables and such a good place to socialise and make friends! We didn’t use the kitchen but it looked amazing and very clean! The whole hostel was spotless to be fair. Location is absolutely insane, literally a 5 minute walk from temple bar! And saying that, even with a window overlooking the river the noise level was surprisingly good! I’ve recommended to all of my friends to stay here if they visit Dublin and I know for sure I will be back here!

Bit of a mixed bag! Most of the staff are absolutely lovely with one or two of them being quite rude. Most of the bathroom amenities are amazing (clean and new) but then the hot water is super patchy with no hot/cold controls. Just one temperature. Rooms were nice and clean but packed given COVID concerns. Kitchen was nice and usable, but the kitchen wasn’t open till 8AM (quite late) and no breakfast was provided apparently because of COVID concerns (but rooms were full to the brim). Other guests were really lovely and games rooms and bar would be so nice but under utilised because of COVID. All in all I’m sure it would be amazing during COVID but at the moment is a solid average hostel, good for the price point and really well located.

Perfect location in the center, comfy bed but the rest was a bit sad for the price. Included breakfast was not provided and the bathrooms looked really dirty. Very friendly staff.

Staff were wonderfully friendly, room pricing was great considering the location (around the corner from O'Connell's Street) and the room itself was lovely - double bed with ensuite that my friend and I shared. They even have a luggage holding service - we were able to leave our bags behind the counter after we checked out and went exploring until we had to go to our train. I will definitely be staying with these wonderful people again!

Abbey Court Hostel is right in the middle of Dublin, across the street from the Temple Bar district. The buses pick up just down the street and it's incredibly central and in walking distance. Very clean and has a twenty-four hour diverse staff who speak a lot of languages. A lot of diverse groups checking in from students to teachers to young and old travelers. It's a very welcoming place. I recommend it for whatever reason you come to Dublin. This was my first hostel I ever stayed in. I would definitely stay again.

Positive: Location, helpful staff, nice chill-area, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast included, good WiFi connectivity. Negative: No (or bad) ventilation in the rooms, breakfast could be richer (lack of variation). Bring a padlock if you want to lock your stuff inside the metal containers in the rooms! You have an option to buy it at the reception (6e). For ~80e per night in 33-bed sleeping room, you'd expect a tiny bit more, hence 3 stars.

Stay was okay, room was clean and staff was nice. However the free breakfast could have been more organized and there were a lot of guests coughing in the lounges not wearing masks… definitely wouldve appreciated masks encouraged in the shared spaces.

I stayed and worked remotely from this hostel. The wifi is fast and there are quite a few quiet places in the large communal area to work with few distractions. A great location obviously with heaps of places for lunch and for after work beers. If you are looking to work remotely on a budget you might struggle to find better.

  • 4/5 İbrahim Alper K. 2 years ago on Google
The location is totally the centre of the city. Actually I wouldn't expect this. The rooms are quite clean. Breakfast was a useful gesture but the sort of breakfast was a bit poor. Wifi was perfectly and speedly working. At all, I can surely recommend this place to stay.

  • 2/5 Michael F. 1 year ago on Google
Good location, adequately clean. Outrageously priced (97 euro, plus 6 euro to securely store my bag for a couple hours). Inadequate secure storage in rooms (i couldnt fit my bag in the locker). No shelf or storage next to bed to put your glasses or phone when going to sleep. Bed felt like it was going to tip over when I climbed to the top bunk. Follows the Irish custom of providing only a duvet to sleep under, which means I was melting all night long (a sheet and a blanket is a much better option so you can at least adjust for a comfortable temperature.)

Pros: Basic hostel in a convenient location. Has security. Good interior decor. Breakfast included. Cons: Not enough space to store larger luggage in the dorm room, took 10 min for hot water to come in shower, no hair dryer in the bathroom (need to take a special request from the front desk after giving ID). I have stayed in many hostels before, if clients have to leave earlier than breakfast time, they do provide some takeaway breakfast. Here that was not the case unfortunately. Door to the room was creaky which meant that you could hear everyone coming in. Ear plugs advised. For 90€ for a dorm bed, I expected a bit more...

Great location, free breakfast was good as well, but knowing we had an early tour one of the 2 days we stayed they didn’t provide any options for an early breakfast ( nothing available to grab ahead of time ). Considering the cliffs of Moher tour is very popular among tourists they could provide some accommodations if they advertise they offer free breakfast. Another thing - we booked a dorm room and one lady kept coughing, but they could not do anything about it. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

I’ve just come back from a 3 night stay at Abbey Court. The location is absolutely FANTASTIC. I had to get the bus to one place but apart from that everything I wanted to do was in walking distance from the hostel. So handy! The staff were helpful and the breakfast that was included was pretty good. The only two negatives I have (and they aren’t really negative), is that there is stuff like a cinema room but it is not advertised when the movies are or anything like that, so I didn’t really end up utilising stuff like this. The only other thing is it’s quite noisy. Obviously it’s city centre so that is to be expected and to be honest if you can sleep through a little bit of noise (like I can!), you will be absolutely fine. Great for a few nights. Comfy and clean!!

I initially didn't expect much as it was a shared budget hostel but I was wrong. The wall was decorated with arts painting. When we entered our mixed dorm room, our was at a corner compared to others, probably because we booked earlier so it always pay to book early. Also, there is a curtain for privacy and a trolley cage which can be pulled underneath the bed which is a cool concept. The toilet for the mixed gender bed is outside which is relatively clean and the shower has area has free shampoo for us provided by the hostel. Showering area is quite big too. Another good point is there is free breakfast buffet provided such as Irish sausage roll, mini pancake, cheese, ham, bread, cereal, milk, fruit juice, hot drinks which run from 7.30am-9.30am. Also, there is shared kitchen, study area and gaming room and relaxing room of sort. Overall, it exceed my expectations and even though it is stated as 2 star, it is worth at least 3 star for me.

Great location in the middle of Dublin! A place to be if you want to safe some money. Hostel has great beds, a simple breakfast to start the day. Four stars due to the not clean shower.

  • 4/5 Lesley F. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms do get stuffy at night and fighting with the storage box under the bed due to the weird positioning was frustrating on a drunk night. But the staff are friendly and have good suggestions and the cleaning staff keep the place fresh and decent. I suggest going early for breakfast. This hostel is big and can be a maze once inside. But ita affordable and in a centralized location

the hostel itself is fine. the beds are clean, and comfy. there are plenty of showers and toilets. plus the location is ideal. i knocked a point off because there is little social atmosphere and i found it hard to meet people here being a solo traveller.

  • 4/5 Jettie K. 11 months ago on Google
Excellent location. Beds were decent, and for such a big hostel it was very quiet. The hostel itself is a maze, with lots of winding corridors. I found myself lost more than once. There also is a lot of stairs, so people with mobility issues should steer clear. Breakfast was adequate, I loved that there was plant based milk on request. Would stay here again.

This hostel was outrageously overpriced, but it is an absolutely fabulous vacation. Everything that I wanted to see in Dublin was within easy walking distance. The common areas were some of the better I've seen in hostels, with a large kitchen and a lot of sitting room between the couches in the common area and the tables outside of the kitchen. However, I found the rooms had absolutely no privacy at all. Most hostels I've stayed in have some kind of barrier or curtain for privacy, but there is none of that here, and beds looked directly into one another. As a single female traveller, this would definitely stop me from booking here again. There was also a lack of hooks. The bathrooms were quite small and were so occupied at peak times that I often had to go up or down stairs.

TLDR: Great hostel all-around, highly recommend. It is located in an ideal area close to Temple Bar and Trinity. They hold events several days of the week for their guests (shout-out Sweet Caroline). I stayed in a 12-person room and with the walls and curtain, it felt like a cozy, quiet 1-bed bedroom. Very good breakfast options for a hostel, at no additional cost. Stay for an enjoyable time and make sure to play music bingo.

We recently stayed here with a large group and our experience of both staying and booking exceeded all expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful, the rooms were in great condition and there was a lovely atmosphere in the common area-especially on the Saturday night when they had live music on. I was super impressed with the breakfast compared to other places I've stayed in Dublin. Lots of fresh fruit, pancakes, coffee-it really set us up for the day. We'll definitely be back.

I stayed at Abby Court for 4 night 5 days for about €200 - I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm with an ensuite - and the room was basic but comfy enough and had a warm shower despite being small. The location is perfect, so close to the centre of Dublin that you can just walk everywhere in less than half hour. I did have a minor security issue but the staff logged it and did offer to help as much as they could - The staff at Abby court were so sweet and were so genuinely nice. The breakfast was basic but you get what you pay for - would have been nice to see some pastries there but the fruit did change everyday which was nice. I really enjoyed Abby court and would stay again
