Tldr; very nice restaurant but we experienced a lot of waiting time The staff is very nice and welcoming. We were seated in a very nice spot in the restaurant, close to the cooking space but not too close, so we could see the chef cooking. The food was good. I mean we checked the comments and they mention the best Italian food in Ireland. I would not go that far, but it's good. And it's quite an original menu for an Italian restaurant. The only real bad experience we had was a very long waiting time (1 hour all put together) to get our meal. That being said, again, the staff was extra caring and well aware.

On holidays in Ireland for 2 weeks, worst food we’ve had. Tortolloni was dry. I had to ask for more sauce, but it was still inedible. The king prawn linguine was ok but the sauce didn’t have much seafood flavor. On a positive note, the red wine was good.

Really good food, especially gluten free options. The portions are right and the flavours are very good. The pasta Crips are neat, but not that special. The service really ruined the experience. Of the three servers only one knew what she was doing. Our 'main' server forgot our drinks, then forgot my wife's starter, then never showed up again. Luckily he's co-workers pick up the slack. The food is worth it, the service is not.

Pizzas rather small and did not excite me enough considering their prices. Atmosphere of restaurant very nice and Staff very friendly, Newly-introduced digital ordering system is a good idea, but UX needs to be improved (e.g. make payment options like paypal available, and possibility to adjust meals, e.g. toppings of pizza. We received only what we ordered in the app, not what we communicated with waitress).

Had a really nice meal here. If you like salads, the Marroccian salad was AMAZING. Really nicely seasoned and the small bread that comes with it was sooo tasty. its size could be a little bigger but apart from that it was amazing. We also had the pizza and it was great, a little on the spicy side but was told i could ask to be less spicy next time. They were fairly fast with the food and the waiters were nice also ( a yound culry haired girl (had no name tag)was particularly nice with a delightful attitude) def coming back.

This message is for the owner of the restaurant: NOT ENOUGH staff! Two people in the bar and 2 floor staff running around the place, stressed, customers waiting for hours to be served is not ok. Sunday lunch is a busy time so just hire extra staff for that day only. Trying to cut down costs by not having enough staff is only going to bring down the reputation of the place. Again, all staff very hardworking, friendly, they didn't rest for a minute so this is not their fault. Now let's talk about food. Garlic bread starter was really nice, main course Casareccia pesto rosso- probably the worst pasta I've ever had. Didn't have much taste, I could find 2-3 chicken strips in it, wasn't harissa chicken as states in menu so I paid 17 euros for plain pasta. For 17 at least half of a chicken fillet could go into it. Dessert: the filling of the tiramisu has a grainy texture which should be silky smooth and tiramisu is made with lady fingers, this is not an authentic italian tiramisu. The lemon tart is obviously factory made frozen/defrosted dessert. Its sweet and tangy, dense, rich in texture that needs something light and airy like whipped fresh cream to balance it out and not mascarpone. Dessert was served, we somehow managed to order 2 coffees that came out 15 minutes later, in all this time you're sitting there thinking i probably don't even want that coffee if its taking THAT long. So from arriving at 1pm and finishing dessert at nearly 4pm is a long time. I can't stress enough the fact that all staff members were up to their eyes and this is not their fault. The restaurant was packed with customers and very understaffed. So "dear" owner, it is NOT ok to expect few people run the restaurant for you. While you're getting rich, your staff is going through such stress that they're on the edge of breakdown, not having time to take a minute for a "breathe in -breathe out) because they're continuously running around. So if you care about your staff even a little, you will give them a pay rise and start hiring more people. I might give this place another try in few months time..

We were lucky to grab a reservation at Zizzi for the Wednesday before St. Patrick’s day. However, we experienced a few bumps along the way. We went ahead and ordered through the online menu (totally fine) but some items were unavailable (understandable). We also got a bottle of wine. When the wine was brought to our table, it was brought already opened and wasn’t poured for us to try before, it was just set down pre-opened. Our food took over an hour to come out and when it did, a hair was found in one of our pizza’s that did not resemble anyone in our group’s hair. When I let someone at the restaurant know, he took the hair from me, didn’t take my food, and just walked away. I don’t know what he did with it, but there was no apology. Later we checked and the pizza had been taken off the bill, so that was appreciated. Then we ordered dessert to try and save the meal, and it took over 30 minutes for it to come out. Desserts were great (we ordered three different ones) but the lemon tart did not come as described. Overall, food was good, service and treatment of customers was not.

Quite a cozy place with a nice interior, but not very fast service. In my opinion, the cuisine is far from Italian in the usual sense. The pizza was stale while we were eating it, the ravioli were giant and all topped with tomato paste. Beer only from cans. Half of the ordered food was delivered quickly, but the second part of our company had to wait a long time. It was unpleasant

Zizzi has a huge menu of good food, done well. There's a number of fantastic vegan and vegetarian options. Although some item menus were not in stock there was plenty of choice. Brilliant customer service, all staff are outstandingly accommodating and helpful, the manager offered to substitute missing cocktail ingredients with alternatives. Our waiter, Leon, was kind, fun and helpful. A wonderful dining experience overall.

Food was decent but the service was extremely poor, ordered one starter and 2 pizzas 1 pasta and a dessert. Starter was good but then our mains took almost an hour … when we brought it to the attention of the waiter they said it was in the oven … food eventually came and it was good .. finished the mains and asked for the dessert which was just ice cream … after another 15 minutes left without the dessert even though we paid for it.. wouldn’t recommend.

I eat in restaurants a lot and Zizzi’s Dublin Suffolk street is by far the best Italian restaurant in Ireland. We had a very warm and friendly welcoming from Wayne. It was extremely busy when we were there but all staff especially Wayne were continuing to be friendly and helpful throughout. I know I wouldn’t be very nice if it was that busy in work running around but they are. Service was extremely quick and we could see the amazing food being cooked by the extraordinary chefs. Thank you all for everything we will be seeing you again ☺️

Tried pizza with goat cheese and caramelised onion and Aperol spritz in Zizi. I really enjoyed the dinner, the waitress also brought pasta crisps on the houses, which was nice. The only thing I did not like is very untidy tables in outdoor area (they had some holes and they were full of small pieces of food, brrr), not pleasant at all.

First : I recommend booking online to have a seat. we were waiting more than 10 mins to have a seat until the manager came and gave us a seat Second : the food is really good, only starter is not that good, so I recommend maid dish Last : our order was late for more than 45 min for pizza. I don't know why

Stopped here on a friend’s recommendation and very glad we did - it was great! Very cool atmosphere. Didn’t love our server, she wasn’t overly friendly and just talked at us instead of with us, but all of the other staff we interacted with were very nice. As other reviewers mentioned, the cheesy garlic bread had barely any cheese but the flavour was good so we ate it despite that. The restaurant was fairly casual which I was very happy about. I had the chicken Calzone and it was so good. Definitely going to visit again if we have the chance!

The food was absolutely gorgeous! But the cheesy garlic pizza bread was not cheesy. Overall I would come back here the staff and atmosphere was great! It was my birthday and the staff all sang happy birthday to me and gave me a fudge brownie it was so lovely 😍😍 Thank you for making my night fun and special 💕

Celiac-safe Italian food! As a celiac, it is always difficult to eat Italian food. Going out for dinner it is often difficult to eat pizza / pasta. Not at Zizzi, though. At Zizzi they have incredibly great gluten-free pizza's available. It was the best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. The staff was also very friendly at Zizzi. Would definitely recommend going here!

Very good food, fun dishes and cool atmosphere. Some of the staff members felt impolite and not too welcoming, but overall the experience was good!

Fantastic food! It was very comforting to have been asked about allergies as soon as I entered. The wait staff was very attentive to my allergies and went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Aside from that, the atmosphere here is great! great patio as well

I was a big fan of this place for the food choices, but each time I've visited here the experience has gotten worse, recently the tables are crammed together and have not exactly been comfortable or spacious. We got offered a table that was very crammed and probably shouldn't have been there, we asked for a different one, we got offered one essentially at the doorway on the entrance. There was a red fire exit button flashing at my level in front of me for my meal. I don't think there should have been a table where I was sitting the second time either. I wouldn't usually have a problem if it was busy or if there was no space anywhere else, but the restaurant was essentially empty for the entirety of our dinner. The food is very nice and the waiting staff are friendly, I think the restaurant needs to be more customer focused as I didn't really enjoy the experience my last few times there, and i will probably not return unfortunately.

It's good for vegans, the service it's good, the girls are really nice. But the food it's not the best that I've tried. They don't have the full menu to serve, for example, I ask for chips and they only had sweet potatoes. Pizza's where fine, but not amazing. And I didn't try the meat menu, so maybe I'm loosing that part of the experience! ps. don't forget to join the club! because they have free garlic bread if you join, and you can have points!

Not recommend, Expensive food and out-of-standard restaurant !!! I've ordered food at Zizi many times but this time it was a joke! Look at the amount of pasta in the Bolognese and carbonara pasta. I always order Bolognese and the amount was always the same, but this time it was a joke. What will be done about it Zizi ? Was the restaurant out of pasta ?

The food gets 5 stars! Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. The vegan lasagna is a must try even for none vegans. Portions are generous so come hungry. Please come with grace in mind-the servers were not incredibly astute to our table outside and the restaurant was out of several items. These things didn’t keep us from enjoying the delicious food, drinks and a great conversation with the Manager. Hope you enjoy!

There is actually a vegan menu! I am very lactose intolerant and have a very hard time going to restaurants. The wait staff was very good and the restaurant was very nice and the food was very enjoyable.

Food was delicious with really generous portions. The cocktails were really tasty, and the staff were all really friendly. They even gave us complementary pasta crisps.

First off, staff are great! It was my friend's birthday and they were very accommodating and friendly, even sang the birthday song for him! Because of that, I really wanted to like the food but I found their prawn pasta very bland. The decor was really nice and booking a table was very convenient. Overall, still alright but dear for what you get food-wise.
