We went on a family visit to spend early evening hours before returning home for dinner. The place is spacious on board a ship. It has five segmented areas besides the deck area. There was an indoor marriage party in progress. We loved our visit. It was memorable. Here are some photos.

My only regret is this World class Fish and Chips is 5000+ miles away from my home in Texas. Please I'm begging you - go have your life changed and eat at this wonderful venue.

I recently visited MV Cill Airne and would like to share my mixed experience. While the setting and service were commendable, the food left something to be desired. I ordered the Bouillabaisse, which unfortunately arrived cold and lacking in flavor. The dish could definitely benefit from some improvements to meet the expectations one might have for a dining experience on such a lovely boat. On a brighter note, the service was quite impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on providing a pleasant experience for their guests. Their efforts to ensure customer satisfaction were truly appreciated. The location and ambiance of MV Cill Airne are undeniably charming. The boat itself is beautifully maintained and offers a unique dining experience, especially on a sunny day or during sunset. The picturesque views and calming atmosphere certainly make it an attractive destination. In summary, while my dining experience at MV Cill Airne wasn't perfect due to the disappointing food, the exceptional service and lovely setting still make it a place worth considering. If the quality of the dishes can be improved, it has the potential to be an outstanding venue for a memorable meal.

The restaurant is worth visiting : the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is very accommodating! You can not feel the boat rocking- which is great . The food was fine : ordered onion rings ( best every had probably), crab pate ( pls , add more bread to the portion) and short ribs ( too much fat in a small portion - but if you like ribs this way , they were delicious)

Took our booking at short notice. Delicious, fresh fish & chips. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Can also recommend their espresso martini! Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Delicious food and amazing service. We had the goat cheese plate for starters and fish and chips and lamb for main dishes. Well presented, cooked and delicious. Highly recommend

We have had a company event organised here. There have been other companies there but no issues or confusion as to who goes where. There was a friendly security guard who managed and guided people as they were coming. The area where we were was a bit small and at times really warm and loud so you would need to speak loudly to have a conversation meaning everyone else was doing the same thing. The finger food that came in was really tasty, there were fish and chip bits, bruschetta, sunday roast bites, pulled pork bites and one of my fave things cauliflower florets. For the amount of people it might have been a bit more food but I am a foodie though so it may be just me. Overall service was spot on and I believe everyone had a good time. Also the view from the boat (as this is one) was just great.

First time here for a work event! Absolutely fantastic venue for a larger group (50) get together. Started in the White Bar for pre-drinks which also has a deck just outside for smoking section. From there into the Quay 16 restaurant section of the boat. Considering our size of group, the food was excellent and served promptly, especially with fillet steak on the menu and each person getting exactly the cooked request that they had asked for. All staff we met were absolutely lovely - efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

Scallops and black pudding- sublime. Fillet steak - even more sublime. Very friendly and professional staff and the setting is just that bit different. Packed when we were there and not surprised. My wife's fish was perfectly cooked. This has to be on the list of any discerning team of taste buds. We ate inside but outside would give a completely other experience. A few beers with the food on a sunny day and it would be Heaven. If we'd booked earlier, we'd probably have gotten one but we're just happy to have been customers of such a fine restaurant.

Nice boat restaurant and bar. Visited it twice during our stay in Dublin. Staff was very friendly and prices were okay. Nice view over the Liffey river.

Great experience throughout. We were well looked after by all staff. The security at the entrance was extra nice, considering we didn't have a reservation. All waiting staff were lovely as well. Food was superb. Best view and atmosphere. We'll be back again!

This is my second visit to this restaurant. And for the second time it was a very lovely experience. The food delicious, I tried the chicken wings and the fish plate both of the dishes didn't disappoint me at all ! And the price for them very decent as well 😎 The waiting time very short and the staff very friendly and highly professional. Starting from the door man, going to the waitress and waiters. The menu consist of around 10 dishes and everyone gonna find something for themselves. The choice of beverages is good as well. The interior of the ship 🚢 decent, nothing sophisticated, but the view from the ship itself on the surroundings so nice. And that is actually true what they say that is the only restaurant on the river, as you can not find any other the is ship to be a restaurant, there are places next to the river or on the platform but not a ship. All on all very nice place well worth visit.

Good restaurant with a good atmosphere and a lot of young people. Service was ok. The food is not too impressive. The boat burger was too dry, and the fries had a fishy flavor. The white bread didn't have much flavor. The fried goat cheese was really good, except for the vegetables: Boiled celery stuffed with more sour celery on a bed of a nutty paste. I think it didn't paired well.

We stopped by for an impromptu pint after a gig at 3Arena. Great atmosphere, staff are top tier, and it's such a special place in the heart of dublin. Even though the boat isn't sailing, looking over at the flowing river can feel like you're on an adventure. Bear in mind, it's not very accessibility friendly, at least to get to the upper decks, being both a small and dated boat, and it can be slippy due to weather. I use a walking stick and the handrails were good so I was able to climb upstairs, but there is also a small downstairs bar/smoking area if you're desperate to get on. (I recommend even for a drink or two) A cute addition was that the coasters are little postcards which is so sweet! Great marketing 🥰

We have visited here a few times when we go to shows in the 3Arena, it's. Great spot for a drink and some food close to the venue. Food is usually good and they have a good bar. Price wise it's on the upper side which is to be expected with it being a boat venue. We find it worth a visit for an occasion. The service is good as well.

Top spot especially on a sunny day. Nice food and pints. Not overly priced. It does be busy. Recommended.

Really nice spot on a boat by the Dublin dock lands. Ideal to celebrate a special occasion. We were a table of 15 and were looked after well. Not the most sophisticated of places even though it may look like it. Wine selection quite basic. Whisky was served in an ordinary canteen glass - bit of effort from staff would definitely upgrade the experience. Especially given the prices. I had the breaded chicken burger and my partner had a rib eye. We finished with a brownie. Food was nice and well presented.

Charming bar inside of a boat. The staff were very friendly. Decent selection of food and drinks, reasonably priced for the area, and a lovely view/setting. Not much else to say beyond that.

One of my favourite places in Dublin!! The staff are incredibly kind and lovely, and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant/pub is homey and cosy, but still super nice! Highly recommend ❤️

A very lovely place if you want to change to some fresh view restaurant, but, despite its potencial, they are even at half way of what it could be. The menu is kind of standard, nothing is new or innovative, but they serve is kind of good. The locations is awesome, but having to boat so tied up that it can note move at all its making it lose all of the charm of being dinning in a boat. It should be able to move just a little bit, in order to feel the waves under it, to give a bit more feeling of reality.

This local pub is full of amazing staff and lovely atmosphere. The food and drinks are not that expensive and the vibe is nice. This place is very relaxing. And the view from the boat is to die for. I love it.

If you are looking to do something different then why not step back into maritime history on board MV Cill Airne, at Quay 16, North Wall Quay, in the heart of Dublin city docklands. Have a drink with friends, enjoy a sumptuous meal while taking in unrivalled views of the waterfront. It's an experience you will not forget with friendly staff onboard.

We were very fortunate to spend Sunday (14th November 2021) evening dinning on board the Mv Cill Airne with family and friends. To say this is by far one of the best places I have had the pleasure to visit and eat in is an understatement. The Staff were very attentive and service was exceptional. We would highly recommend. Thanks to Ian, Rose and all the staff.

A really unique experience, we had a delicious meal. The steak was perfect. The accompaniments were all done to perfection - couldn't fault the food at all. The wait was quite long for the food, and we were rushing to catch a show, so missed the support act. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this restaurant. Would definitely visit again!

Went here for my boyfriends birthday 2 weeks ago and it was amazing! Everything about it, the scenery, the food the drinks, the boat itself and more importantly the staff. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. I’ll definitely come back again!!🥰🥰
