Sheehans Pub

Pub

👍👍 Beef and Guinness pie was my goal, as my local pub that served this dish in Arizona closed last year. Sheehan’s version has mashed potatoes on the top rather than the puff pastry but it was delicious! Lots of meat with a yummy gravy. My picky daughter loved the grilled cheese and my husband’s chicke... People often mention staff, atmosphere, great, Irish, good, friendly, Great, Guinness, nice, delicious,

Beef and Guinness pie was my goal, as my local pub that served this dish in Arizona closed last year. Sheehan’s version has mashed potatoes on the top rather than the puff pastry but it was delicious! Lots of meat with a yummy gravy. My picky daughter loved the grilled cheese and my husband’s chicken burger was enormous. Service and atmosphere were great - felt like a real Irish pub experience.

This is what an Irish pub is supposed to be. Small but spacious. Cozy. And the food is incredibly good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We ate here 3 times on our vacation.

What's not to love?!? This place came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! Great atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. Any Irish beer you could want on tap and as crazy as it sounds some of the BEST hot wings we have ever had. The fish and chips as well as the corn beef where also fantastic.

This place is a very nice pub with good food and service. I'm not rushing back but not regretting going and trying it. Had the fisherman's pie and potato soup.

This is a nice place to get authentic Irish food. Would be nice if the servers are a little more attentive and had more information on the menu items.

We had a wonderful dinner and drinks at Sheehan’s! The burgers are very tasty, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We especially enjoyed our time with Daragh and Ilmdar, they had excellent recommendations and conversation. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

I loved this little pub so much I came back 3 times during my stay in Dublin. Yummy traditional food, and plenty of other options as well. Maybe I was lucky but each time I was there it was not crowded and had a very serene ambiance. Loved the dim lighting and the service was great. Thank you!

Cute little pub! Food was really good. Had to wait a bit because it was packed. Didn’t end up getting a table so ate at a small counter on the side. They have a second floor but it was closed that day. The seafood chowder was more of a fish chowder but still very tasty. Got the chicken and stuffing sandwich with potato soup. I dipped the sandwich in the soup and it tasted like warm leftover thanksgiving dinner. It was delightful!

Our first time visiting Sheehans Pub, we found the staff to all be very friendly. The food here was especially delicious. We will recommend the seafood chowder and the beef and Guinness pie. Also the onion rings are the best we have had in a long time. Thank you Sheehans Pub for the hospitality. We would love to visit again soon.

Called in here today to have their Irish stew. It was the tastiest Irish stew I ever had. Delicious 😋 and well presented. Had a nice cup of coffee ☕ after. I highly recommend a visit here and highly recommend their Irish stew. It is very, very tasty 😋. The staff are welcoming, mannerly, pleasant and polite. All boxes ticked. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄.

Stopped in for one drink after a lot of walking around on Saturday afternoon. Such a lovely bar! Friendly staff and a great pint. Ended up staying for several more pints and some food, which was also delicious. I'll be back again for sure.

My wife and I went to Sheehan’s for dinner and drinks on a Sunday night. Waited for a table, but the experience was worth the wait. Food was amazing! The potato soup was probably the best we’ve ever had. I had the lamb shank, which was fall off the bone , gravy was rich and delicious which was balanced well with carrots and mashed potatoes. My wife had the seafood and potato cake, which was good and served with fresh greens. There was instrumental Irish music after 8pm which was lively and pleasant. We sat in the booth next to the musicians but it wasn’t too loud for us. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to get delicious food and drinks. Cozy pub, fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had the Guinness and beef pie. Soooo good! Came with a side of roasted veggies (which were terrific!). Wife had the Ultimate grilled cheese. Very good! Delicious whiskey drinks too.

During my recent visit to Sheehan's Pub, I had a mixed experience. The bangers and mash were undeniably delicious, and the portion size was quite generous. However, I found the prices to be on the higher side, considering the overall value. Additionally, it was evident that the staff was busy, which affected the service. Unfortunately, the fish and chips we ordered were not cooked to perfection, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the pub had a nice atmosphere and a lively vibe.

Had a couple pies, absolutely amazing! Fantastic service from Heilli ("The Turkish guy"). Would definitely visit again, I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as great! 🇨🇦

Unfriendly staff, small portions and high prices. Although the pub was not busy the waiter ignored us for about 10min until we came over to ask for the menu. After he came he moved the table about 0.5m away from us, as the table should not be there where it was!?! Of course we were not allowed to move to another empty table as it was only for four people. However, as soon as two regulars came in this was no issue anymore. The food was ok but compared with other pubs below average and really small portion size. In the end we had to chase down the waiter again to pay. Bad experience so if you are no regular who is greeted on arrival, I would not recommend to visit this place. This was by far our worst pub experience of Ireland.

A proper traditional Dublin bar, shirt and tie barman serving drinks perfectly in proper glasses. Cheerful wait staff and great food. Saw the barman deal incredibly well with an American tourist complaining about his Pint being "off". It wasn't - I was drinking the same! But replaced promptly with a smiling apology.

Sheehan's is in a great location near all the Dublin night life and the buzz of Grafton street. It's relatively small inside but I visited on a Friday evening in May and many people were outside with their drinks enjoying the sun. Three is a good range of beers and wines. The place was busy and it took some time to get served but that was a small price to pay for a pleasant drink.

Excellent Atmosphere. Definitely need to visit if you have visitors over. Local grub is delicious. Staff are really friendly. Sometimes you feel like it's a long wait but it's actually not. Roasting inside even though you think it should be colder.

(Translated by Google) Typical Irish pub in the center of Dublin. The staff is nice and accommodating, despite it being Saturday night and we had not booked, they found us a table in a few minutes. The menu is not extensive but there is a pub. Prices are average, the dish of beef marinated in guinness with french fries costs around € 15 (Original) Tipico pub irlandese nel centro di Dublino.
