The doctor Lawrence Lau is a very nice person. But I have got to say: they charge you for LITERALLY everything. I've got the results for my exams and I only need to be recommended to the Women's Hospital for a colposcopy and they want me to pay €70 for a consultation just to be recommended. Honestly GP's are not the best in Ireland and the only thing they could think about it is the money... I am looking for another GP for my consultations because having to pay €70 for a recommendation letter is a JOKE!!! As the only trouble the doctor will have is to send a short e-mail. Every question I had asked to the receptionist the only "answer" I had was: "I don't know only the doctor can explain". Which means that I need to pay the €70 for absolutely nothing!!

Dr. Lau is the best doctor i have had. A friend recommended him when mine retired and I cant thank her enough! He really loves his job and you can feel that when you attend. He cares so much to find out the root of the problem and cares about your personal well-being. He is very knowledgeable and up to date about the best treatments available. He is also very good at referring you for further investigations like scans etc if he feels they are needed. He is very thorough and careful about giving the right medication. I trust him completely and feel like he really wants to help people to get better rather than make money off them. Also he listens to you and takes into consideration anything you say. He s the best in Dublin.

I have found Dr Lau to be very helpful. He listens carefully. He doesn't rush or try to get rid of you. He always asks if there's anything else you need before he finishes. He also seems to be knowledgeable, experienced and competent.

Dr. Lau is a remarkable physician. I've been going to him since 2020, and I was so pleasantly surprised at how professional, personable, empathic, and efficient he was from the very beginning, and this hasn't wavered since. I recently faced a rather significant health crisis, and thanks to his quick action and excellent judgement, I immediately got all the appropriate medical care I needed – I don't know what state I'd be in right now if it weren't for him. Dr. Lau has my highest recommendation.

Dr Lau is incredible. I had read the Google reviews and didn't understand how so many glowing reviews could be genuine, but now I know. Hi All, just wanted to pop and review up. Attended this medical practice last week as I was very ill won’t go into it. Doctor and receptionist could not of been anymore helpful. I paid my full bill no problem and got my prescription. Got my little one to clean my car where the prescription was and unfortunately she has thrown it out. Called the girls in capel street medical to see if this could be rectified. I was advised to make a report to An Garda Siochana which I know the protocol to this with lost property which is completely the right protocol. I also have a pulse reference number to say the report was made the name of the Garda his badge number etc and what medications were on the prescription. I have offered to pay for a new prescription over the phone as this has never happened to me. I am been honest I am in a lot of pain and if the doctor could help me until I see him next week I would be extremely grateful as I think all staff here are amazing. I am asking the doctor too please Review the file I can email the Garda name badge number and pulse ID into the surgery. I really hope this can be rectified as it was a genuine mistake. Terrible doctor. Stay away. My partner had an appointment with him and asked me to attend with her because the previous time Dr law was rude to her..during the consultation the doctor left the office for 10 minutes then when he returned he tried to rush us. Didn't even pretent to care about what was wrong with my girlfriend and according to another doctor he prescribed inadequate medication. Terrible experience.

Finally found a great GP in Dublin city after moving here. The doctor is very professional, easy to speak to and shows empathy. All GPs in Dublin seem to rush you out the door asap but chapel Street take The time until youre satisfied time. Very happy and will be back.

I am a patient of Dr Law, it is the GP that I liked the most and that he has treated me well since I live in Ireland, the other GPs are not as good as he, Dr law has love for medicine and is very kind in consultations, that It makes you trust him, he is not cheap as it is in all of Ireland, but I paid other gp for nothing and with Dr Law I am always satisfied with how he treats me, the only thing I could ask for is that maybe in the future to extend the consultation hours and cannot attend the clinic during business hours or on weekends would be incredible, but of course that depends on the gp, in conclusion I highly recommend Dr law

I had my first visit to this clinic yesterday as I had a concussion over 2 weeks ago I went there feeling very worried that it could be something really bad and the doctor Lau walked me through what a concussion is and how I should proceed, he checked blood and brain pressure and listened to what I said and took note of everything and got me referral for a scan to make sure everything is fine. Very happy that I found this family practice in the middle of dublin. Since I'm on holidays atm, and I'm not an irish resident, i wasn't sure where to go. Making an appointment was easy on the website. Dr. Lau was very welcoming and took time to take care of my treatment and explaining how to handle the matter.

Dr Lao has been very patient and helpful but it's the system of handing out reports and getting back to patients about them. I have been waiting for one month for a report. I called every week and the only answer I got was " we will get back to you". Today my reports are supposedly in the clinic bit the lady has still not sent them to me. I was told that she has other important things at hand that need to be taken care of. This is the same lady who kept on telling me that she would call me back with the updates. Ridiculous. I have to update my insurance claim that I can't do because I am waiting for a MONTH for one report. Irresponsible staff Dr Lao really needs to look into this.
