We came to Ely Wine Bar for a late night drink, and were not disappointed! We sat outside and had our chairs dried and were given blankets by the wonderful manager. With an exquisite glass of wine sitting on the romantic streetscape of Georgian Dublin, what's not to love?! We'll be back!

Went with 5 friends, food was great and staff was very helpful in suggesting the specials and how many sides will be required for the table. Amazing service and great ambiance, never fails to impress.

We had our small wedding celebration at Ely and it was the best decision! The private dining room is tastefully decorated and intimate, and the room can be closed off for privacy during speeches etc. The food & wine was fantastic - I can’t count the amount of times our guests commented on how amazing & unique the menu was. And we were so well looked after by the team for the entire night. We’re excited to celebrate future milestones at Ely!

Excellent selection of wine, great seafood and that divine chocolate pot. Love their cheese platter as well. You can't go wrong here! Staff is amazing and friendly too

Myself and my girlfriend had an amazing food and wine secret pairing. Our server gave us in depth descriptions of each dish and the wine that came with them. The food was very flavoursome and beautifully presented. We particularly loved the extremely tender beef. Servers were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to return!

I’m reviewing as a restaurant not as a wine bar, I ate a 5.30PM on a Saturday. The location is excellent and the building and interiors are really nicely done. Very comfortable at the early hour but gets a bit louder as the evening progresses. Waitress was super helpful and pleasant perhaps tad over chatty but in a nice way. Service is superb and presentation of dishes is excellent. Portions are not large which suited us. We had salad then Blackened Cod and Hand Steak both excellent followed by two delicious deserts. Food was really excellent but menus are short I assume the selection is rotated. Really good but will we go back, have see a menu change as we picked the best dishes.

Food was really good and service as well! They only got a small menu but everything we tried was worth ordering again. I'd recommend it as a nice date spot :)

We had the bites and flights menu and it was fantastic, great portions, excellent presentation, friendly service and most importantly fantastic wines. Will be back!

Cozy location with excellent food. The wine list is virtually endless, so arrive early if you want to pair the wine yourself 😁. Great location near St Stephen's Green in central Dublin.

Food is excellent, Staff are excellent, in short they're very good at what they do. The problems come with ancillary services. The booking system is hard to understand, the website is very complicated to negotiate (beautiful as it is). Payment at the till is awkward to say the least, They should not serve Guinness until the bar staff have at least been shown what good looks like. Overall it was an effort to enjoy the really good food, staff and ambience.

Amazing dining experience, definitely recommend giving it a try! Brilliant food and wine pairings, the flavours in each dish were surprising as you wouldn’t think to make such combinations, but everything was delicious. Service was impeccable and staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, we truly enjoyed, will be coming back and recommended it to friends. 10/10

The food was fine, however everyone at our table had either finished or almost finished their steak or burger before the chips arrived. No apology, no explanation. Dessert cheese plate was taken from under the nose of diners ţo get the room set up for the next group, who no doubt would be equally rushed for the group after them. I appreciate businesses are trying to make hay at this time but its about the customer experience & this could have been much better, sorry.

Food was nice, a bit oily, but tasty. Service is good, and it's a perfect place to meet up with friends and talk as it was not loud even though it is Friday night.

First visit since Covid. New staff but they were very efficient and personal. Menu and wine list slightly different but good. Will revisit.

Exceptional from start to finish. As soon as we sat down we were relaxed. The staff were very attentive and had a great knowledge of both the food and the wine. The highlight for me was the burrata, whereas my fellow diners adored the scallops. I will be returning without a doubt.
