Very nice burgers with sardine/octopus/tuna patties. Also try the fried oysters! You get plenty of food for a reasonable price considering you are in Dubrovnik. Cute little restaurant with only few stools. The staff was very nice as well.

Coming to food, we had the fried squid and fries (not the best). The burgers we got were quite good (go for the one with Tuna, which was the best. The one with octopus was so and so) Quantities are huge, so you will definitely leave the place full ☺️ The interior is also very cute, with the cute idea of the forks decoration.

The best seafood burger you could find! The place offer seafood burger with the patties made from octopus, sardines, tuna served with French fries and onion rings. The food was really tasty. We also ordered the fried squid with potatoes salad which was really crunchy and fresh. They also have salads for those who prefer something light. The staff was so lovely and helpful. They were really attentive and gave such good vibe for the place.

Nice little shop for a snack meal( street food style) you can have can beer and burger or deep fried small fish, squid. Love the friendly service. The waitress is super smiley and helpful, they speak very good English. Barba( Street food) is hidden in a small alley. The price is Dubrovnik old town price by the way. A bit higher but acceptable with super nice staff.

Amazing seafood. The fried calamari and shrimp burgers were fresh and flavorful. Salads were great too. The shrimp in the salad tasted like the sea, refreshing and perfectly salty. Cute place with friendly ambience. Great and delightful people run the place. Will def visit again when at Dubrovnik. And also, don't forget to mark your visit with the forks!

Delicious, super fresh seafood. The oysters and squid I had for lunch came off the boat just 2 hours earlier. As a bonus, the counter staff spoke the best English I've heard so far in Croatia.

Lovely place to get some delicious seafood burgers in a very friendly place. It's in the old town, in the middle of an alleyway and is crowded at most times. So you might have to wait for some time. But the wait is worth it as the Burgers were great at relatively inexpensive pricing, compared to the food prices that we saw in Dubrovnik. I would advise against the Shrimp burger and wholeheartedly approve the Octopus one.

The most recommended restaurant in Old Town. The fried octopus is fresh, delicious and affordable! We have tried other mid to high end restaurants in this inch of the world, but this one gave me the best feeling, decorated with forks painted by tourists from all over the world. The locally produced oysters were excellent, great fresh and fried. The quantity was so large that we had to pack fried fish to take back to our room. The only problem was that there was a huge queue because it was so good.

We had to wait quite a bit to get a seat, but it was definitely worth the wait. Very funny looking street food restaurant. The staff is super nice and the food is simply delicious. We had fried squid and octopus burger (omg). Definitely recommend it!

A small street food/sea food restaurant, a gem in one of Dubrovnik's narrow streets. I came here once in April and I was delighted with everything. Pleasant ambience, friendly service and very tasty food. Now I was coming with my girlfriend, who was craving for a small fish and I knew that this was the right place in Dubrovnik for that. All our expectations were exceeded and we will definitely come back to eat here with every visit to Dubrovnik. Don't miss this place.

I visited this place because it was mentioned on the Dubrovnik travel guide and it has good review here. I was very surprised that my experience fell short of expectation. We waited for a table of 3 outside for about 15 minutes around 4.30pm. Once seated, we ordered the food quite and food arrived quite quickly. It’s all seafood but mostly fried. I had a plate of fried squid with potatoes. It was so oily that I couldn’t finish the whole plate and it wasn’t seasoned so no flavour. My son had tuna burger again the tuna is fried. My mum can’t have fried food so she had salmon and avocado sandwich which she finished all because it’s not fried. There is a tiny aircon and fan which is so weak that you can barely feel cool air. It was very hot eating there. There is only one mixed toilet. All in all, my experience didn’t live up to the good review here. Food is oily and average, not cheap either, and such uncomfortable environment to eat in on a hot day.

Ordered the octopus burger and a fried oyster. Loved the oyster. The octopus burger was decent. The patty had more filling vs octopus so wasn't to impressed with it. The service was friendly, efficient, and quick. Love the atmosphere, it's a small restaurant you'd grab a quick bite at after exploring the alleyways of the Old Town all day.

We came right as they opened at 11am for lunch. The co-owner greeted us and was very hospitable and welcoming. We were moderately hungry so we shared an Octopus Burger and tried a fried oyster - both very delicious and unique. This place has very good word of mouth and has been featured as a place to try. It lives up to the billing in the food and even better the genuine caring service. Highly recommend. In future, will save up our appetite and share the platter as it looks so delicious.

Wow, the fried fish with a side of fries was just amazing!! So so yummy, soft, well seasoned, served with delicious dips. Shrimp salad was fine, it needed some extra dressing - but balsamic vinegar fixed that! Friendly and fast service. Would highly recommend! :)

Barba was recommended to us and therefore the first food we tried in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It’s a popular food joint in Old Town. We had to wait to get a table. Casual and friendly ambience. We had fried squid and small fish and also octopus burger. The octopus burger was unexpectedly delicious. They will be featured on Netflix show “Somebody Feed Phil”. Wait for it on 18 Oct 2022

They have a really good concept with seafood only menu. The waitress was really nice and made lots of vegan recommendations in the city (vegans can only drink here, they fry the french fries in the same oil as onion rings). Husband was happy with the fried calamari. The idea with painting single-use forks is really great, very cool decoration and good fun :)

Food: Good food, fish and seafood based burgers, salads etc. no "normal" meats. Service: Very friendly service and the food came very timely. Ambiance: Tiny restaurant with very few seats. However nicely done with wooden forks one can write on who ate here and where you're from. People from all-around the world were here. Price: Quite pricey for what it is. I guess that's due to the location in the old town. Conclusion: Solid food but quite pricey. Good ambiance for everyone who likes it simple. Be aware that they don't serve normal meats.

Barba is a casual restaurant offering a small seafood-based menu of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and fried fish. To start, the Octopus Salad was a simple mixture of chopped octopus, tomatoes, red onions, and capers, and while the octopus salad itself was tasty, it was served over blackened, rotting lettuce leaves. One of the most unique dishes on the menu was the Octopus Burger, made with a crispy breaded octopus patty, a creamy sauce, lettuce, and tomato, all served on a chewy, black, sesame-studded burger bun. While the sandwich as a whole was decent, I couldn’t really tell that there was any octopus in the patty at all, as it was dominated by the crunchiness of the breadcrumbs. While the service here was friendly, the quality of the food was below par and came at touristy prices.

The ‘Squid + side dish’ (i.e. Squid tempura with potato salad) was delicious and my favourite item on the menu by far (While the squid is the highlight, don’t sleep on the potato salad!). The sardines are crisp, and the burgers are fun as well. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm and interesting. Be prepared to wait a while outside the restaurant at peak times. At least you’ll be waiting on a beautiful street in Dubrovnik!

Fast (sea)food - we really enjoyed our octopus burger and sandwich which were served in squid ink buns. The fried calamari was a bit bland but service was attentive, the portions were huge and it was a genuinely nice experience as opposed to another tourist trap! Would recommend.

Highly recommend the octopus burger and octopus salad. Salad contained tomatoes, capers, onions and of course boiled octopus. It was refreshing, sauce was not over whelming. The tuna sandwich is my least favorite. Attendant was very engaging, speak good English and explained the menu and provided honest recommendation. Quite small place but we there on good timing and able to sit comfortably. mobile signal inside store is weak. Table and chairs are comfortable enough. Store design if so approriate for the food.

Five stars is surely not enough because this little place is amazing! It is situated in a very picturesque street, the food is tasty and people working there are SO nice! Service is quick, everything from the menu is awesome. I highly recommend going there - oysters are out of this world and they even serve fried ones! Burgers are big and filled with amazing ingredients, and small fish- they taste like heaven especially paired with potato salad! If you are in Dubrovnik - go there and eat everything, so worth it!

The most unique and delicius little restaurant. It was extremely bussy, but the staff still made us feel very welcome. The oysters (family grown) was excellent, and the squid burger was worth our trip - so moist and tasty😀

A "must" of Dubrovnik. Almost in front of Placa street in the heart of the old city, this place serves great seafood experience. Highlights the Octopus burger and Octopus sandwich. Great onion rings and French fries as well. The staff were very friendly and food was served very quickly. Don't miss the chance to visit it and enjoy your food in one of the many stairs.

I recently visited Barba and was excited to try their famous octopus burger. While the service was excellent and the atmosphere cozy, I must say that the burger itself was below average. Instead of getting a juicy octopus patty, it was a deep-fried patty that didn't even showcase the octopus. On the plus side, there was plenty of mayonnaise. However, I've had better fish burgers in other parts of Croatia. If you're a fan of deep-fried dishes, then this might be the spot for you. A lot of reviews mention the tuna burger, perhaps try that.

Great seafood sandwiches - definitely try the octopus one and decent burgers (some are better than others). Seafood platter is a mixed bag but for a casual quick lunch in Dubrovnik, you won’t be disappointed here

So glad we tried out this place. The staff are so friendly and kind. Massive amounts of food on the platter! Would be more than enough for 3, we shared it between 2 of us and we’re stuffed! Delicious food in a family run place! Also, the staff spoke excellent English :)

We went a Tuesday. We saw lot of people in the line and it had a good aspect so we give it a try. In the menu, we choose the octopus sandwich and the octopus hamburger menu. They were okey but it wasn’t outstanding. Both sandwich and hamburger were big but we didn’t feel the taste of the octopus because there was a lot of sauce hidden it, neither the sauce was good. I had onion rings and French fries with menu. The waitresses were really nice and we almost didn’t have to wait.

So glad we went here as it was an amazing stop! Definitely fancy street food style and incredibly quick when you order to go. The shrimp were very very good and the platter can feed many for 56 euro.

This place was fantastic! Great, fresh seafood with a super price - very reasonable for a meal in Dubrovnik. Quick & friendly service! I recommend the Octopus burger & fried oysters. So tasty! Side note, VERY small interior w/ limited seating. Perhaps consider “take away.”

Tried an octopus burger which was quite good. The restaurant is quite small and cramped so I had a takeaway when I went back to try their octopus salad and fried small fish. This was very tasty and good value at 14 euros each. I enjoyed it so much I ordered it again a couple of days later. Service was prompt and friendly. Portions were a good size but don't be fooled by my photo as there is lettuce lining the bottom of the fish container to prevent it from getting greasy.

Exactly what we were looking for: Fresh fish and seafood place, but cheap! Great value for your money, large portions, fast food style. The service was great, too! Super friendly and helpful for us tourists! Try the fried oysters, something you don’t eat on a regular basis but super nice, very tasty!

Nice little hole in the wall. I recommend to do a takeaway and enjoy the food along the pier. Tried the octopus burger; it was not bad but I felt it lacked in the bite and texture in the patty. Could not really taste the octopus. However, the sides were great especially the onion rings and small fish.

Not much of a street food, neither a restaurant, it's rather something in-between, though it clearly gives you some proper burgers (fish or octopus-based) with decent chips and onion rings (if you choose to make it a menu of course). It tastes very well, although the burger was lacking a little sauce which would render the dish a little less dry. Otherwise than that, the exprerice was little short of perfect. Nice staff, decent setting and quickly served. Very little improvements would make it perfect. I'd recommend it anyway, right away!

Waited just a few minutes to be seated during the lunch rush. We had the fresh oysters, fried squid and octopus sandwich. Everything was delicious and the service/vibe was fantastic. Our finest bite in Dubrovnik and cheapest too. Definitely worth it

We came here the first time for a tuna burger + tuna and anchovy sandwich and it was so great that we just had to come back and try their seafood platter for two…it was equally as tasty if not even better! On our platter was two fried oysters, two pieces of cuttlefish ink bread with tuna and anchovy on, loads of crispy small fish, a refreshing octopus salad, two tempura prawns, fried octopus and calamari and a burger of our choice (we went for octopus). It also came with tartar sauce and sweet chilli dips. All the seafood was super fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. The portion was huge but everything was so delicious we had to finish (very nearly) everything! Really well priced for the quality and location, as Old Town seafood can often be so expensive. Both times we came the staff were so lovely and friendly, and very attentive to all customers. They are always very helpful when answering questions about the food, or just Dubrovnik in general. I would recommend Barba to anyone who visits Dubrovnik and would like to try some amazing food that doesn’t break the bank! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A must go! Delicious and affordable seafood. The staff are so helpful and friendly. It’s always busy but it is worth the waiting. We got the platter for 2 and it was a lot of food, so we got the burgers to take away. Prawns tempura, octopus salad and oysters were the favourites. 5/5!

👍👍 I love a surprise. Perhaps with the exception on a first date, or most birthday presents. In fact, I guess I don't really like them much.
