We’re frequent visitors to this Dome. Today will probably change our patronage. It took 53 minutes for us to get our food. After 50 minutes of waiting, I decided to inquire where our food was. I was expecting a 30 minute wait cos that’s what I was told when I ordered. When we received our food, most of it was well under normal preparation temp. Soggy cool chips. Lukewarm steak. ETC It was obvious to me that the food was sitting waiting to be served for quite a while. The next disappointment was that no apology was offered!!! Not sure if I’ll be returning, in spite of the awesome location!!!

We ordered the cheesy mac, it was soggy. The steak sandwich we ordered was bland and steak was over cooked and dried. We had to ask the counter to clean the table outside the balcony since birds were eating someone's left overs. It took a while until someone came out to clean our table. When our orders came, we asked for a small plate as we will be sharing. We waited for 5min nothing. So we just ate and improvised. Until we have eaten, finished our drinks and chatted, no one came for the 2nd plate. So we left. This was around 5pm on Friday. They close at 9pm on Friday and it wasn't overly busy. There were 3 people in the counter and 2 inside waiting food. It would be good if they are organised. Serve the current customers who just arrived and ordered food. The only thing great with our experience on that day was the water front view. Other than that, our Dome experience was very poor.

I love the location and Dome cuisine. However on recent visits over the last fed months when we went to order we were told the "kitchen is closed". Those were around 5.00pm. Last Fiday the 07 October, at 2.00pm the kitchen was closed. Only coffee/tea and cakes were available I recommend ringing first if you want anything off the menu.

Dome as expected is a fairly higher end restaurant that I don't believe is justified given a moderately steep price for the amount of food it offers. The food in question is just decent. Regardless I cannot dispute the quality of service and atmosphere it offers.

Gorgeous restaurant with 5 star views, spoilt by being a Dome. Went for dinner but the menu is appalling! I have never been to a restaurant where there was literally nothing I was willing to eat. Much of the food on the menu looks like it is frozen rather than fresh. There are few healthy options and the couple of vegetarian options sound bland. Food and drinks were dumped on the table in one spot rather than served to each diner. One of my companions had the squid salad which had hardly any squid (from freezer and fried) the salad dressing was fizzy (yes fizzy) and inedible! Gross DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Iconic location. I had my wedding reception there before the war. A pelican sailed by the boardwalk adjacent to the outdoor seating area. A beautiful fishing bird adorned the river bank as I entered. You will never disappoint any visitor bringing them here. The location makes it hard to leave.

Having a meal on the Swan River, listening to the rhythm of the nature and enjoying the breeze is so wonderful and could be a romantic for some. Great place to have coffee and chit chatting. Bring your friend and relax at this lovely place, would you?

Complete joke. Met a friend for lunch today at 12.30. Quick chat and look at the menu, went to order lunch at 12.48 to be told the kitchen closes at 12.45 so we could only order coffee and cake. How ridiculous for an establishment that is supposed to be serving lunch. Never again Dome, rippoff anyway. Went to the Left Bank for an awesome lunch. At least they know what hospitality and great service is.

Had brunch with my family here. Quality of food was excellent (coffee a bit bitter but nothing sugar couldn't fix). Service was great. A solid establishment that I would revisit or recommend if I was in the area again.

As part of my daily fitness targets, I decided to pick somewhere that would serve me breakfast take-away so I could do my walk/jog and not have to sit in an establishment afterwards, sweaty and off-putting for other customers. I went into Dome months ago and they said it was easily done and they would be happy to accomodate me. Months later and after $3-400 worth of purchases, I went in and a manager I had never seen before told me flat out no, its too busy. First of all.. So you were going to serve the people behind me? Yes? So why couldnt you serve my take away order? Regardless. Its just an order you put in and place a hold on, there's literally an option on your order pad. Either way. You have the right not to serve me but I have the right not to spend any more money there. Lets be clear. It was your establishment that said it was fine in the first place and it was for months until you came along. So $3-400 might not seem much but yearly, $1000-1500 adds up

Such a lovely place and very good food, often busy over weekend. Perfect location for breakfast, lunch, friendly catch up with friends and family brunch....

The usual Dome Cafe options set on the river, glorious in summer on a nice day. The staff are very friendly and worth a visit after a cruise through Fremantle.

What an amazing view from Domes. Had chai latte and a carrot cake. So yummy and the view was breathtaking. Chilllax atmosphere and very attentive staff. Highly recommended for families especially on fathers day or mother day.

I usually go to this Cafe and I love it. The only problem is when they are busy they might not have full attention to prepare the meal. This time, the sausage in the big breakfast was barely cooked and there was only one toast in my toast and jam, not two!

What a great place for a coffee! The view of the river is amazing and I'm happy to say the coffee was good too (I usually don't like Dome coffee) The view is the real draw card here and at night I've never found it to be busy. Well worth a visit, have a catchup with friends and enjoy the tranquillity of the river views 😀 Just adding, I didn't have food, just a pastry which was yum! Generally, Dome food isn't my favourite but I can't fault what I had.

The ambience was great.. nice to watch the sunset, but the service was really bad.. I ordered my coffee and waited 30 mins on the table until I decided to check what's going on.. I went to the counter, and no one was there, but my coffee is on the counter.. I know it's mine because it's the only coffee there. Took it and left my table number, then go.

The view and location is beautiful. Try for a seat near the windows. The would have to be the worst run Done i have been in. Coffee's were all Lukewarm/to cold. The cakes were all like rocks maybe in Fridge to long not very fresh. The table was not clean/wiped down. Male toilets door was discussing, floor was dirty. Parking is free but limited if coming at a busy time. Good access for mobility impaired. Nice area for a stroll.

It's one of the most scenic places to dine in Perth. It was busy Sunday, food came very late and cold.

Great views and relaxing location. However the coffee is on the wrong side of ordinary. The scrambled eggs on toast were far inferior to any truck stop in the outback. Of Turkey. Powdered synthetic mush - it didn't even hint of egg. They forgot my side order of mushrooms, but I regretted reminding the waiter. They were tasteless and bland. I feel unwell just thinking about that meal. My boys liked their smashed avo.

Been well over a month where kitchen closes around or before 1pm. Ridiculous. For what? Well known hard to find staff but at least try. Obviously making coffees and cakes is better for profit than having kitchen staff. This is damaging the Dome brand as taking customers for granted. Very poor and opportunistic behaviour.

Great venue but i have an issue of one person taking up a 4 seat booth for hours with laptop. Difficult to get friends together in a comfortable place to eat n chat especially when two have a disability resulting from a stroke. This morning two booths with one person for over an hour. Weekends bad too.

Beautiful setting and friendly staff but that's as far as it goes. The worst cup of coffee ever..like warm milk with a slight coffee flavour.. this is not the first time so I will not bother again and the same with my husband as he could not drink his at all Must lift their game !!

The staff I interacted with were great and the location is nice. However, the toilets and bathroom need a deep clean - beyond a quick clean and wipe over. Need to get into the nooks and cranny’s. This is on the owners and not the staff as it is clear that the bathrooms have had a wipe over.

The Dome is always a great and easy place to grab a feed or a coffee. The food menu is large and has a great variety. I love when I can get a breakfast meal at lunch time and the food was spot on. Great location on the water with a nice balcony outside to sit and eat or an air-conditioned inside area. All up a good location, great food and a relaxing atmosphere, I will definitely visit back again.

I haven't been here for a long while but love the location and setting. My food (avocado smash with salmon) however was awful. The avocado is tasteless and the salmon doesn't seem fresh. My friends chips were similarly awful. Looks like a coffee only venue from now on.

Would give 0 stars if possible. My family and I have tried on multiple occassions to order food and always disappointed that the kitchen is closed. Staff aren't friendly. And the coffee is extremely average. Save yourself the time and go to one of the many other domes around that are much nicer!

Took mum there because of the location and view of the river and hoping to get something to eat. Kitchen closed at 1.15 only food were cakes. Coffee not the best this time. They were closing at 4.pm I understand about staff problems but really, put a few toasties together, surely staff can toast them up.

😐 Food was lovely, though there was a complication with my meal in which I was given the wrong order. The service staff had a bit of an attitude when I told them they messed up my order. Was snarkily asked if I wanted to send my order back then the server walked off in a huff but besides that, a nice...
