    This office is really horrible in everything. We had an appointment at 9, we showed up at 845 but we had to wait until 920 for the very first employee to show up. She was so lazy and didn't even bother to say good morning or sorry for ruining your morning by being late. And worst than this she gave us a hard time with the paper work. This is our first time here, but other patients who came and left because the office was empty, said that this office has this reputation of being always late.

    Just took my son which has a fever and cough and not feeling good at all. I explained his father tested positive for covid and they turned him away saying to take him to urgent care. How do you turn a patient away thats in your office? Iā€™ve been with this medical group for 22 years. Always felt with the best doctor there DR. ANAM once he passed I would take them to secaucus. No complaint either. Now I decided to come to Edison since itā€™s closer to the house and I would never return knowing you turned my child away!!! And they had the nerve to say they were over booked with no one in the waiting area. I hope no one dies under their care!!!

    I went to the office for flu shot for my son. During that time, the staff asked to get annual exam for my son. I asked that there must be no charge and the staff confirmed there would be no charge as it was preventive. After getting exam and blood work, I received bill for the blood work and also for some exams. The charges for the exams were taken care by riverside account people, but the charge for blood work by quest was not taken care. I called the staff and also talked with Quest for long time but they repeatedly told that this is my insurance but they don't understand that doctor should not write for the tests that are not preventive in nature. This is the serious mistake from the office and doctor that they don't know what tests are preventive for the respective age of the child. Later on I emailed to the office manager and I got call from Quest to repeat the same things. I explained the same thing and then after despite a reminder email to account manger, no response received. This is the worst experience with riverside. I had good experience with riverside jersey city and therefore I went to riverside Edison, but unfortunately the staff is not enough qualified here in compared to other facility or their intention is pure business whether patient need it or not.

    This practice group is by far the worst possible service entity. The front desk staff have no organization. Dr. Taubman is only interested in billing and not providing care. Every time I try to find a solution from the staff, there is finger pointing between the doctors and the front desk staff. Virtual appointments are non-existent with hold times ranging from 40 minutes to an hour and a half- often, the front desk staff forget to call to schedule the actual appointment. Most recently, I was on hold for 40 minutes and was charged for the appointment out of pocket because the staff forgot to verify my insurance. After paying the fee, the doctor told me she couldnā€™t help me on the virtual appointment and then blamed me that no one asked her if she actually couldā€”but, her front desk staff consulted her a month prior to which she directed that I schedule a virtual appointment. This practice is unethical and their follow up is predatory in regards to money rather than providing actual supportive care. No one should use this practice if they want competent care. The level of incompetence is beyond comprehension. So glad that I will never have to deal with this lack of professionalism or incompetence at this practice ever again.

    Their customer service is horrible. I tried to make an appointment with doctor but can never get through to anyone. Phones just keep ringing and no one answers I had tried 15-20 times but no response. It was a Friday and had to show my child for a small emergency and cannot afford to wait until Monday. Horrible customer services Re: Billing. Every time it is a surprise for me. Not sure when and how much bill I get.

    Avoid. Long phone wait time. Long wait time in the office. Irresponsible and unfriendly staff. Doctors rush you. My child was exposed to COVID. The school said get COVID PCR or quarantine. We decided to get the PCR. It took them five days to get the result to me. We had to quarantine instead.

    BE AWARE OF THIS MEDICAL GROUP (EDISON, NJ), PATIENTS ARE THEIR HOMEWORK. I am giving them one star because I can't mark non. I saw the suppose Dr. named Shontelle Berfet because I'm a high blood pressure patient and take medications for it. The reason for my visit is when I do exercise my blood pressure drop under normal levels and she told me to stop taking one of the medications but she never write this down on the record, so it tells you that patients they see is part of their homework and they practice their studies with you. As she didn't write down what she told me, what would happen if I stop taking the medication she told me not to and something happen to me? With no record she could say she never ask me to do it. When I saw my cardiologist he ask to reduce the doses of that medication. Other thing I saw the suppose Dr. Berfet 2 weeks ago and knowing my blood pressure condition didn't do my refills and ask me to pay a consultation to get my medications refill. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR POCKET STAY AWAY FROM THIS MEDICAL GROUP. BE SAFE STAY AWAY.

    WORST PLACE EVER!!!! Horrible staff! Talks very rudely to patients, they have no sympathy for patients. I wish I could give 0 stars! Iā€™m a Medical Assistant as well and I have never treated patients the way they treat patients hereā€¦all the MAā€™s seems like fresh out of high school with zero manners!

    This riverside medical group is simply the worst. I don't know how else to describe them. They had my incorrect address, which was utilized for the bills they sent me and Quest Diagnostics (for my blood work). Both bills were sent to a debt collection agency, even though I had been into the office to visit subsequent to these bills being sent and not once did they mention the outstanding balances. Additionally, when they sent my insurance coverage details to Quest Diagnostics for my blood work - they had my insurance ID wrong and I received a $1,700 from Quest. I had to call Quest to give them the correct insurance ID and they sent me an updated bill. I would avoid at all costs.

    Worst service ever !!!!! Never ever go to Edison office!!! For the first time in the past 6 years, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH PEDIATRIC SERVICE !!! I went for my kids COVID vaccine. The lady in the front desk is keep on texting on her phone and didnā€™t even respond properly when I was waiting in the counter . After waiting for sometime, she gave few forms and asked me fill out . I filled the forms and again I was waiting in the counter infront of her for sometime. Again she was texting on her phone, talking to other staff in the front desk and didnā€™t even respond. When I lost my patience, I asked her to send us inside, then she responded. The same thing happened for the person before me. He was waiting for very long time in the counter just to Schedule the next appointment. They are allowing the people who are sick and came for COVID test in the same waiting area where people came for COVID vaccine. Because of their very late response in the front desk, They are making healthy people to expose to sick people. In the room, the nurse who came to give the vaccine doesnā€™t even know the basic manners on how to treat the patients. She was so rude and not moving at all from her place. I used to go to Riverside for past many years. Usually they provide very good service. But recently I see all the staff members are new in Edison Pediatrics office and they are giving very bad service.I never recommend anyone to go to Edison office. Instead go to Secaucus or some other office.

    The doctor is fine but it is always a challenge to call the office for anything like scheduling appointments, forms, questions anything. Their IVR redirects you to wrong places, they don't see sick kids, they hang up the phone on you mid sentence and they donā€™t email forms or anything. I have been forced to visit urgent cares very often because they donā€™t let you in for normal things that should be seen by a childā€™s PCP. This is a very unprofessional facility with complete disregard for your childā€™s wellbeing. Its even worse after they became optum from riverside.

    I took my kid here at Riverside Medical Group now known as Optum, as he was sick with fever and dizziness complains. When we were waiting in the examination room, my kid vomited, i cleaned him up and asked the nurse ā€˜Smiley Hernanadezā€™ to change our examination room. Instead the nurse demanded that we should clean the room first and then only he will be seen by the doctor. When asked that is there any cleaning staff on the premises who can help us, they refused. My son was suffering with 102.5 fever and vomited, he was NOT seen by the doctor until i cleaned the room and floor by myself alone. What kind of clinic they are running, if they donā€™t even have the cleaning staff to address with such patient accidents? I think this could have been better handled by the nurse ā€˜Smiley Hernanadezā€™ by shifting us to other room and at least let the doctor see the patient meanwhile i am clean their room(which should have been ideally done by their cleaning staff).

    DO NOT GO HERE. They made me wait an hour after my appointment time just to tell me they hadnt checked my paper work and it was incomplete. They gave me 2 pieces of the same paper... So i left. Do not bring these incompetent idiots your business. It was not even busy. There were only 3 people in front of me when i arrived 10 minutes early. The front desk staff was also incredibly uninformed and one lady had the audacity to tell me not to be impatient when they were ALREADY an hour late... Incredibly unprofessional

    Waiting time is so horrible I went with my kids for physical and waited for 2 hours and at the end I couldnā€™t see the doctor because I had another appointment then I rescheduled second appointment and also waited for more than 3 hours. This is terrible.

    Absolutely terrible. The wait time is too much. My family and I always disliked this medical group but decided it to give it one more chance because of the blood work. The lady in charge of the blood work is very good at what she does. Though the rest is nothing compared to the blood work. The staff at the front desk on the phone said that they take the insurance that we currently have since we changed it, but when went there to check again it was a completely different story. VERY unprofessional. Donā€™t risk it coming here itā€™s definitely not worth the wait.

    Dr Satwani is the best dr to send your kids to . She is ontop of my daughterā€™s medical health and also referring her to specialist. Just wanted to say thankyou. Thanks to Bina always welcoming and very friendly with good communication skills not forgetting others ladies at the front desk . Best place to take your kids.

    Now known as Optum Waited 1hr to be called in. Waited another hour to be seen. (Timed) Waited another 30 mins for lab work to be done as all of the lab staff was out for lunch. There should be 2 lab reps or someone to replace her during break!!! Scheduled for 11am. Walked out 3pm. My doctor (shantelle) however makes up for the wait, as she welcomes you joyfully and is empathetic to hear what you have to say and doesnā€™t rush you out. Front desk staff is very unprofessional. Kamal was handing out my referrals and read the names out loud. Woman- no one has to know youā€™re giving me a GYN referral or whatever else. She also spent too much time on her phone and had me waiting at the window while she finished her conversation and scrolling and logged out her phone. No folders are given out along with your paperwork and she suggested I take my paperwork to the restroom as I also hold my pee test and etc. how logical would it be ? Please provide paperwork at the end of visit. Also, had to ask for a referral list otherwise theyā€™re not sharp enough to provide you with one. Update: Kamal called me back 2hrs laterā€¦ telling me I ā€œleft my referrals because maybe you didnā€™t stop by for themā€- I did stop by. I even went back in to request a provider list!!!! Sheā€™s just too much on her phone. They also have my incorrect address in the system. They donā€™t bother confirming information with you. Theyā€™re straight up milkers.

    Horrible placeā€¦. Waited 1 hour plus for an appointment.. Care is not upto the mark as wellā€¦. I have had terrible experiences at saddle brook and Secaucus pediatric locations as well. So I assume that the group itself is disorganized, pathetic and unprofessionalā€¦.

    Very difficult to get hold of test orders. Their call center is worst. There is no wat to reach the office, the call gets directed to call center who can hardly help answer any of the questions. Just keep going in circles. Itā€™s been over a month and I couldnā€™t get my annual physical examination completed.
