We used to love their food but over the years the quality and quantity degraded. We ordered an appetizer (full tandoori chicken) and were given four pieces of chicken for $28. If you enjoy low quality food and hygiene this is your place. Ignorant staff and owner.

Food is okay. Employees are cordial and attentive. Place is clean enough to spend good time with friends and family. Unlike New York City, parking lot is big enough to park many vehicles at a time if you are going to have a party there.

A delightful experience from the moment you walk in the door. (Located at the old Carraba's at the Shore Mall site) Beautifully decorated (I had my eye on 2 prints on the wall, that aren't even for sale Lol) with plenty of room. Excellent service. A beautiful menu full of all sorts of flavors and tastes and the staff is more than happy to explain them to you if you're new to Indian cuisine like me. Dive in! They accept cash and cards. There are a few stairs in the front of the establishment in the event of a wheelchair and while I didn't see a ramp, I'm sure if you call they will be happy to assist you. A wonderful experience. Enjoy!!!!

Great food, good size portions, friendly and attentive service. Tandoori chicken was moist and tender, pakora were crispy but not hard. Palak Paneer had plenty of paneer cubes in it. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Will definitely repeat

Authentic Indian food. We ordered Paneer Makhani,Garlic Naan and Garlic Cheese Naan for the kids. The paneer curry was perfect (Non spicy, as requested). The Naan was very soft. We also ordered Shaam Savera , the kofta in the Shaam Savera curry was very tasty. Although the gravy base was same for paneer curry and Shaam Savera (with the only difference of being one being baby mild and other being medium). For the ones who eat spicy, Do try the chilly garlic Cheese Naan. It was just perfect - chilly, cheesy and soft. Finally ordered veg biryani - It had awesome taste, flavour and aroma. Overall the food was very tasty, My family and I were very happy and contented with the food. The Ambience was also very awesome. Overall had an amazing experience. Strongly recommend one to visit this restaurant!

Amazing food as well as great service and atmosphere. We stopped over here for lunch and ordered veg/non-veg items. Each dish was very flavorful, balanced and authentic. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and rather generous portions. Sam provided great service, nowadays such excellent service is not common, even at fancy places! There were several other families dining and people were just having a good time. Recommend highly.

Ordered Nizam's today after a long time and was so excited to takeout for Father's Day and in hopes of experiencing some sort of normalcy from being at home for so long! I ordered 3 orders of biryani, 2 butter chickens, and some naan bread. My order came out to $94. I was shocked but really wanted Indian food so I overlooked it. I took it home, excited, and started taking the food out of their containers and giving everyone a heaping scoop of biryani and butter chicken. It was then I noticed something in the spoonful I put on my plate. No, not a hair. Worse. A bug. Disappointed for my wallet, and disgusted for myself and everyone else. Do better Nizam's and if you're looking to eat here, don't and if you do, sift through your food and hope you don't get an insect.

It’s a traditional Indian restaurant that serves authentic northern Indian cuisine. Location was very convenient to get there and ample parking spaces around the restaurant. Nicely decorated with Indian styled artwork. Foods that we have ordered were chicken biryani, lamb and goat biryani, tandoori chicken with butter nun and paneer makhani! At the end we took kheer as desert. All of the items were delicious and mouthwatering! We enjoyed our food and we took away the leftovers as the food quantity was huge! Staff were nice and professional. Overall experience was great 👍

Had dinner recently. The restaurant is nice. Service was okay. The biriyani was okay. I had better. Mango lassi, butter chicken, chicken 64 was good. Mixed grill was okay. Don’t know why they have shrimp in mixed grill menu. We also had chai. Which was okay too. In my opinion compared to the price, food was okay but not great.

We were looking for a good Indian restaurant in good part of the town in AC but nothing came up so we found this restaurant closest to AC at 14mins drive. We were pleasantly surprised with great location and parking. Our server was Sam and she took care of us like she already knew us. The service was simply GREAT! Sam recommended great menu items and went back to the kitchen to ensure that everything was cooked per our taste. This has been the best Indian food we have had in NJ. The portions were large enough and right for the price. Not sweet curries or super spicy with garam masalas like typical NJ restaurants. We highly recommend anyone visiting AC to try this place on their way in or out of AC. Thank you Sam and the staff for making our meal memorable. We will definitely visit Nizam when we are in AC

The food is delicious and the staff were very friendly. My cousin and I got the chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka masala, garlic naan and mango lassi. Mango lassi was super smooth and rich. Garlic naan was a bit too oily for my taste but the tikka masala’s were delicious! Apparently they have a Sunday buffet option. Ample amount of parking!

Warm and welcoming staff. Anup was a wonderful host. The food was splendid. Chef Sayed is amazing. The Masala, Curry lamb was tender and flavorful. The Tandoori chicken moist and lovely smoked flavor. The Naan assorted bread basket was a great start. Wonderful place. BYOB. I highly recommend and will return to try their other selections.

The food was delicious and fresh! The staff was helpful and very kind. The only problem was the food was spicy even when we requested no spice. I honestly think that's the difference between an American eating Indian food and not expecting any spice. I'm not sure it's actually able to not have spice.

Harvey was our server and he did an amazing job at customer service and making sure our order was correct. We were a huge party of 16 and he made sure each and everyone was satisfied with their food. Haven’t seen a hard worker like this in a long time. It was beyond excellent. Food quality and quantity was also great.

We are here for buffet on Sun Sep 11, 2022. Only limited items on buffet and food quality sucks. After just having a samosa someone showed up and ask for the bill!!! Worse place I ever visited.

The food and atmosphere were amazing at Nizam's. We've been looking for a good Indian restaurant and this one is a gem. It's about a 25min drive for us but we'll worth it. The staff was courteous and accommodating to our dining needs. Service was fast and food was outstanding. We went on a Friday night and although it seems to be a popular spot we were seated immediately. Will definitely visit again.

The Nizam's has been our regular dining place for many years, and the new management has made it even better than before! The food is consistently delicious. Sam has been our server many times and she provides great, friendly and professional service. She is always ready to help select appetizers and entrees when we bring new friends along. We always have found the service staff to be terrific! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! We love this place!

What an amazing first experience with Indian cuisine! We're so glad we chose The Nizams! We ordered lamb kabob for an appetizer and for dinner we ordered chicken tandoori and chicken tikka. It was so tasty and delicious. The bread was a garlic bread with this amazing sauce. For dessert we ordered rice pudding and a cheese ball/pudding dessert..... AMAZING. Everything was. The cleanliness of the restaurant, the friendly, very caring staff, the amazing food and dessert, you couldn't ask for a better place to try! 10 out of 10! Amazing!

Food was great and made me sweat with all that spice and heat. Celebrated my nephew's graduation here. He wanted indigenous food. Sadly I did not really took a picture of my food but it was really good even for the most pickiest eaters well except for my mom she just ate the nan bread and just didn't want to eat her food because she don't like spicy foods but I'm always down for any type of culture foods I'm open to it. But she likes to make all her grandkids happy so that's why she put up with it. I had some falafel dipton spicy soup with jasmine rice Then I ordered a chai tea with the samosa appetizers my nephew got biryani with shrimp and my sister got the same thing but I think was chicken and my mom ordered the eggplant that she didn't like how it was presented because it was chopped up which I loved it but Mama was like nah. My other nephew order the spicy chicken wings which was so good very hot Then we got dessert mine's was covering condensed milk some cottage cheese pistachio thing and my nephew got the ice cream He didn't like it but I did I like sweets. He really loves the lassa mango drink. He ordered 2.

The food I tried was absolutely delightful! The flavors were rich and aromatic, making every bite a true delight. Each dish was delicious. We ordered Paneer Makhani, Shaam Savera and Dal Makhani. I had one of the best Dal Makhni in NJ. Shaam Savera gravy was awesome. The naan was perfect. The service was attentive, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. Aj was really nice. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their extensive menu. They are serving one of the best Indian Food in NJ, worth driving there. If you are visiting Atlantic City or Ocean City and Crave for Indian food, you must stop by there.

Truly don’t know how anyone gave this wonderful establishment less than 5 stars. If you love Indian food or always wanted to try it this is your place! Our waiter was absolutely wonderful, hilarious and attentive. I had the samosa as an appetizer, the butter chicken and 3 different types of nan and it was DELICIOUS. Also the Kheer for dessert was fabulous. Will definitely be making the trip down just for this food experience

One of the best food I had. Everything we ordered, paneer tikka masala, malai kofta, naan, vegetables pakora was good. Gobi Manchurian can be improved little bit. Services need whole new level of upgrade. It was 5 pm when we went you can even see restaurant was almost empty. We ordered buttermilk (salted lassi) and we liked it. Never had that good in 11 years I have been in usa in restaurant. We ordered three more and server didn't seems to be happy. Then we order one more as one of my friend also like. He said please order all at once. He did same with naan. We can't order all at once with out knowing how your food taste and for god shake, it was only 5pm. So please please, guests like to order as they eat. So please tell service boys to not rush in ordering everything at once.

First time near Atlantic City, was trying to find a good Indian food place. Came across the nizams.. we ordered tandoori first night which was excellent. Really good job on tandoori..where things went south was biryani.. less than mediocre, rice quality was bad, the masala was bad.. goat pieces were chewy.. we literally threw more than half.. My roommate specified a spicy biryani.. they had put chilly flakes on the rice.. this was so ridiculous.. “its a Hyderabadi dum biryani” my roommate is from there.. he would rather give negative stars for it. Overall: 2 (just for tandoor items)

  • 5/5 Michelle A. 4 years ago on Google
Authentic Indian food in a pretty and comfortable restaurant setting. My mouth waters the moment I set foot inside this place and take in the wonderful aroma. You're greeted and seated promptly. Keep in mind, they serve authentic Indian food so it's quite spicy. If you can't take such heat make sure to be adamant about your spice level when ordering. Sometimes, though, the food comes out very spicy anyway so just keep that in mind. I do wish they had more mild dishes on the menu. Otherwise, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. BYOB too!

Food is always great when I go here. Don’t listen to the 1 star reviews they are talking nonsense. If you want flavorful food, go here. The lunch buffet on the weekends is a recommendation mainly because it fills you up, thus allows you to try many items on the menu that they have to offer. Overall best Indian food in South Jersey.

I've been going here for nearly 7 years, ever since they were at their smaller location. I love the food and everyone that works there. They treat me like family and I couldn't be happier with their service. Best to get the buffet on Wednesdays and Weekends. Great variety and selection. I will admit shortly after they moved to the new location their buffet had a minor lapse but they recovered and ive been happy with their return to their tradition.

Food Taste: B Food Taste compared to other Desi restaurants (Philly / North Jersey): C- Food Appearance: B+ Service: D (there is really only one real waitress here who understands what service even means). This is actually a pretty decent restaurant, specially because there is not much competition. It deserves a solid 3 star review because food is decent but service is okay at best. If you never had Pakistani/Indian food, you will actually enjoy this place. If you have a lot of experience with Pakistani/Indian food, you will find this place decent at best. Now onto the reason I decided to give it 2 stars instead of 3. The owner of this place is probably one of the worst people you will meet (unless you are not Desi, then he will show you a lot of love). Last time I ordered from this place was actually just a few appetizers (bill was slightly over $50). He happened to be nearby when I went to pick up the food and the waitress informed him I was picking up the samosa chat (a delicious appetizer). His response was "ofcourse, what else" in a very condescending tone like I was some cheap village boy. The real irony here is the service that this restaurant provides can be compared to that of "cheap village service". I have had a similar incident with him, so I certainly won't make the mistake of ordering from here again (not losing much business tbh). This owner is one of those "village boys" who came from poverty and thinks he has made it big with an okay restaurant business, and he loves to show it.

Some of the the best Indian food I've had around this area. Their biriyani is too good. The staff is wonderful and they made sure that I had a pleasant dinner experience. The food reminded of back home. I've also had the pleasure of trying their amazing Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. They low key have a decent Playlist of desi music as well.
