A "Real Eyeopener"! This compact "old town" area of Southeast Colmar is a place "not to be missed" by visitors! It gets its name due to the "historic houses" built on both sides of the small, meandering, Lauch River.... and the "fairy tale vibe". The area is wonderful to walk around-- and has cobbled streets, colourful "half-timbered" houses, and a "covered market". It can also be seen by boat. It has been awarded by TripAdvisor the esteemed "Certificate of Excellence". It is indeed well worth a visit. It is no wonder that it has been rated as one of the "top of places" to visit/things to do, while in Colmar. It will definitely add to one's memories of the visit. It was used by a family of four. It had a nice view along the river and was a quiet and romantic place at night. The building itself is very old, but the inside has been beautifully renovated and the kitchen has all the appliances, utensils, and tableware, and it's very clean! The car was parked on the street in front of the hotel, and after carrying our luggage we moved to a nearby parking lot. I think the location is great as there are marches and restaurants right next door. The owner, madam, spoke English, and although we arrived late at around 8:30 p.m., she waited for us in front of the hotel after we spoke on the phone, and we were able to receive the keys. Ta.

Lovely time walking around Home Little Venice there's so much more than the picturesque bridge's to see with a few lovely restaurants along the canal, and little boat trip back and forth . It's only a short walk from here to the indoor market . My recommendations would be early evening when all the lights come on for beautiful pictures .
