Love the service! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Some of them are fluent in English (Also menu available in English). The food is simply delicious. Especially try any of the flammkuchen, Escargots à l’Alsacienne (snails in garlic, butter & parsley) and one of the desserts. Definitely recommend it!

Food was good. We had a complaint and Chef was super unfriendly. This guy really should get a Training how to treat customers or change his job. If you can avoid this guy or he gets exchanged this is a pretty good ecperience

One of the most beautiful and famous villages in the region. The restaurant was suberp. The menu is mix of local foods which contains both French and German backgrounds. We tried Baeckaoffa and Choucroute which were both advised by our landlady. We also tried Escargots and Foie Gras as a starter. Regional house wine was also great. Staff was attentive. Perfect night in a perfect location.

Im Zentrum des wunderschönen Ortes Eguisheim lädt das Restaurant Caveau du Eguisheim in einem historischen Haus zum Verweilen ein. Die Karte ist geprägt von elsässischen Gerichten, die Küche ist gut bürgerlich. Das Entrecote vom Kalb mit Morscheln war zart, das Hähnchen Cordon Bleu mit Münsterkäse schmackhaft. Einzig der Heidelbeerkuchen war zu kalt und auch deshalb wenig fruchtig. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Wer die elsässische Küche liebt, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Packed during the December, the food was quite good in my opinion. Some of it is basic, but given how busy they were it was certainly acceptable.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Caveau D'Eguisheim and, without a doubt, it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Nestled in a stunning medieval building right in the heart of Eguisheim's main town square, this gem of a restaurant offered a unique and enchanting atmosphere that felt both personal and familiar. As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who made sure we felt right at home throughout our entire visit. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and it was incredible to dine in a place with such rich history. The menu had a great variety of dishes, but what stole the show was the true burning crème brûlée. It was set aflame after arriving at our table, creating a mesmerizing and memorable experience. The taste was just as spectacular - the perfect balance of creamy sweetness and a slightly burnt, caramelized sugar crust. Our evening at the Caveau D'Eguisheim was nothing short of magical. The combination of the historic setting, attentive service, and exquisite cuisine made it an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this enchanting spot to anyone visiting Eguisheim.

Dropped by without a reservation and felt lucky to get a table. Really nice ambiance paired with delicious food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and were able to speak English which made our life a little easier. Lots to choose from and a solid wine list too!

Sehr nettes Restaurant für authentisches elsässisches Essen. Freundliches, lustiges und gut gelaunten Personal. Plus Punkte gibt es für das vegetarische Menü und die Möglichkeit zum Beispiel das Gratin ohne Speck zu bestellen. Es gibt zwar keine Terasse, dafür sitzt man aber drinnen Sehr gemütlich.

Quick to be seated (did have a reservation) which was lucky given it was full. Food arrived quickly and was very enjoyable! Staff also very friendly - can’t see how the negative reviews could have occurred during our visit.

Fantastic restaurant in the centre of Eguisheim; we had to queue up a little but it was also a Saturday night. The service is very friendly and they offer fairly traditional plates from the Alsaze tradition. I have tried the 5 meat place with krauts and it was very nice :) I would definitely recommend this place If you are in town or in the area

Sehr lieber Empfang, tolle Mitarbeiter, alle sehr bemüht. Essen war durchgehend sehr lecker. Hatten Schnecken, Sauerkraut mit 5 Fleischsorten, Gratin, Eintopf mit Fleisch, Creme Brulee . Weinauswahl war auch sehr gross. Der Aperitif der empfohlen wurde, war auch sehr lecker . Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Steak und Pommes lauwarm. Aperitif kam nach der Vorspeise. Auf die Hauptgetränke fast 1 Stunde auch nach erneutem Anfragen gewartet. Manchmal wäre es einfach besser, man schließt ein paar Tische. Servicekräfte zwar bemüht aber verständlicherweise überfordert. War die bislang mit Abstand schlechteste Restauranterfahrung in der Region 😔

Nice restaurant in the centre of Eguisheim. The food was overall good, but the service has to be improved. We arrived at 6.45, after booking a table, and for 3 gratinés of pomme de terre we waited for 1.30h. Must be said that the restaurant was crowded, however the waiting time was unacceptable; we were the first to enter in the restaurant. At the moment of paying, we pointed out to the lady that the only issue we had was the long waiting time, and instead of saying a simple sorry, she just said in a very rude way that it's because of the many people present at the restaurant. Again, she didn't even apologize. Some improvements has to be done to the service/cuisine. All the people around us were also waiting for a long time. If you are understaffed, just don't accept so many people. That's a shame because the food was good and the restaurant itself is very cute. Will not come back.

Fantastic restaurant. They have set menus but we decided order from the menu since we were not hungry. FOOD: everything was great. Had to try duck foia, potato al forno, and escargot. Escargot was fantastic and six was not enough. Duck foia was good but I think I liked it more with bread. Potato al forno was filling and tasty. This meal was perfect for two of us. SERVICE: excellent service. Friendly and accommodating. LOCATION: perfect location in the middle of the town. Can't miss it.

Good food and friendly service.

On a saturday evening, the food was ok but we had to wait 30 min between the moment we were seated and we could order anything (drink and food). And then again another 40 min between the starter and the main course.

This place is nothing above 4 stars in rating. The fish was expensive and chewy. The portion was small. The creme brulee was cold, the sugar was caramelized long before serving and not at the serving. The waiter got our order wrong. We ordered cheese and never got it. Nice, long list of regional wines.

A classic dining experience with traditional local dishes. Main courses were really good and deserts were pretty decent. Lovely wine from a huge selection, although it took a while to arrive. They seemed a bit short-staffed but we had a very pleasant evening.

So delicious! I would have fist-bumped that pork knuckle if doing so wasn’t so risky COVID-wise.

One of the most amazing dinners I have had. Super nice service and great local food and wine. A big plus that you can bring your dog. Simply amazing!

Unforgetable evening Caveau d'Eguisheim is a not-to-miss-place when you visit Eguisheim! The atmosphere is authentical, but modern. It is a huge restaurant, but if you are there, you can feel you are the most important guest. Waiters and waitresses are so fast, so kind and create a happy feeling for the guests. They are always there in right time, they are also very good at wine recommendation - the restaurant has a really good winelist from Alsatian and other French wines. The food was excellent, we chose the traditionals (choucroute and coq au Riesling) Many thanks Fatiha and Bertrand for this unforgetable evening!

Very nice restaurant in the centre of Eguisheim. Personnel was very gentle and found us a table immediately even if we did not book. Typical dishes and wines from Alsace. Very good quality.
