I absolutely loved staying here as a solo woman traveler. The staff works overtime to take care of people staying here. The delicious breakfast, safety and convenience of the location, the decor and the friends I made here - I’ll remember for lifetimes. It’s so close to Khan-e-Khalili and some of the Old Cairo gems. I’m definitely staying here again and telling everyone to stay here!

What a find! Do yourself a favor and stay at this unique hotel. You can observe and even take lessons from traditional artisans in their workshops on the ground floor. The staff really went above and beyond; they took our kid to the doctor and the pharmacy AND made her soup when she got strep throat. There's a lovely rooftop, a communal kitchen, a courtyard fountain, small museum, and little seating nooks scattered everywhere throughout this lovingly restored 200-yr-old property nestled within the medieval walled section of the city. The rooms are stylish and make for an exceedingly comfortable stay (arctic AC and steaming hot water, if you're so inclined, and comfy beds). PLUS, you could easily spend a whole week (or more) just soaking up everything within walking distance, historic structures, mosques, winding alleyways, at least a half a dozen different markets. Even the serene al-Azhar Park is reachable on foot from here.

We stayed here for 3 nights and ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE PLACE! Sandrine, the Canadian owner is lovely and very helpful and all the staff working there were so amazing. Nura made a great breakfast and took care of our rooms. The rooms are amazing and have a local touch to it and there is also a really nice museum inside and an art center! I would totally stay here again!!!

Bed and breakfast in the heart of the northern islamic quarter. Easy to communicate with in advance, early check-in before noon without any problems and friedly staff. If you prefer a more personel stay, it's your spot!

😠 Filthy rooms, noisy, overly talkative owner turns out to be dishonest too. I left a semi-negative review on the Booking app, but honestly stated that the location was good and staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner subsequently said I never stayed there in an attempt to prevent my review fro...
