Free camping. No toilets or any facilities on site. Electricity only with a special card which is useless for foreign guests. But very nice little village. Take a walk to the gorge. Public toilet about 350m from site.

FREE campsite right by the water surrounded by beautiful mountains and sheep. Village has a population of either 12 or 23 depending on which source you look at, so the camp residents almost double the town population. Very small, limited grass area for tents, but a few more gravel spots for campers with electricity. No facilities (kitchen, shower, etc) and toilets are the public village toilets on top of the hill (far walk). But it’s free, since camping anywhere is illegal in the Faroes (although I’ve seen a few do it and it seems tolerated as long as you clean up and stay out of the way) it gets 5 stars for that alone!

Toller, kostenloser Platz mit schöner Aussicht für ein paar Wohnmobile. Kleine Zeltwiese. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Sehr sauberes WC, Frischwasser und Entsorgung an der Kirche, ca. 300m entfernt. Strom muss über die Touristinfo in Runavik gekauft werden.

Wir waren begeistert! Der Platz ist kostenlos, direkt am Wasser, ruhig gelegen, sauber. Man steht in zwei Reihen auf Schotter. Toilette, Ver- und Entsorgung ca. 200 m entfernt. Man kann gut mit ca. 12 WoMos stehen, allerdings gibt's leider auch hier diejenigen, die meinen, sich quer stellen zu müssen, so dass sie Platz für zwei einnehmen. Zelte passen auf die Wiese.

Priest not so welcoming here even though church was open. Declined our request to make a prayer on a Sunday.... But the view and monuments were lovely.

Great location, pretty small camping site, has a toilet but unfortunately not a shower. Hence, 4 stars.

The only camping location for free on the Faroe Islands. There are 2 clean public toilets nearby but no further services like showers, groceries etc. Anyway,…quiet and secluded place

Had a great time here with unbelievable weather. Tent space could be bigger but otherwise it’s a nice community of campers here on busy days. The toilets are a small walk away but otherwise very clean and well taken care of considering it’s free to stay here.

Elduvik is not mentioned much, but definitely worth your time. Great views of big hills around Gjogv and the western steep slopes of Kalsoy.
