One of the most unique museums and exhabitons in Ankara. Erimtan is a private archeology museum which is located around the citadel of Ankara. The entrance is 7 liras for adults. Aside from the exhibition, the museum cafe is pretty cosy and the food is tasty. Moreover, there are many workshops or conferences organized by the museum.

Disappointed! This museum exhibits a collection of items gathered by a rich man, and there is nothing special. Other museums (by government) are more organized and informative and deserving to spend the time in them. Thank you for the lady working at museum’s shop, she speaks English very good and was kind.

Although it is a small museum, it is one of the most original and qualified examples of museum and exhibition design in Turkey. I highly recommend it to anyone with a special interest in museology, exhibition, architectural design, architectural transformation and lighting design. The small but qualified souvenir section is also interesting. After completing the exhibitions, it is also a great pleasure to sit and drink coffee in the garden with an Ankara view. For a proper one of a kind visit, you need to spare 1-2 hours of your time.

The museum wasn't integrated with müze kart, I am quite dissapointed. And it is quite small museum and doesn't store too much.

Much smaller and less grandiose than the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations one or two hundred meters down the road, and not as well known, but it has really beautiful objects from the same long period of Anatolian history. A gem.

As fine as to have a sight, but not a whopping museum, I can say. Should be really interested in archeological findings. Must add an information box to what is being presented, as not everyone can grasp what’s going on with is individually exhibited

The museum has a quite modern building. The garden at back side has awsome view. Museum has a small collection but all of them are well protected and presented.

Especially the gold coin collection of the museum is worth seeing. In addition, the current exhibition 'Where are we' on the bottom floor is quite thought-provoking.

Nice and relatively small museum with small and nice touches of technology. Has small concert hall too. You can hear what the local/national musicians of Turkey can perform. Definitely worth a visit. Has a somewhat pricey but cozy and stylish cafe/restaurant too.

ERIMTAN ARKEOLOJI VE SANAT MUZESI : ALTERNATIVE Erimtan Arkeoloji ve Sanat Müzesi (Erimtan Archaeology and Art Museum) is a private museum located in Ankara, Turkey. The museum was founded by the Erimtan family, who are passionate collectors of ancient artifacts and works of art. The museum's collections include over 2000 artifacts, ranging from the Paleolithic era to the Ottoman period. The collections are arranged thematically, with exhibits dedicated to topics such as ancient warfare, daily life in ancient civilizations, and the art of the Islamic world. Some of the museum's most notable exhibits include a Roman sarcophagus depicting the labors of Hercules, a Hellenistic marble head of a woman, and an ancient Egyptian mummy. The museum also features a collection of Ottoman-era ceramics and Islamic calligraphy. In addition to its exhibits, the Erimtan Arkeoloji ve Sanat Müzesi also hosts a variety of cultural events, including concerts, lectures, and film screenings. The museum's mission is to promote the appreciation and understanding of ancient cultures and their enduring impact on contemporary society. The Erimtan Arkeoloji ve Sanat Müzesi is a relatively new addition to the cultural scene in Ankara, but it has quickly gained a reputation as one of the city's most innovative and dynamic museums. It is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the rich cultural history of Turkey and the wider region.

This is a beautiful museum, everything is arranged and explained so carefully. Mainly Greek and Roman periods. It's not too big so you can see everything in about 2 hours. It also has a lovely cafe.
