Booked
the
Basileus
Hotel
in
Istanbul
for
a
three-day
reservation.
Booked
for
my
family
with
two
small
children
as
well
as
older
parents.
Therefore,
we
chose
a
convenient
location
so
that
children
and
parents
after
long
walks
could
quickly
return
to
the
hotel.
We
were
also
pleasantly
impressed
by
the
description
and
reviews.
The
reservation
has
been
confirmed.
But...
It
turned
out
that
the
hotel
had
bad
faith.
Then
came
a
letter
stating
that
my
card
was
invalid
or
no
money,
although
it
had
money
on
it
and
it
could
be
used
to
pay
anywhere
abroad.
I
had
to
enter
three
of
my
cards
and
the
same
answer
kept
coming.
I
called
the
bank
and
the
bank
told
me
that
there
were
no
requests
for
withdrawals
from
the
hotel.
I
wrote
a
message
to
the
hotel
and
tried
to
understand
what
the
problem
was
with
my
cards.
But
they
still
canceled
the
reservation
for
two
rooms.
I
was
also
surprised
that
they
transferred
all
the
responsibility
to
the
Booking,
so
I
wrote
a
message
to
the
support
service
and
received
the
answer
that
the
payment
is
made
and
fixed
by
the
hotel.
After
canceling
the
reservation,
the
hotel
recommended
that
I
book
the
rooms
again.
When
I
started
a
new
booking,
I
realized
that
I
was
offered
worse
rooms
and
much
more
expensive
than
the
previous
price.
Here
I
realized
that
this
is
a
scam
and
manipulation
by
the
hotel.
This
struck
me
very
unpleasantly.
I
booked
rooms
at
another
hotel
and
there
my
card
came
up
for
payment.
I
am
not
in
Turkey
yet,
but
I
can
already
draw
conclusions
about
the
mentality
of
this
country.
I
will
not
be
surprised
if
they
use
the
data
of
my
cards
somewhere
else.
I
do
not
recommend
you
to
book
rooms
here.
