A friend brought me to Gym Chicken. It is a casual little joint that sells some great fried chicken. There's ample parking out the front and a few tables for seating, though I think they cater more for takeaway. The menu has quite a good variety of chicken pieces, burgers, wraps combos and they also offer a few vegetarian options. They also have halal certified food. The boneless chicken pieces were cooked fresh and because they use thigh, it was super juicy and delicious. Well seasoned and the batter was crunchy. The portions are sizeable and we were super full after sharing 10 pieces of boneless chicken with a portion family of wedges between 3 adults. In fact, we ended up taking some pieces home. The owner and staff are very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our order. Pricing is decent as I felt we got good bang for buck, given serving size and when compared with some Korean fried chicken places. Next time I come, I think I'll try their wrap. Would definitely recommend everyone come and give this place a try if you are looking for good, well cooked fried chicken.

I love fried chicken and this place makes great boneless fried chicken! Very light and crispy batter, the original is good but needs more seasoning, great with a sauce. The spicy one is mild heat wise, but great on their own. Brought some home to eat with rice. They have basic sauces, so if you can make korean based sauces, it would elevate it much more!! Overall the chicken itself is 8.5/10 Can't say much about other things as I'm only interested on the chicken itself.

Had lunch there today and the spicy chicken burger was absolutely delicious. Whilst the name suggests spicy, it’s not that hot and would be fine for anyone that likes a little spiciness. The staff are friendly and the menu looks interesting - I’ll definitely be back

Imagine god opened up his own KFC and made the best tasting chicken that was cooked to perfection.... well this is the shop. The guys in the store are always friendly and great to have a laugh. But the chicken.... no words can describe how insanely amazing their chicken is. You must try their food whether you're a foodie, a fried chicken enthusiast or just your plain ol average Joe.

Can’t go back to KFC now. Absolutely juicy and crispy fried chicken- fresh and hot. The burgers and wraps were delicious and massive portions. Easy parking right outside so handy to get a quick takeaway. Highly recommend and will be back 🤩

Absolutely delicious! My experience at Gym Chicken in Springvale was top-notch. The best Fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. Not kidding, it’s just amazing! I think we can now order it on Deliveroo, which is perfect. I highly recommend you to try! The owner is also very nice guy!

This is the worst chicken I have ever eaten. They got my order wrong, giving my son spicy chicken instead of regular. The manager there is very rude and I saw an employee make my burger with their bare hands (no gloves) the food is very over priced.

We had old stale chips and the chicken was probably sitting there for a few hours. Maybe it would have been ok if they were both cooked fresh but it wasn't.

Would not recommend this place for sure. The chicken was ok not that dry but you can tell it's old and been sitting in the heat warmer for a while. The chips were disgusting, I specifically asked for the chips to be made fresh since the ones in the warmer looks stale, old and yucky. The cook then agreed to cook the fresh chips and he mixed it up with the old chips and served us that so 70% of the chips were soggy, old and stale. It was over 30 degrees yesterday and they wouldn't even turn on aircon as well. Such a cheap and stingy owner, there's way better chicken around the area for similar or even cheaper price.

A Fried Chicken hidden gem on Police Road, the chicken pieces are so very tender, the Chicken is so crispy, batter is light, not greasy and totally tops other well known Fried chicken franchises. This place closes at 8:30pm.

The chips were nice and a big serve but overly salty. The chicken was dry, salty and cold, and the rice oily. They gave us a free skewer which had nice flavour but again cold, so not sure if freshly cooked. We did order this at 7:30pm on a Thursday so maybe close to their close time? Maybe we just had the last bits, so will give them another go due to the other feedback.

Definitely a must try in Melbourne. A lot of chicken shops say their chicken is better than KFC but GYM Chicken definitely beats all of them. Hot, crispy, spicy chicken and served with great customer service.

I was recommended this place by a friend and I’m very glad I was, I purchased the hot and spicy boneless chicken + burger and fries and it was amazing! Ever since I went I’ve been back multiple times because it’s just that good! I would definitely recommend this place! The staff were super friendly as well!

Finally after living a few hundred metres from it I tried the chicken wrap. Wow. Tender juicy chicken with a crunchy batter topped with a small portion of onions and lettuce. Not overly sauced but just enough as to not wet the wrap. I bought four and it was $12 for one. Everyone that ate with me loved the spicy sauces wrap and said it was way better than kfc wraps. Unfortunately I couldn’t give the chips five stars. A bit disappointing with the lack of chicken salt. The plain salt was bit too seasoned and I had to shake off most of it. Preparation was quick and service without a smile was typical for the local eateries here. Next time I’ll review the gum chicken meals or deals. I think the meal deals were not much of a savings given the individual items cost added up were similar to the meals hence no incentive to get deals. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The chicken are tender and tasty! I got the 6pcs chicken + large chips combo for $30 for lunch for 2 adults and a toddler. We still had some left for snack as the chicken are big in size. Value for money! Highly recommended! Friendly service too!
