Alay Köşkü, Topkapı Sarayı'nın dış suru üzerinde, padişahların geçit yapan alayları seyretmesi için 2. Mahmud tarafından yaptırılmış. Gülhane Parkı'nın içinden girilen köşk yuvarlak bir hünkar salonu ile bir sofa ve üç odadan oluşmaktadır. Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar Edebiyat Müze Kütüphanesi olarak düzenlenerek 12 Kasım 2011 tarihinde hizmete açılmıştır.

The Ahmet Hamdi Tunpinar Literature Museum Library established in 2011 and dedicated to Turkish writers Ahmet Hamdi Tunpinar (1901-1962). İçeriye gezi için gezecekseniz güvenlik görevlisi eşyalarınızı dolaba koyduruyor, kilitlettiriyor ve siz kütüphaneden çıkana kadar anahtar sizde kalıyor. Fotoğraf ve video çekmek yasak. Çektiğiniz an dibinizde bitiyor çalışanlar. Edebiyatsever iseniz mutlaka buraya gelmenizi öneririm.

This is a literatur museum and library, opened in 2011, and named after the Turkish writer and poet Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar. The building, dating from 1811, was originally for the Sultan to salute his military parade brigade. Entrance is free, plan a 30mn visit.

Mekan harika. Eserler harika. Personeller asık suratlı. İçeriye çantayla girilmesine bile izin vermiyorlar. Alt katta dergileri incelerken gelip iki kere çocuk kontrol eder gibi bakıyorlar. Harika bir mekan ama personeller çok kötü olduğu için aşırı tadım kaçtı ve erkenden çıktım. Burada bulunan personeller çok uzun zamandır buradalar. Yorumlara baktığımda bu durumdan tek şikayetçi olan ben değilim. Neden değiştirilmiyor anlamıyorum. Güleryüzlü edebiyat aşığı olan bir kütüphaneci olsa...

The museum is housed in the two-storey Procession Kiosk (Turkish: Alay Köşkü), a 19th-century historic building on the outer walls of Gülhane Park that belongs to Topkapı Palace.It was used by the Ottoman sultans to accept salute of janissary soldiers parading as well as a pleasure locale. The building is situated across the Sublime Porte.It was used from the 1910s on as the center of the Fine Arts Association.From 1928 to the end 1930s, it served as a meeting place of an association dedicated to Turkish language and literature.

Items belonging to truly excellent writers are on display. You leave your bags at the entrance. Taking photographs is forbidden. The ambience is perfect. You can study and read books. There is a VC inside. It is monitored with cameras. Be careful, the archive consists mostly of historical books, but today's books are also available, entrance is free.

I didn't expect for a such interesting place here. Respect!

Gülhane Parkı’nın içerisnde bulunan, birçok yazarın özel eşyalarının da bulunduğu hem müze hem kütüphane. Normalde içeride fotoğraf ve video çekimi yasaktır. Eşyalarınızı dolaba koyup giriyorsunuz. Tarihin zarar görmemesi açısından yasağa rağmen lütfen fotoğraf çekmeyiniz.

Great secret place

There are sections containing the writers' personal belongings. The items are very beautiful, the design is great. I traveled with pleasure. Note: Taking photos inside is prohibited.

Çokça yanından geçip fark etmediğimiz bir mekân. Gülhane Parkının hemen girişinde, önceden Alay Köşkü olarak kullanılan çok hoş bir yapı. İçerisi tam girip bütün gün kitaplarla hasbihal edilecek türden. Oturma alanları güzel dizayn edilmiş. İBB'ye ait İstanbul'la ilgili pek çok kitabı da bulup inceleyebilir, şehrin tarihine, bilinmeyen eserlerine, mahallelerine yolculuğa çıkabilirsiniz. Şehrin mutlaka görülmesi gereken yerlerinden biri.

Edebiyat severlerin bayılacağı bir yer.Okuma salonları, yazarların kullandığı eşyalar sergileniyor, masaların üzerinde şiirleri var, dergilerin olduğu bir alan var.
