Cheap and lovely hotel, The location is close to all the areas you are considering visiting, But the receptionists Not very friendly

Staff were awesome stayed for 3 nights got laundry done as well. Meet great people as well as staff were great to get travel ideas for. Get the tour through the staff they usually have a better deal than just going anywhere else. One thing that I had to do was go buy a cheep lock for my own locker. The locks don't work that great but I spent 10TL on a lock at the handbag store across the street and felt very safe leaving my bag. Oh and AC worked great.

You get what you pay for. This hostel is hidden in the backroom of a jewelry store. The guys running the place are genuinely nice, but the building is weird and overall not in a good shape. They had the best blankets I've ever had in a hostel though! But then again, that's just something you need when you don't have heating in an old building. The location is great, the facilities were clean and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, if you're on a budget in only need a bed somewhere, I can recommend this place. Otherwise, look somewhere else.

Frankly, I don't get how this place can get so many good ratings. I have been in hostels in a lot of countries in Europe and Asia, and this one is probably the most disappointing one. We came during winter, meaning it was freezing outside. Still, the heater was not even working, which is just unacceptable. We had to complain to have it fixed. During our stay, we also had issues with hot water (one night, it was lukewarm at best), wifi (it stopped for one night without any notice) and even the safety in our room, as people from the hostel would come in anytime to help themselves to the stock of blankets that was there. Generally speaking, the building didn't look in great shape, with bedside tables tilted when not just broken, broken bathroom door, some windows that could not be completely closed, lockers that could not be locked, the most unsafe lift I've ever seen, etc. I think the lower the floor, the better the rooms. I unfortunately got a higher floor room. The only positive thing: staff was generally nice, especially at the reception. The others were not fluent in English though smiling faces.

Don't let the first impression confuse you.. the entrance is hidden a little, but inside you get hotel-condition rooms, and a great terrace with a view on the hagia Sophia with a tea from the Rooftop-Bar with good service. Especially a good offer during the pandemic, as now the price was about 10€ per night, tea at 0,5€ and Shisha for 8€ The good location and the price make this hostel a good option for bagpackers.

Great hostel, with really friendly owner. Terrace is best feature, you can see whole city from there. Strong recommendations!

We booked for a 6 bed room. We arrived and were allocated into a 8 bed that turned into a 9 bed 2 days later. The room w/ two showers, one was leaking and making the whole room wet, the other ran out of water or hot water. Staff promised to fix it by the end of the 1st day but it wasn't after the 4 days we spent there. A real headache. Everyday we had to take a shower in a different room, which not only bothered us but the people there. Staff needs better training. Breakfast and location nice.

I was totally happy there, having nice dinners with the guests and the staff. Location is great. However, I hated how the owner talked to the employees and got nasty at a times.

It was subpar, not that clean. A bit shabby, but good enough to sleep. The staff is nice and location isn't bad.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the bar of the hostel! Good place, with and incredible people helping us and giving us good advices about the town. If you come to Istanbul, you have to go definitely to this bar.

In pandemic times a bit empty to make friends but staff really friendly and safety place to stay close to all historic attractions
