Ara Güler Museum is a treasure opened in memory of Ara Güler, one of the leading names in the art of photography. Located in the heart of Istanbul, it offers visitors the opportunity to discover the history and spirit of the city through Güler's eyes. The people and places he captures in his photographs carry the traces of the past to the present and take the viewer on a journey through time. The frames captured through Güler's lens present art and history together, offering visitors an unforgettable experience. #ShadowofThePastInTheLightofArt

Ara Güler Museum offers visitors an unforgettable experience by hosting the impressive works of the famous Turkish photographer Ara Güler. The museum reveals the moments captured by Güler from his unique perspective and the history of Turkey in photographs. The exhibited works give art lovers a deep understanding of Turkish culture, history and human landscapes. While Ara Güler Museum offers a visual feast to visitors, it is also an important center of Turkish photography and art.

This museum is located off the beaten path, but in a very cool place. The Museum, 212 photo gallery, Torch brewery and a few restaurants are making together a beautiful backyard where you can chill between visiting any of these places. The museum itself is very nice. It shows the whole Ara Guler’s body of work, beautifully printed and displayed. Highly recommended!

Breathtaking is the closest word that cannot describe the experience. I went there and found myself lost in the photos taken by Ara Güler, whom was called the eye of Istanbul. And that title suits him well. The photos were taken from everyday life of Istanbuli people going about their lives. But they told the story of life back then. The frames, the photos and the stories were amazing. There was also a collection of photos of Ara himself, with notable characters like Picasso, Salvador Dali and so forth. I highly recommend for photo and life enthusiasts not to miss this experience of a lifetime.

(Translated by Google) The museum in Bomontiada is 200 meters from the location shown by the map. It is a free museum in a calm atmosphere among the cafes where the old brewery is located. There are sections in which Sabahattin Ali and Göbeklitepe are located. Although it is a little insufficient in terms of work, it is worth visiting. It is not very centrally located for transportation, but it is a quiet and quiet place. Come in if you have time and transportation is not a problem. I would also like to say that the cafes around are expensive. Enjoyable trips .. Keyifli gezmeler..

(Translated by Google) A rare museum with various photos of Ara Güler. Admission is free and Monday closed. Especially Sabahattin Ali's family 👨‍👩‍👧 I do not miss the exhibition with pictures. Lovely exhibition of photography and history from some of the great man’s work. The story behind Aphrodisias and Ara’s early work is tremendous. I particularly liked how there was plenty of English translations. Well done (hopefully Google admin will move the pin to the correct location in Atöyle).

Disappointing. We came to see the Istanbul cityscapes but the exhibit is a pure political operation, filtered material only displaying Turkish literary figures and silencing the core of the artist's production. Basic shop with little choice of books and prints.

Without the great Magnum photojournalist Ara Güler, the golden age of post-World War II Istanbul would have been lost for ever. But the canny fellow not only captured the humanity of the age, he made sure that his legacy would survive. On his 90th birthday in August 2018, he got his own museum in the Bomontiada arts centre, the former Bomonti Beer Factory. He was to die just a few weeks later. A massive operation is in full swing to digitize and catalogue some 70.000 images taken between 1955 and Ara's death. (Cornucopia Mag. issue 60)

Although there are not many actual photographs, you can already see the emotion and presentation contained in Ara Güler.
