I've always wanted to leave this review but haven't so far: in 2019 I have booked this hostel months in advance for having a secure place for going to the Gnaouafestival. Two days before arrival I receive the cancellation stating they have to do some important work. Of course, in the most busy week of the year there is some important maintenance to do. I'm sure they wanted to cancel the "cheap" stay I had and advertise again with a "festival price". Is this how you treat other people? We had to find a place last minute which cost us way more of course. I strongly advise anyone to not support this kind of asocial behaviour!

i dont know why there is 5-star note, its not true. for my boyfriend and me, this hostel is almost the worst one... the bathroom is disgusting and dirty. the sheet in the room is kind of not very clean. we stayed just one night(cause we arrived late in essaouira) and left at around 8 in the morning(didnt have the breakfast and just want to find a better one). i do not recommend here.

Clean and cozy, 4 bed dorms share one bathroom, rooftop not as cool as in other places. Over all an average hostel.

Very friendly staff and an excellent location. Easy walking distance to the majority of the sights in Essaouria. It can be a bit tricky to find as there is no sign on the outside of the building.

Wave Mogador was a nice central place to stay to access the markets of the medina. It’s also not too far from free on street parking outside of the walled area of the city. The staff were really helpful in assisting us to find some items in Essouira that we needed during our stay, and helped us to get these items at a reasonable price 😊

Clean, friendly, laid-back, and reasonably priced. Nice room options and location (next to Lalla Mira hotel), front door is a little sticky. Clean sheets and towels. The host was kind enough to accompany us once for local prices at a food stall (they charge 2x as much to tourists in Essaouira). But don't leave any food out on the tables on the terrace - the gulls will beat you to it before you get back! Sometimes booking online may save you a few dirhams.

Highly recommended, great social atmosphere, very friendly staff, nice location. Not a chaotic 'party' hostel, but you'll definitely have a good time here.

This place is very friendly, staff is super nice, good people. All place inside looked really nice, room was cozy and sweet :) I slept in few hostels on my trip, but this one i liked the most

So glad I stayed here. Room was clean and well lit, bed was very comfortable. Hassan, the owner, puts out a great breakfast and hosts a big couscous dinner on Fridays. He’s a fountain of useful info on the area. Common area is a very nice spot to relax.

Hassan, our host was incredibly kind to us from our arrival to our departure and he personalized us a map to get to know our whereabouts as I had never seen before. We’ll definitely be back. We really enjoyed the “terrasse”.

Perfect place to stay in Essaouira. Great beds, very kind host Hassan, perfect location, very clean, nothing to complain about.
