The best place to ride a camel! It is better to come here at sunset, then the views will be especially beautiful. And if you bargain, you can agree on a good discount.

Mostafa was extremely friendly and was a wonderful guide. The experience alone is worth your time in Essaouira. The camels were very friendly and well taken care of. The scenery during the 3 hours tour was really beautiful. But the real stunner was having lunch in the middle of the forest with a sumptuous meal made from scratch by Mostafa! His version of Moroccan tea was amazing, and his freshly grilled chicken was so juicy and delicious! What topped off the entire experience was being surrounded by 20 or so goats who suddenly came to graze around us in the middle of our meal (+ the 3 adorable dromadaires obediently sitting down waiting while chewing their own food). Simply a must-do in Essaouira!

When in Rome do as the Romans do...oh wait, wrong city. When in Essaouira Morocco, ride a Dromedary on the beach! (also called the Arabian Camel ) My husband and I had a wonderful experience on our second ‘camel’ ride. In October 2016, we rode in the Sahara desert of Morocco with a Berber tribe and camped in the dunes. This time, we arranged an amazing beach and forest tour with Mustafa Mahjoubi of ‘Lima Dromadaire’. Mustafa is a young local man who has had his business since 2013. He LOVES his dromadaries like we love our own horses back in California! Knowing this simply made our experience even more wonderful. Mustafa picked us up near the old town medina where we were staying. He was punctual and friendly. Communication was excellent as we planned this tour. He seemed to really want to get to know us and make us feel extra special. His English is very good so you will feel comfortable if you are English speaking as we are. We spent a little over 4 hours riding the beaches of Essaouira and on into the eucalyptus forest and sand dunes of Diabat. This also took us past the ancient ruins of a Sultans palace! We took a break in the eucalyptus forest where Mustafa and my husband Mike built a fire. We had hot Moroccan mint tea and a big lunch. Mike and I picked eucalyptus leaves for our camels, Timbuktu, Rastafari & Sultan. It was so much fun feeding them snacks. When in Essaouira, do not hesitate to go with Mustafa. He is the kindest young man. His passion shines through his entire being. And knowing these animals are his very own and a big part of his family is comforting as you know he takes the best of care and loves them dearly! Great time and as always, more amazing memories were made! Hartmans Go, See & Do...Essaouira Morocco as Berber Tuareg Tribe members!

Fantastic day riding the dromedaries with the family (including our two girls, age 6 and 10). Mustafa prepared a tasty dinner for us on the bonfire and was generally a super guide - attentive and very friendly. Thank you Mustafa for a great time

Would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is spending some time in Essaouira. Moustafa was an absolutely FANTASTIC guide who gave us so much insight and information on Moroccan culture. We loved hearing more about his upbringing and the connection/love he has for his dromedary. We did the 1/2 day ride which gave us the chance to not only see the beach but also the nearby forest and dunes. Lunch was served on top of the dunes which gave us a spectacular view that overlooked the coastline. The meal itself consisted of mint tea cooked over a fire, olives, khobz, argan oil, and pastries (made by Moustafa's mom, sister, and wife) - everything was SO GOOD, our group was fighting over who got the last bites. On the ride back across the beach we got to wear shawls which made us feel even more in the moment. Best of all, Moustafa (aka the "human drone") took so many photos/videos, that look like they were done professionally, of our group that will allow us to always remember our time in Essaouira. Our group also did the Berber tent camping experience that Lima Dromadaire offers and it is honestly something I will never forget - a major standout from my week-long trip. Authentic tagine (and even more khobz) cooked on the fire, accompanied by fresh tea, and the stars. What more could you need? Do not miss out on this experience! Thanks so much, Moustafa!

An amazing experience with a fantastic host. Mostafa could not have done anything more to make this experience any more perfect. I cannot recommend him and his dromadaires highly enough. An absolute must for anyone visiting this area

Most Amazing experience in Morocco. We booked a 3-hour 🐫 ride and it was lovely. They also took nice pictures and video of us. We also had a picnic in the forest.

It was by far our most memorable experience in Essaoira! The hotel recommended them for us and Mustafa the owner did not disappoint. He is fluent in English and also a good photographer, he took some awesome pictures just with our phone so don’t be shy to hand him your phone while you riding you will not regret it.

Amazing experience. Would highly recommend. The booking process was easy and Abdoul our guide was great. Don't be shy to hand him your phone, he knows how to capture the most exquisite photos. Abdoul answered all our (many) questions about the camels and the area. He genuinely cares about you having a good time and the animals. Mustafa met us after and also wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Thoroughly nice people with well cared for animals.

What an incredible experience we had today on our camel ride. Mostafa was amazing, especially with my son who was a bit nervous. The photos we got were incredible. Would highly recommend Mostafa and his team.

👍👍 Nice big open space with charming venders who will try to sell you fake branded sunglasses and "happy cakes". Next to it is a rocky beach ideal for watching the sunset and eating fleshly barbecued seafood and of course the seafood market

👍👍 Great view! Definitely should be seen if you are visiting Essauira. But since it is a seaside touristic place (along with the Game of Thrones fame), it is hard to find an affordable restaurant nearby. But a beautiful place to wander.
