. The Bar El Caliente is on the pedestrianised Calle Real, just past the Calle Terraza junction, walking towards the Plazoleta Ortiz. As there is no passing traffic, the outdoor seating is very pleasant, with plenty of people watching to do. I won't say that the lack of traffic makes it quiet here, because traffic noise is, of course, replaced by people noise! :-) It's usually buzzing at any time of day as it provides good quality food and drinks at reasonable places. Loads of locals, always a good sign! Groups of ladies re-fuelling after the gym or some (semi) strenuous jogging. Mothers relaxing after dropping the children off at school, thank goodness for that, a bit of Me-Time at last. Couples looking deeply into each other's eyes. Grannies trying half-heartedly to control boisterous children. Sets of businessmen all looking at their iPhones. All modern Spain is here! Lovely breakfasts, great evening snacks. Try it! .

It's always here to have a breakfast (unlike many other restaurants lately). Very delicious food, even for the taste of my kids (it's hard to find the place where they find something for themselves). Good prices. But it's very popular, sometimes you have to wait in a line.

Do a nice bacon and egg baguette and good coffee, gets busy you may have to wait for a table but worth it.

Very fast service despite being full. Food and drinks within 5 minutes all piping hot and very tasty. Had a roquefort and quail's egg sandwich at €3.50 and was excellent. Would happily come back here

The food was quite good. We wished to order more along with a second coffee but it was impossible to get a server’s attention. Getting and paying the bill was very difficult which does not help their business as people were waiting in line to get in.

Coffee is good, but it's unpleasant to sit here with all the rubbish on the floor (mainly receipts), which is ignored by the staff.
