Overrated and way below my expectations. The service was poor and the waiter have no idea what type of food is on the menu. We ordered a T-bone steak which was too rare, almost raw to eat and not seasoned. The second plate we ordered was the stuffed chicken which remind me of an airline inflight chicken.they stuffed it with broccoli and carrots, who does that? In addition to this disappointment we had a pile of white rice on our pates as a side dish with out even giving us a choice. Overall with the amount of money we paid i feel like i was swindled. Something to notice here almost all five star reviews for this restaurant are from two months ago and almost every one who reviewed has reviewed this restaurant only on google map.

I swear to God the fish i ate in this house was the worst ever and it tasted like it stayed in the fridge for a whole year plus service charge is toooo much. Also customer service is zero they don’t take your comments seriously.Overall rating 1/10 the “1” is for the way the place looks nunn much

The place has a beautiful ambiance and is located right by Bole Medhanialem. Their food tasted good. Although I felt like their menu was slightly overpriced, it is fair considering the location and ingredients. They also have very delicious cocktails. The place can get crowded sometimes and you may need reservations when they're busy. They do, however, accept walk-ins.

One of the best fine dining restaurants I've been to in Addis. The place has a lovely ambience with mild music. The staff here are very friendly and the food is amazing.

Golden plate restaurant is located around bole Medanialem abbysnia building 1st floor. I recommend this restaurant for all of y’all. And their service the food the place was amazing.

Worst experience. We waited for the food for over an hour and It would have been fine if the food was good but we had the worst food serviced to us. We didn't like their food whatsoever. The Lasagna was just salty, the fish dish was just horrible and to top it all off their service charge was just unfair. Service was extremly poor. We learned the hard way that not everyone is welcome to a fancy dining place. If you ever decide to go their just order their steak, they are known for the steaks.

Went there early in the day, the place was mostly empty; the service was great and fast. The food was also very good, they even accommodated me and made something that wasn’t really on the menu. I enjoyed my meal and so did my stomach.

I have been twice to Golden planet 👏 thumbs up for their food and service … both times I tried different combos but loved it so much they need to improve their beef kebab it’s a bit dry other then that I like the chicken kebab and their Tilatilies with bolognese sauce is 💕 .. the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing to hang out with friends and family ( relaxing) - the fact the kitchen is open let you see how food is cooked is great.. definitely going back to try other things- recommend it 👍

Food is average, service is okay. I ordered 1 appetizer and 3 food for 3 of us but the waiter decided to add second steak which we didn’t order and when we told him that we only ordered one steak he start begging us to eat it otherwise he will end up paying for it. When he told him we already ordered to much food already for 3 people he start begging us at list to cover the tab for him and that really makes us uncomfortable because he keeps on coming and trying to convince us to eat it or pay for it. One good thing about this place is that they open late.

We went there on a Thursday night and we were quite upon a recommendation from some one. The place was full and in my head I thought this is a mistake. Within seconds a waitress found a place and sat us down. The table was clean beautiful but simply set. The body language of the waitress and even the manager was quite welcoming. We asked what they recommended and when the starter came it was heavenly. Especially the salad! Then the main to the eye it looked like it would not fill our four tummys but the food was devine and we were more than satisfied. This is the best restaurant by far that I have experienced in Addis from service to food to ambiance. We met the owner Chef Hannock very humble person and one willing to listen and has great plans for the place. So if you want a place for a good meal that you won't regret spending your money then definitely the Golden plate is the place to be. Will definitely visit again. My palate can't wait for another experience for it is truly not only an experience of great service but also and adventure for the palate. Well done chef Hannock and team!

Do not expect the "fine dining" atmosphere they create in their marketing to translate to the taste and texture of their food. The service is great, the ambiance is ok, buy the food tends to be underwhelming. Like a T-bone steak that you can't cut with a jig saw, or an under seasoned and over done family steak. The pesto (both with and without chicken) was the only thing that delivered. All in all, not worth the price.

The place seems cozy and I liked the open kitchen. But the food wasn't pleasing. I had roasted chicken which was basic, salty, and far from delight. To be honest I don't really recommend this place or go there again.

Very tasty meal,large portions, good choice on the menu, prices are the same like in any nice restaurant I have so far visited. Could be a bit quicker on serving. I will come again.

The service was the best and their food is just mouth watering 😋 I highly recommend it for any occasion. I was also really pleased to hear that they do catering too.

Absolutely excellent from the moment we arrived as a (very) late booking on Valentine’s Day. Long story short, we had booked Marcus Restaurant but they were just awful so we called Golden Plate up - a friend highly recommended them - and they found us a table by the kitchen. This turned out to be an excellent location, btw, as we got to see the chefs and kitchen staff in action. From the moment we walked up the stairs we were warmly greeted and taken to our table where orders were taken promptly and drinks poured in abundance. We had a wonderful time - food was excellent, exquisite even, the all inclusive wine and cocktails were a pleasant surprise. Could not thank everyone there enough or rate it highly enough. Thank you to the chef/owner and to our hostess, Ashley.

If there was a rating below one star, I would given less than one star. Went to the restaurant, and gave us the regular menu, few minutes later gave us a different menu and told us it’s a package deal. Which is 4000 bire package deal. Even if there wasn’t package deal, we would spend more then 4000 bire. Customer service zero.
