The room and bathroom were dirty, the desk chair had something spilled on it. The towels and bathmat were old, thin and frayed on the ends. The room smelled bad. When running hot water there was a strange dirt smell. There was very little left for the breakfast but considering the cleanliness of the room we chose to not eat there anyway. We waited for longer than necessary for someone to come to the front desk to checkout. Even used the phone. Finally just left as they already had our payment information. I did receive a receipt by email so I have confirmation of payment. Will never stay there again!

I've stayed in worse hotels, don't get me wrong. But I've never paid $85/night to stay in a worse hotel. For what I got, this should be a $35/night, run down, half star, Motel 6. Everything was dirty, and dingy, the hallway carpets were stain, dirty, ragged and worn out. The room was awful (except for the bed). The sink wouldn't drain, the shower head is coming discounted from the wall, the AC didn't blow, bath tub had mold around the edges. For the price I was very disappointed. I guess the only thing you're paying for is the pool, which did look pretty fancy... I didn't use it. Who took the pictures for the website?? Give that guy a raise... they're really the only person doing their job at this hotel.

I had to come up for my son's neurology appt so we searched for rooms that were kind budgeting for my family. I see that people complain on the reviews about how sketchy it is, but you get what you pay for I say, if you want to stay in a better hotel you WILL need to pay more, if they upped their prices for the hotel stay then they most likely could afford a remodel or updates. Yeah, the chlorine was a little strong, but we swam anyway and the area was clean. Our rooms were good however I did need to wipe down a few areas that were dusty that's it. The staff were super friendly. And when we woke up for breakfast they didn't have anymore sausage but I did inform them and they made some right away for my family, they also had scrambled eggs, fried egg, diff bagels, toast, 3 diff cereals, milk, waffles, donuts, muffins, apple juice, orange juice, yogurt, cream cheese, hot coffee and also a machine for cappuccino and lattes, so overall, my family and I can't complain about a whole lot because we feel that it was a good hotel stay and super budget friendly, we stayed on a Tuesday evening which cost us 89.00 but 103.00 all together. Will stay here again when traveling.

What an absolute train wreck of a hotel! Filthy disgusting, beds were uncomfortable pillows were horrible. Shower wasn’t great by any means. Dogs barking inside all night. Doors slamming. My room door was missing the dead bolt latch so I was figuring someone for sure would walk in my room. Would never recommend this to anyone. I was given a room I opened the door and it had never been cleaned! Then they had the nerve to question me as if I would like about it.

Do not stay here. I booked a room with a hot tub in it. When I entered the room I could see stains on the floor and walls. Overall the hotel looked very unclean. I tried flushing the toilet and it did not flush. The staff came and said they fixed the toilet but it still barely flushed. I asked for a refund and the hotel refused. They never even offered to put me in a different room. I spent a total of one hour in the room and spent 230 dollars for one night. I ended up having to go book a different hotel because I wasn’t going to stay in a room that I can’t use the toilet. This hotel is very run down and in need of a remodeling or just close. Again do not stay here, learn from me.

My recent visit to AmericInn in Fargo was quite enjoyable. The room was clean, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our late check-in without a reservation went smoothly, thanks to the friendly owner at the front desk. Although we encountered a minor issue with the TV not working, our exhaustion from the late check-in helped us overlook it as we quickly fell asleep. The hotel's location is a definite highlight, with an array of shopping and dining options nearby, making our stay even more convenient. All in all, AmericInn in Fargo provided a cozy stay, with clean rooms and a convenient location. Despite the TV glitch, I would recommend it for a pleasant visit to the area.

The room I was in had a mildew smell, the tub was dirty my ice bucket had water in it the trash cans weren't empty. The hallway felt like sauna, the only decent thing about this place was the pool and I was kinda upset that the hot tub wasn't in order. This place was not worth the price I paid.

We stayed here for 3 days as my husband is a over road driver. The staff are very friendly and go out of the way to help you anyway possible, we were able to park our truck in trailer in back of parking lot towards grass. The room was clean, they had a nice breakfast with lots of options (waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage, fancy coffee machine, juices, milk, etc....) The pool with slide was very fun, my boys really enjoyed it. They are also pet friendly which is a plus. Only down fall was hot tub out of order, key card didn't always work for room, but they gave us new key cards, and the neighborhood is a bit iffy.

Wish I could give this place a zero star rating. Unfortunately I can only go as low as a one. Checked in and key cards didn’t work. Upon entering the room found stains on the floor, toothpaste splatters on the mirror, hair in the towels, stains on the bed, soap scum all over tub floor and the best part was the prescription pill bottles under the lumpy mattress. Tried to move rooms but those were just as filthy. Tried to reach a manager, who responded via text that he “was sleeping” and couldn’t help us nor assure us of a refund. So I know there will be a response to my review stating that my “review is important and will be forwarded to management “ but based on other reviews I’ve read people have had the same issues and none of these things will be fixed. Will never stay here again and recommend that everyone avoid this place at all costs.

We booked this hotel for one night. We chose this hotel because I have loved all other AmericInns we have stayed in before. We come in late 11:45pm and the staff was really friendly. But our keys didn't work going into the room so, we had to go back to the front desk and ask for help. They said it was tricky so anytime leaving the hotel room we had to swipe the card 50 times before getting it to work to get back into our room. When we got in our room the first light switch didn't work. A light in the bathroom was missing making the bathroom light really dim. When I went to use the shower there was hair all over the shower which was a little gross. The TV remote had some kind of food all pressed into it. Tried the hot tub out and it was luke warm. The Breakfast was good and the staff were kind. But, I never want to feel this grossed out by a hotel room again, wished we had picked any other hotel there are so many in Fargo.

This was a very reasonably priced hotel with great amenities. The breakfast was wonderful, and had a really good selection. The food was very good. The pool was clean, and the hot tub was hot. It was a really busy hotel while we were there, and it always seemed like many people were enjoying the pool or walking the hallways. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. They also allow pets, so it was nice being able to include them. My only negative was my room just wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. When I check into a room I always check the beds first before unpacking. While I was checking the beds I found a pretty old bag of fruit snacks by the headboard of one bed (between the sheets and the board), and the floor by the other bed there was someones someones red hair tie, and there were a few small pieces of glass on the floor we had to clean up. We cleaned up everything ourselves with no problem, but it was a little bit of a bummer. Overall id would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a family friendly hotel. It is a very nice hotel for the price.

Right off the interstate and a decent..ish price. Nice front desk dude when we checked in at 1230a. Wow.. we lucked out right? NO. These rooms are filthy. I had tonwash6my hands every time I touched somewhat wasn't my own. There were long black hairs all over the bathtub. The caulk was either peeling or moldy. The floors were so disgusting that we put sheets on the floor so we didn't have to put our shoes on every time we got out of bed. The whole room was dirty and I hated almost every minute we were there.. except eating rhr co tinental breakfast. That was decent. Too bad they never filled any of the food. The desk clerks never even acknowledged us the multiple times we walked by the next day. I'd rather sleep in my car than sleep here again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed our stay, especially the hot tub and the kids’ pool. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were fresh. However, the floors could use some better vacuuming techniques. There were old debris behind the washroom door and on the carpet in the room. Overall, I would recommend this place.

When we pulled up it had been 2 full days since getting snow and the parking lot was not plowed. We probably should’ve known then that if they don’t take care of their parking lot in ND, they wont take care of their rooms. The door to get in the hotel was broken so it was never locked, safe? Not really. Then the door to our hotel room didn’t have a lock on it. Then our smoke detector was hanging off the wall. Safety is a top priority to me and my husband and we didn’t feel safe the entire time. We still spent $130 for one night, if it was $70 we would’ve expected something more like this. The halls reeked of marijuana. The people were rude. I will say, the lady at the front desk was kind but that was our only good experience here. Would never recommend unfortunately.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but my first room looked like someone was already staying there or wasn't touched by the housekeeper and the room i wound up with wasn't very clean. The location was questionable and not worth the $200+ a night. On a positive note: the pool looked nice, and despite the circumstances the gal at the desk was sympathetic and accommodating. I don't believe I'll be back.

This hotel is a 0 star if there was such. It was absolutely DISGUSTING! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY/TIME. First of all u walk into the entrance, its so strong from chlorine your eyes are burning. The pool is murky from so much poured into pool. The hot tub has loose hairs, dead skin floating around. (No word of a lie) they never test the water. Going to the room the card doesn't work very well, takes alot swipes to get in. Once u get in room u will be very disappointed. Very dirty rooms. Mirrors all dirty, tv is small and fuzzy channels, stains on bedding.( probably not washed) toilet doesn't flush properly, room phone didn't work asked front desk many times and brushed it off. Whole family got sick, sneezing from all thr dust and dirt. You will NOT see them cleaning. We were there 5 days not once did we see them clean. Breakfast was just an OK. Sure other hotels have it better. Ice maker was out of service. ( only has one) THIS PLACE IS JUST A DUMP. Should be ashamed of themselves. 0 effort there. I hope this helps others change there minds to stay here.

Tightly wedged amongst several other hotels. Nearby highway could be heard in the room. Very nice staff, fun pool and relaxing hot tub. Breakfast seemed a step above the norm with fried eggs and scrambled eggs and yummy sausages, several breads, pastries and muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and lots of etc. Coffee and a Nescafe machine. Widespread hotel maintenance and repairs are underway. It was nothing that disrupted our one-night stay at all, but something to be aware of. Rooms were standard; nice large Queen bed, lumpy foam pillows, small fridge and microwave. Cleaning service need to remember to vacuum under the bed. My husband thought be heating air conditioning unit was noisy but I disagree. You will have to decide for yourself.

Check in was fantastic. We are elderly and our room was changed to a first floor room. Nice and clean. A surprise pool area with a waterslide. We didn't have kids but the ones in there were having fun. Great breakfast and friendly check out. Thank you for staying our trip out great.

Nice, clean room at a reasonable rate. Absolutely loved the shower setup, as they have a shower handle like I have at home! Have stayed in a multitude of hotels in the last 10 years and this is the only one with this feature. Will stay here again!

Good hotel tucked along other hotels in Fargo on 35tg street. Pool, hot tub, and exercise rooms were great. Hot breakfast served from 6-10 a.m. Con was cleanliness, hallways smelled musty, shower/tub had rust stains, shower faucet trim hanging off, and toilet seat wasn't connected to the toilet.

  • 2/5 Kneeludog37 2 years ago on Google
First, the room was dirty. There was what I am hoping was frosting on the drapes and carpet. The toilet barely flushed. Shower pressure was good but there was a loud high pitched squealing sound the whole time you showered. But the cherry on the sundae was when some sort of alarm went off several times at 2:30 in the morning then the same alarm went off again several times at 5:30 AM. As far as we know nothing was on fire or crazy like that. We will definitely not be staying again.

Decently clean, the room would not cool down and I had the Temperature at 64 degrees. Neighborhood is a little ghetto run down and right next to the interstate. They do have a fitness room with a bench and 10-45 lbs dumbbells. I was not able to try out the breakfast. I would not recommend staying here. Due to location and climate control in room.

Got a whirlpool suite a couple years back. Was beautiful up until we looked down in the deep whirlpool and found a used bar of soap a hair!! Hope their cleaning has improved drastically! Ended up going next door where apparently they share the same cleaning staff! Ended up going over to Moorehead to a cheaper lower grade but clean hotel!

The room was barely cleaned beforehand, in these post COVID times. The toilet had stains that looked like dried juice and urine. It was also clogged and leaking. The bathtub had mildew around the rim and was blackened with dirt. The screen on the window was cut. The pillows cases were STAINED with makeup and old drool, 2 stains that are easily removed with washing. The fridge was unplugged, when the maintenance moved it the water from the freezer spilled onto the already filthy carpet and they made no attempts to dry it. They refused to move us (they were overbooked) so we moved ourselves right out of there. We tried to be optimistic and thug it out but the non working toilet was where I draw the line.

Clean but tired. Staff was friendly and everything was clean but the entire place looked tired. Breakfast is simple carbohydrates, I did not see a protein - great if you like toast and mini donuts. At about $100 including taxes the price was attractive.

Nice condition and well kept. Some minor bits of inattentiveness but minor. Our rooms beds are needing replacement but still okay. Pool in good shape but more kid oriented than others I've seen. A good deal for the price.

We rented the king bed and jacuzzi room. It was way overpriced for what we got. The tub barely worked. The tv had at most 20 channels. The halls were filled with a strong chlorine smell to the point were the windows are open when it’s 80 plus degrees outside. I can’t rate the service of the staff because there was no staff to talk to. I was going to negotiate a partial refund but, there was no one there to talk to. The place is falling apart. It looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 90s. The mold on the bathroom wall would agree with me. The only plus to this place was that the ac worked. Breakfast was terrible. The batter for the waffle maker was just water and the sausage was tough and dry. The four of us waiting at the desk for about 45 mins to turn in our keys just left them on the counter and left. Never coming back.

I am staying over Mother's day weekend with my son and when we first walked in the room smelled terrible. I let that go. Then I found all pillow cases were dirty. Bed sheet has a stain and doesn't even fit the bed. The floors look like they weren't vacuumed at all. The chairs are dirty. The shampoo and conditioner were used and half empty. Asked for new pillow cases and got those right away. I've been waiting almost and hour for a new bed sheet. The only thing good about this stay is the pool and hot tub.

Not a great experience. The room was terribly gross...caked with dust on the furniture, stains on pillows, and a massive liquid substance stain on the lower bedding too. I've offered pictures for the reviews. The bathroom mirror had some kind of cleaning product that hadn't been cleaned off properly so there were streaks, and there was soap scum on the bathroom soap holder. The fridge was broken and pooling water still in it. When my husband went to share details with management, right away they offered new pillowcases and then they'd be happy to clean it the next day!?! The pool seemed like a good deal, except my kids shared that the kiddie pool was ice cold, and as well as the slide pool area was freezing. I appreciate the night staff guy who was able to help us turn on the pool jets and brought us more pool towels. Granted, you aren't allowed to bring the pool towels to your room. We also appreciated the options for breakfast, so at least you won't go hungry.

Sunday breakfast ended at 9 and the kids missed eating. Most places are 10 on Sunday....my bad for not checking. Pool area, hot tub, really great for the kiddos. Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Restroom in pool area so was able to check out and still let the kids swim for awhile. Id def. stay here again.

Quiet, clean rooms with microwave oven and a nice refrigerator/freezer. TV is like basic cable. I was able to do my laundry in the guest laundry room. The dryer died, but after notifying the front desk, alternative measures were provided. MANY THANKS 🙂👍❗ I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room (Rm 113) with a roll-in shower 🚿. It looks like the showerhead was recently replaced (excellent) but it is no longer height adjustable. I brought it to the attention of the front desk. She said that she would share it with the manager. If you're in a wheelchair, you'll need assistance to get it down low enough to accommodate your needs . See attached photos. Overall, my stay was comfortable and relaxing 😌. My heartfelt thanks to the staff for their many efforts to accommodate their guests.

We checked in, and asked if they had a room for us to stay a second night. Our room was booked for the next night, but he upgraded us to two queen beds instead of two double beds with no extra charge. We would just have to switch rooms in the morning. The room was fine. Clean enough. The kids loved the pool. The free breakfast the next day was extremely lacking. We got there at 8. It was supposed to last until 10. When we got there, there were no more eggs, no more donuts, no more muffins, almost out of waffle batter, no more napkins, the few sausage patties had clearly been sitting in grease for two hours. Nothing was ever refilled. Nothing. Then, we checked out of our first room, and asked what we needed to do to get checked in to our second room, and we didn't have one. Somehow, even though we had a room the first night, they had no credit card on file, and our names weren't on file...and, surprise surprise, they were completely booked. So, overall, a pretty lackluster and disappointing experience.

The coffee taste like chlorine at the breakfast bar and the guy at the desk didn't seem to care. Eggs very dry, the donuts were dry and stale the water in the shower took a few minutes to get hot. The exercise equipment was filthy. Never again will I stay there.

  • 1/5 Josh B. 2 years ago on Google
First walked into our room and it smelled like someone was smoking something in there and went to the front desk and they sprayed pumpkin spice fabreeze in there, so now we have a room that smells like pumpkin spice weed... I wake up the next morning and opened the night stand drawer to find it full of garbage, candy wrappers, medicine packaging, etc... lastly went to the front desk at checkout to say something and no one was there, called using the phone at the front desk and no one came. At this point could've just as well saved money and went to the motel 6 as I would expect the same quality. If any one stays in room 128 I hope you're experience is better than mine.
