Concise Review: shower is a 5/10, only 1 free breakfast voucher, breakfast buffet is a 10/10, easy parking, wonderful staff Expansive Review This is an unexpectedly superb hotel. And I do not just mean for the area. You could take this hotel, put it anywhere and it would still be a terrific hotel establishment. The people in the Fargo area are…economical with their words and smiles. The hotel staff match the local vibe perfectly. It may be off putting to some, but after a few days you kinda start understanding that’s just the way the folks in Fargo are. Nothing wrong with that. The normal rooms are large. Large single TV. A sink, microwave and mini fridge. My floor also had an ice machine and water bottle filler right as you exit the elevator. It’s nice. My particular room had a tub/shower combo. I am a short person, 5’7, and the shower was about as tall as me. I had to duck down to get wet. Bed was comfortable, was always enough parking. I had a flight delay and hotel staff allowed me an extremely generous checkout. Above and beyond what anyone could possibly hope for. The entire hotel just gave me good vibes. I really liked it. Also the gift bag for platinum members was super nice. I kept the actual bag it was so nice. Had a little refillable bottle of water, a free alcoholic drink voucher and a meal voucher. We’re I giving the hotel advice: Keep the fancy water and give me free buffet breakfast every day. Not just one.

Was there for a work conference. The did not have the room I had booked and prepaid for so I was down graded from a king room to a double full. They do not clean the rooms while you are staying there which would have been fine - if they had told me that when I asked if the maid could wipe down the bathroom walls when they cleaned the next day since there was vomit on them from the previous guest. 3 stars cause the rest of the hotel seemed nice and it was in a good location.

I’m not sure how this hotel in Fargo has over 1,000 reviews?? Haha! Anyway - stayed here last winter for about a week and the accommodations were great. Great location, great amenities. Bar/restaurant downstairs was great and the gym was well above average for a hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The staff members were awful and did not know how to communicate with their guests. The bar is hardly ever staffed yet you are not allowed to have outside drinks anywhere in the hotel except in your room. If you are looking for a clean, accommodating, friendly atmosphere this is most definitely not the place.

The pool was fantastic! We had so much fun! Room was huge and clean! Coffee in the morning wasn't the best. But that's hardly a complaint.

Very nice hotel, and definitely geared towards hosting corporate events. Mostly positive staff interactions. I docked two stars for the following reasons: 1) Body wash bottle mounted in shower was completely empty when I tried to use it. It makes you wonder how comprehensive the room turnover process is. 2) I called the front desk to request more a body wash refill and extra blanket for the room, since it had no thermostat. I called in the morning, they told me they would take care of it, but it still hasn’t been done by evening. I had to call again to get someone to come by. 3) I chose this hotel specifically for the gym, which is better than most hotels. I appreciated the spin bike shown in their photos, so I could keep up with my triathlon training. Unfortunately, the spin bike was totally busted, but still sitting in the gym. Electronics and resistance didn’t work at all. See pics for reference.

The hotel overall is nice, staff were pleasant, but my god the beds are hard as stone. I don’t know if we got a bad room or what, I think sleeping on the floor would’ve been more comfortable. There was absolutely no give to either bed in our room…to the point where one guest was sleeping on top of the provided pillows for some softness. We all left sore in the morning. We generally frequent this hotel but I can confidently say we won’t be back. Edited: was told we would receive a call from assistant manager, the call never came. $150 wasted on a sleepless night. For sure won’t be back here again. I hope everyone else has a better experience than we did.

The hotel is beautiful. Customer service was welcoming and informative. We enjoyed our room and the pool area, however the pool side flooring was VERY slippery. We are only giving 'services' a 3 Star Review because of the breakfast buffet. We were expecting to be able to have the option to order from the restaurant, but were only offered the buffet, which sadly, was not great. Simple things were missing: hot sauce, salsa, any sort of fruit, peanutbutter/jelly, even oatmeal. The selections were eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and potatoes (which were sadly very dark and soggy), for about $11 per person. Another great amenity was that there is a Starbucks on site, so being able to grab a coffee without leaving the hotel was great. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, and we would absolutely stay again.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced in 23 years of being a Marriott reward member the female working 6-29-23 @ 7:30 8:00 pm was a enbaristmen to the Marriott chain I would never think of staying at this property in the future way to much to explain I actually ate this stay and booked another hotel in Moorehead can't wait for my email from Marriott for my feedback on my resent stay The picture is me and the very awesome desk clerk at the new hotel that went out of her way to make our stay awesome thanks Micotel Moorehead

They don't serve coffee....ouch. Starbucks is never open and management is absent. Stayed twice as I thought to give them a second shot.......fail! Think that Delta Motel could do things a bit better. Picture was taken at 7:32am

This hotel was much better than I expected. The room was very clean and we were able to check in early. The pool was a ton of fun. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay for a night when visiting.

Check in was at 3 we got there at 4:15 and the room was not ready with cleaning staff still in it. Comfort Love, the housekeeper was amazing when we went in the room and they were still cleaning, went down for breakfast, the pancakes were rock hard, the buffet choices were minimal and overall terrible for the $15 meal.

My first time staying here. Has the hotel gone downhill post-pandemic, or has it always been like this? Our 2-bed room smelled very musty, double-sized beds instead of the queens we are used to, no extra blankets or pillows, the in-room coffee was awful, the tea packages looked old, minimal sugar and creamer. Wifi was slow, no complimentary coffee in the lobby, and the hot tub was broken. Higher priced than our usual hotel, offering fewer amenities.

I booked this hotel to be nearby for an early flight. The hotel looks majestic as you walk in. It enjoys a great lobby with friendly, welcoming staff. The man at the desk made sure he oriented us very well to all services available. The hotel looks great, but then you can notice some of the aging. It features a big pool and spa with a 3-story twisted slide. Unfortunately for us, it was a Monday and being shocked.

Stayed here for my son's birthday party, the lady that also had the same name as me "Melisa" was awesome! Quick check in and efficient customer service. The other front desk clerks were nasty Diana, Manny, Gia, Amber, Hope, and Panther. They need to do better, Melisa was the best!

Recent stay at Delta was great! Their queen suites are awesome for family! Lots of room. We love the pool area! Breakfast was great! Overall just an awesome place that always meets or exceeds expectations!

Clearly a renovated older hotel. The lobby is big and nice and most of the room is nice, although they cheaped out in the bathroom. I didn't expect an old cracked and stained fiberglass tub and surround or ancient flooring at this price point. The bathroom and particularly the shower at the Fairfield I stayed at last night was drastically nicer.

I spend a lot of time on the road. This hotel has to have some of the rudest staff. Every time. Never a smile. Welcome here. How can we help. Tonight was the last straw. I’m not a fan of giving 1 stars. But, this is the third time where the experience has been less than ideal. I need more blankets for the room. It takes forever. I even asked if I could just wait for the extra items. They would not let me. I commented on how it usually takes then quite a bit of time to respond. They really just don’t care. Add some staff here that care, and guess what. Your ratings will increase greatly. We only come here because of the water slide for the kids.

THEY HAVE BED BUGS AND CHOOSE TO IGNORE THEM!!!! They act so nice when they are found and say they will cover any charges - LIES. Worst business ever. The manager, Timothy, has ignored my last 3 voicemails to even tell me if eco-labs confirmed it was a bed bug. POOR BUSINESS! do not stay here.

My family and I made reservations for 2 nights over Thanksgiving. The room was a suite. When we got to the hotel to check in, they informed us that our reservation had been cancelled. They said our card was declined, but we had funds in our account. No phone call, nothing! They did not have any suites available so we left the hotel and stayed somewhere amazing! That was the only good thing to come out of all this. We will definitely not book at this hotel again.

Phenomenal hotel, top tier for Marriott. Great rooms, phenomenal location, good gym, awesome pool with slide, and inviting entrance with white piano..... only problem was that desk started breakfast was free in restaurant and we actually had to pay (4.3 because of that)

  • 1/5 Angela P. 1 year ago on Google
If you stay here first and for most check your credit card statements. They like to double charge you. When I checked in they gave me a handicap room which I did NOT want or ask for cause I have small children and they take baths. There's no tub in a handicap room. Then to make matters worse, the shower head was broken also. It just hung on the floor. You had to hold it yourself while you showered. Mind you almost paid $300 for this room. Well that's all I agreed to pay through Agoda (third party booking site) which I had never used before. They advertised Waterpark and all they have is a slide. It stated our room would sleep 3 adults and one child. Not sure how when it had a king size bed and a chair. Then I was charged by the hotel an additional $245 for no reason and they would not tell me why. I could not get a manager on the phone and they would just put me on hold and pick up on occasion and see if I was still there. They would then just put me back on hold. I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. I would recommend the holiday Inn that does actually have a real Waterpark or any other hotel or motel in the area even over this place. They are rude and apparently like to steal money by charging people's cards and seeing if you notice.... please please check your statements people.

Staffing was very rude, other than Pool bar bartenders. No towels, and pool attendant was rude about it. Front desk was rude. 1 elevator was broken and inoperable, which I know they can’t plan. However, the whole stay was just a mess. The breakfast was $21 per person (which they don’t have posted anywhere), and it wasn’t even worth near that. We could hear the people in the next room the moment they woke up. I understand things won’t be sound proof. However, when you can hear their words in their entire conversation, it’s too bad. I was far from impressed, unfortunately. The pool area is nice. That is one good thing I can say about that.

My husband and I have really enjoyed our stay here. We haven't been back in Fargo since 1997, and it has grown like a weed! This hotel has the amenities of a hotel in the big city while the comfort and welcoming of come home to small town. Well done Marriott! -Our only gripe would be this, when my sister booked the room for us she told us about the GREAT restaurant they had called Basie's... Basie's is gone and sadly the food and the experience is not the same in Basie's replacement.

Great rooms. Seems like a nice facility but the service was blah. Pool was closed but we had no idea in advance and the staff didn't care one bit (big reason we picked this place.) I swear the website said continental breakfast but when we asked the staff acted like we were dumb for asking. Guess I will check it amenities better next time.

Panther, the manager of the hotel rooms, helped us when the tv didn’t work and all we have to say is more people should be like him. He was accommodating, hard working, enjoyable and fantastic. Impressed with him and his top notch service. He said he’s been at this hotel for 7 years and hope he’s here for many years to come!

The bathroom door in room was locked and we couldn’t get in. They had no maintenance person available or on call worker who could help. It was in the middle of the night 1:30am and all my kids were asleep. A man came and helped but because of all the noise trying to open the door, all my kids woke up. I am grateful for the man helping me open the door but he was about to give up too. In that instance we would have had to move rooms in the middle of the night. Breakfast buffet is an unreasonable price of 15-20$ per person and it’s not even that good. The pool floor is very dangerous. I saw two toddlers hit their heads on the tile floor pretty hard. Would not recommend swimming there. The pullout bed had no extra blankets no extra pillows in the room. We called down and ordered 3 blankets, 2 pillows and a fitted sheet. They brought us only 1 so we called again and the girl said “I’ll bring you a comforter.” In a rude tone like it was a burden for her. They do not allow you to purchase extra wrist bands for the pool and only allow you 4. What if I have 4 kids?! Oh and you have to wear a wrist band even if you aren’t swimming.

Our stay for the most part was okay. The check in and out people were very friendly. The room was nice and clean but the beds were very small. The pool was nice and fairly clean but I do agree with other reviews that the pool floor was very slippery. I watched a little baby slip and fall nearly hitting his head. The worst part and the reason for the one star review though was because of the breakfast. We were under the impression that they had free continental breakfast. We were having a hard time finding it, so my mom asked someone at the restaurant area where the free continental breakfast was. We were shown an area and told it was buffet style and we could sit anywhere. First impressions of the food wasn’t great. The eggs were soggy and cold, and by far it was one of the worst selections of food I have experienced at a hotel. There was no butter for the waffles out, so we asked for some and we were brought frozen butter. Then a few minutes later were brought a bill. The buffet breakfast was $15 a person! We were very shocked, and a little upset. We experienced other people being shocked at the price as well. When we went to pay for it, we did explain to the person ringing us up that the price was very shocking. We suggested that they should make the price a little better known for the buffet. A little sign by it that said buffet $15 would have been very helpful and would have helped us avoid this confusion. Then another lady walked up to us claiming to be some kind of manager. (Mind you she is in leggings and a sweatshirt). She acted like it was such common knowledge like we should have known the price. This was our first (and last) time we will stay in this hotel all due to her. We weren’t even that upset about the surprising price of the buffet but were just making suggestions to help avoid that in the future. After her very unprofessionally calling us out because of our dissatisfaction about this experience. She eventually went and sat back down. Then we started talking to another guest about it and the lady came back to confront us about talking to them.. at this point it was starting to turn into harassment. This also guaranteed that we will never come back. She was by far the most unprofessional person I have ever experienced.

First, let's start off with staff at Urban 42 - they are awesome. Food overpriced for what you're given, but the staff is great. Now, the problem child. The front desk. Twice we have reserved a room at the Delta in Fargo and BOTH times were told that our room we reserved was not available and we would need to be put in another room. The first time, since I had reserved online right before checking in, I maybe understood (although I booked directly from Marriott website, so you'd think their own software would have it figured out). They got us into a 2 bed suite with sofa bed. Second time this happened, the reservation was made well over a month in advance. Go to check in, and same problem, room not available. was "upgraded" to a different suite. This suite was nothing close to the room we reserved, the bathtub wouldn't drain and was just not what we reserved. Staff told me in an email today: "Hi! I'm following up with the case submitted to Marriott. I do apologize for any inconvenience you may have had. I can suggest calling the morning of arrival if you were to reserve in the future when staff is able to assign room types to ensure your needs are met as we are not able to guarantee room types as most reservations come in as a general room type which is either 2 queens or the 1 king. " Both reservations were made through Marriott's own website, so not sure how they don't know what reservations they have. Staff always has kind of been, like, sorry, but nothing we can do, too bad, so sad. A heads up on a room change is all I'd ask so we can make prior arrangements at a different hotel because there is a reason we reserve the room we reserve.

The room was nice However I couldn't help but notice that the fridge had not been cleaned because there was leftover food and beverages still in the mini fridge. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Great hotel. Room was clean, spacious, and adequately furnished. Bathroom was spacious and came with a heatlamp! But the towel rod is too far from the sink, and I could never figure out how to easily open those sliding shower doors when the handle is on the other side. The fitness center is very roomy with many types of apparatuses, a rope, and a jumping platform/phone shelf. The cable machine needs a bar though. The indoor pool area is even more massive with a circular slide. It might be only for kids though. My check-in clerk could've been more welcoming and helpful. Most of other staff were though.

I'm a huge Marriott fan, but this property is ready for an update. For example, most hotels have updated their power receptacles in the last 10 years. These are so loose that even a small power supply seems ready to fall out. On the other hand, service and breakfast were fantastic!

I loved that they accommodated me. I Stay here all the time. Prices were high. Had a room that should have had utensils ect. Had nothing. The wine glasses were locked in a cabinet. I had to go downstairs to have my wine bottle opened. Bathroom was not fully cleaned as I had a old contact lense next to the shower and hair as well. When taking a shower I noticed little bugs flying around in my shower. Shower curtain was yellow at the bottom the bed sheets were not on all the way. I like the hotel but,Im thinking housekeeping needs some help.

There are six floors and only 2 elevators. We were there for a new years eve wedding, and one of the elevators was shut down about half the time. The pool and waterslides we're awesome for kids, and the even center spaces were huge and accommodating for the whole bridal party when getting ready, hair/makeup, etc. The only issue we had was that it is a very long walk from the rooms/elevator or stairs (thankfully we were on the second floor, so we mostly used the stairs) all the way around the whole hotel to the big event center room. But the hotel was very clean, service was great, and it was easy to get to and easy to leave.

I ate Thanksgiving dinner at Delta hotel and stayed there overnight on Friday night. Both visits were wonderful. The hotel is so nicely decorated for the holidays. The Thanksgiving meal was delicious and I liked all the dessert options variety. The Friday night hotel stay was great too and I highly recommend the small plate of Spanish meatballs if you eat in dining area. Had a good time swimming and hot tub hot. The pool floor very slippery though could use better drainage and more mats. I didn't slip but some others did it's hazardous. The room very quiet two separate areas was nice tvs worked well and just spotlessly clean and chocolate treat on pillow nice touch. Was completely comfortable in the bed however again lots of oils in the provided soaps so tub clean but a bit oily slippery. The room very updated. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

The room wasn’t very clean, there was dried BLOOD all over the inside of the shower curtain. The hotel was very loud, we were unable to use the pool as there was wayyyy too many kids in it. Definitely beyond capacity.

This hotel and restaurant is a great gem! The staff made a trip do a full circle happy dance. We stayed at another busy hotel that had a "fridgey cold" pool/room not ready. This was recommended by a family member and I'm glad. The pool has three sections. Fun slide, mid sized pool, and kid waiting pool with fun water Hawaiian tree. Overall, with our kids ages being split we really had a spot for all. All of the pool areas were warm and fun! The staff and room was an excellent retreat that we will book this place again. It felt like we were on vacation instead of a hotel sardine shop. I love Marriott hotels!

Awesome pool area for kids of all ages. Restaurant has delicious food. Rooms were clean and quiet. The only negative was showers were built for someone that's about 5' tall.
