I do not recommend this hotel. The price paid for the condition of the rooms and the hotel was NOT worth it at all. The hotel was dingy, dark and dirty. My room was not vacuumed as I found a few pieces of lucky charms on the floor. This is the first hotel that I’ve stayed at where I was genuinely concerned I was going to get bed bugs. The walls are super thin so I could hear everything in the hallway and the next rooms. A door shut on the floor above me and shook the wall in my room. The shower wasn’t cleaned out and there was hair stuck to the sides of the shower wall. I was not impressed. 0/10 would not recommend. To anyone. Ever.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. This place is horrible. All the hallways are filthy, garbage everywhere, food down the hallway, stains everywhere, broken glass throughout the parking lot. Then we entered our room. There were empty water bottles on the floor, on the sides of the bed, garbage and crumpled food on the floor. I even checked the mattresses for bugs because the room was so disgusting. There was absolutely no way we were going to take our shoes off. And our room was directly looking down to the pool. So our window, instead of looking outside, looked to all the people swimming….and they could look in our room. Overall, this was one of the most disgusting places I’ve stayed. Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here.

We were staying long term (roughly 2 months) here and always paid our bill. One night didn’t get paid on ONE of our rooms (we had two rooms booked) so the Manager called us stating she was going to put us on the “Do Not Rent” list. We told her we were out running errands and would be back to pay it and she was being very rude. We explained that we are going back because we still have another room there and she was being very hard to work with. We ended up paying the bill of $71 and she still put us on that “Do not rent” list, not sure why, not sure if it’s because my husband argued a bit with her and told her we’ve been there for months and have had two rooms booked the whole time and still currently staying there and we’re not worried about $71. Guess she didn’t like that or something. My husband went in during the evening and tried to resolve the issue and another worker said they didn’t even see a balance and didn’t know what she was talking about so told us to come back the next day when the manager was in. The manager argued that we didn’t come in. She also made Fraudulent charges on my brothers card. She should be fired. She is so rude! don’t even know how or why they made her manager.

Very displeased with our stay. Upon arrival the front desk gal told us most exterior doors do not work for the building and was unsure which ones do and don’t. (Later I’m told by another guest couple that their door says under maintenance but works just fine. We laugh that maybe it’s because it doesn’t lock but never checked.) The gal also explains where elevator is and that when it stops it will sound like it’s going to break, which it really does. Great first impressions! Then I get to my room after seeing stained and dirty hallway carpets, very small bedroom and beds, no info on restaurants etc, dirty shower curtain and gross stained dirty tub, fridge is dirty, beds have stains on bedding. The mattress itself was nice and firm with lots of pillows so at least I slept ok. We went to the lounge for a drink it is like a trashy dive bar there was a bar fight and the cops came and the bartenders had no handle on the situation. They never once asked us if we wanted a drink we had to go to the bar and wait forever to be served so after two times we left. The pool is way small! All the online photos are deceiving and we will not be booking here again! I’m honestly in my room getting ready and hoping breakfast is a better experience. P.S. I only write reviews if I’m highly impressed, I never write poor reviews it’s just honestly how dissatisfied we are!

This hotel is very dated. That's not the issue though. The hallways are disgusting I don't think they've ever seen a vacuum. The rooms are better. They aren't as disgusting thankfully but still aren't great. I paid for a poolside room and as you can see I don't see a pool do you? The elevator I road once and will not ride again. My family of 4 barely fit in it and by the looks and sounds you're lucky it's running. The stairs in the pool area are absolutely gross and sketchy. The photos are not what is pictured for the pool. It has 2 slides but no lily pads or rock wall. The pool is very small. If I needed more than one night I would change hotels so definitely pick a different one.

The lady who stated she was the manager at the desk is very rude with no customer service skills. She chose to start yelling at customers and making all guests waiting in the lobby at the time uncomfortable and leave the area. If I could give negative stars I would. At one point I would have recommended this establishment(and have for many years up to this point I have recommend this establishment) however this establishment has gone down hill drastically and the current hotel staff have caused the experiences to be highly negative and at this point I would NOT recommend this establishment any longer. There are cleaner, better, equally priced hotels offering the same amenities in the FM area that will have a better customer service experience.

We couldn't take even a warm shower.. the water wouldn't get above probably 60 in our room. The water was inconsistent even in the sink, on hot it would be cold, warm and hot through out using it. We went down for breakfast and there wasn't anything out besides different breakfast breads. No towels in the pool area. .. The room was decently clean, but it was difficult to stay here with kids. Unfortunately.

Pool is small but enjoyable, good size water slide. Breakfast was nice, waffles eggs sausage. Rooms were 2 star level, some cleaning concerns that were taken care of as soon as we informed them. Hallways and rooms are really dated. Although closed while we are here, there is a nice casino, bar and restaurant. We paid 85 per night after taxes through Expedia.

The rooms are decent. Nothing exceptional. They all face the pool area which is nice. However the pool area is extraordinarily small and there's absolutely no supervision. While I was there multiple groups of kids were making it almost impossible for others to enjoy the pool area. Then one table was told they couldn't have food by I'm assuming the hotel manager something. However she only came in talk to them and left while all the other tables had food and drink on them as well. Seems very discriminatory.

Absolutely disgusting!! Hallways are dirty. The elevator is super small and filthy. Smells TERRIBLE. Our room had hair everywhere, including the shower. Floor was sticky and gross. Wish I could give it zero stars

Ended up leaving early. didn't spend the night. Room was very gross! I thought the coffee pot was glued to the microwave but nope it was super sticky. My show got stuck to the floor by the bed due to it being so sticky. The coffee pot was dirty. There was dog hair on the coffee tray. I called and the lady brought me cleaning (Windex) with towels to clean it myself! I also didn't like I said spend the night but I did pay just was told I got $20 knocked off for my stay. I will call tomorrow to complain and will change my review if they fix this! Was also told no dogs allowed but there was a dog in the swimming pool area which my baby was scared of. This dog was staying there also was able to stay and was barking.

First room we received had dirty socks in it and the TV didn’t work. We requested a new room and we’re immediately changed, which was good. We requested a cleaning of our room before 10am on the second day of stay, and we arrived after 3pm to find the room not cleaned. Once contacted, they advised that it takes a days notice for the room to be cleaned. We arrived yesterday and when we called to ask it to be cleaned, no one advised of the “24 hours notice” policy. We had a long day of shopping and a baseball game and just wanted to relax in the room. When I spoke to the manager and requested compensation or a credit to the bar, they gave (the two of us) one credit for one drink. Terrible service and dirty rooms, do not be fooled by the cheap price as we were.

I wish I could give 0 stars. So many negatives. Hallways were dirty, staircase was even worse, stains and food all over. The elevators are TINY and sound like one more use and they’d plummet! The pool area is so small, and there is no actual area to swim because 2 water slides end on each side of the small pool. Pool area was packed, (which I know the hotel can’t control) but there was absolutely no employees around to regulate. Kids were going down the water slide too quickly, not waiting for the kid in front to clear the slide. I witnessed multiple collisions, including 2 kids who whacked their heads against each other at the bottom of the slide. People were diving into a 6 foot pool, throwing each other right in front of the slide exit, throwing footballs up the water slides, hanging off the water slides, etc. it was complete chaos. They had rubber lily pads in the pool and pads on the side of the pool to climb on for the lily pads, they were all old and rotting away. My friend went to the front desk later in the evening & an employee came out of the bar, WITH A DRINK IN HER HAND to help her. The rooms had dust on every surface, head boards, lamps, paintings, tv, table, chairs, dresser, fridge, EVERYWHERE. Hair on the bathroom floor, pee on the toilet and a nasty smell in my room and throughout the entire hotel!! Positives? Breakfast was good and my kid somehow managed to have fun in the uncontrolled chaos that was the pool area. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO.

if i could give this place 0 stars i would. of all of our options for our anniversary trip, it was the most expensive. husband assumed more money would mean a better experience. this was not further from the truth. we waited at the front desk for about 20 minutes before the two staff came in from smoking. we were checked in, and promptly went up to our room. what we found was horrendous. disgusting hallways, horrible smells and a room that reminded me of Netflix’s Dahmer series. there was pills and gross spoons in the hallways. we got a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. the tub was gross, looking like it wasn’t cleaned after the last use (or last 10). the entire room was filthy. we were in our room for 5 minutes and called down to the front desk and told them we would be leaving. we were offered a full refund. we went across the street to the country inn and suites and were so pleased with our stay. better quality for virtually the same price.

The photos didn’t look too bad but that was a complete catfish. Way over priced! It’s dirty everywhere. The carpets are filthy in the hallways and rooms. When I seen the tiny elevator I immediately knew we shouldn’t be here. It’s dirty, rickety and sounds like it’s about to fall apart. Right when we opened our room door a strong mildew smell hit us. We checked the ac filters and they were filthy. When I went back to the front desk I told the clerk, Edie, about the smell and showed her the photo of the ac filter. She said they are under staffed and completely booked. She also said they never check those. As I waited to get another room key, a woman rushed up to us and asked Edie to call the cops. Edie immediately told her to wait. !!!!! I told Edie my keys could wait and that an emergency was more important. !!!???!!! The woman who had rushed up agreed with me and told Edie there was a Mom who is at a room near the pool with two kids but she is drunk and high and not watching her kids. The two boys are swimming and one is trying to drown the other. She walked off saying she was going to take those boys till the cops got there. Edie seemed unbothered by the whole situation. Seems like a normal around here. The whole place seems unkept, unclean and falling apart. We will never stay here again.

The toilet leaked, and barely flushed. The toilet seat is stained with pee. The shower curtain is fabric and is filthy. The blanket/comforter on bed is basically nothing. The pillows stink. The carpet in room is sticky and dirty. The walls are all dinged up and paint is chipped and scuffed. The hallway carpet is disgusting. The elevator works but it sounds like a ticking bomb and shakes and is extremely small. The breakfast is average. The bar is a decent environment. Hallway smelled like marijuana more than once. Staff was the best part of our stay. All staff were nice, but this hotel needs a major renovation and upgrades. The first floor is the only one that looks decent. We didn’t look at the pool, after seeing the bathrooms I had no desire to be in a pool at this property.

We had a scheduled birthday party that we paid almost $400 for (the party room was $300, when they called to get the payment they then told us there was a gratuity fee even though they weren't serving us food, and they never told us about that when we originally booked the room. I was a bit shocked by that, however, Danielle, the Sales Manager, gave us a couple of extra hours for the party since we weren't aware of that, so that made it a little better.) We arrived for the party and the lady working at the front desk was incredibly rude. She told us that it would be easier to park at the side door to get to the area we were at but then she would have to make us a room key, which seemed like an inconvenience to her, even though we needed a key to get into the pool anyway. Turns out the lady working at the front desk was the General Manager. Every encounter we had with her after that was awful. When we checked in, we had to wait at least another 10-15 minutes for someone to come open the party room for us. Also, upon entering she said that we could not have any food with us, but Danielle, the Sales Manager, had said it was ok. We did get to bring our food in and we were told no food in the pool area, which was not a problem. One guest (a grown adult) misunderstood and didn't hear that we couldn't have food in the pool area and took a slice of cake to a table that was about 20 feet away from the pool. As he was finishing his cake, the General Manager came into the pool area and started yelling at him and telling him she was going to have to shut the pool down and that we couldn't be eating in the pool area. I completely understand rules, and apologize for the misunderstanding and that someone brought a piece of cake out of the eating area. Nothin was spilled, and I had in fact cleaned up food that I found on the floor from someone that had spilled before we arrived because I didn't want to get blamed for it. But, rather than yelling at him, she could have come to find me and asked me to talk to him, or she could have spoken to him in a normal tone of voice and not yelled at him as he had no problem going back to the room we were allowed to eat in. I was horrified that a guest at our party was being yelled at in front of the entire party by the hotel staff. It was so embarrassing. I would literally suggest any other place in town for a birthday party simply for how we were treated. Danielle was great. The General Manager was terrible. We did have the pool to ourselves which was great and the slides were fun. The floor around the pool was very dangerous. Puddles of water would gather in many places and even the adults were having a hard time walking near the pool. We literally laid towels down around the entire edge of the pool to help prevent the kids from slipping and falling after the first person fell getting out of the pool. Overall, the only reason I even gave 2 stars is because the pool (minus the floor) was fun, the slides were fun, Danielle was nice and it was nice to have the party room connected to the pool. Other than that, I would not have given any stars because of how we were treated by the General Manager.

Was told it was pet friendly online but no way to put that I had a pet. Tried to check in at 3:20 and was told there were no pet friendly room available. Cancelled my reservation and went somewhere else. Wanted to save money, but it’s worth the money to stay somewhere else.

Very outdated and worn. Stayed as a group for a sporting event and was extremely disappointed for the price. Rooms are dirty looking, hallways look as if they have never been cleaned and the pool looks like a safety risk at every corner. The elevators that are working are in very poor shape to add on top of everything.Very very outdated and not maintained at all!

This stay was awful. Trashy, filthy, dirty hallways and rooms. Management should be fired for not doing their jobs. Rude, obnoxious, lazy, uncaring about customers asking a call to 911 for an emergency was told she would have to wait. Unsafe elevator a death trap. My daughter found a bug in the bed. This Inn is out of the horror movies stay at your own risk. Nothing here was clean and we did not even consider eating breakfast. We traded rooms due to black mold. Air filters had never been changed and management said they don't clean them as they don't have time.. The owner needs to be forced to spend a night in his slum of an inn. How this place passes inspections is a miracle. A professional cleaning company should be hired to clean up the place at the very least. They should buy a vacuum cleaner at the least and pick up trash off hall way floors. Your better off sleeping in your car than this dump. If you do choose to stay here they should pay you. The room was not worth a slug nickel.

The hotel is dated. Carpet, etc needs updating. Our room was clean . We paid a little extra to have a "pool side" room which was on the second floor and in a corner. The pool was small and went from 3 feet to 6 feet. Be aware that both slides end in the 6 feet area. The two slides are sketchy and you have to access them from the second floor via steps. Two of my kids got hurt on the slides, the oldest banged her head and got a huge bruise on her leg because the slide banged her around so much. The continental breakfast was ok, and the attendant kept everything full and stocked. Nice breakfast area too.

we stayed over Black Friday weekend Nov 22-24 in room 176. I have never stayed in a room that was this dirty. Dust coated the light fixtures so thick I would write in it and I did. The floors were so dirty, I walked from the shower to the bed and my feet were black so I had to go rewash them and put on my outdoor footwear. The floor were so bad all edges of the room had dirt and human hair collected. The place had never been vacuumed. Human hair on the walls in various areas of the room. The fridge was covered in fingerprints. The toilet had urine surrounding the seat clips Mold was around the tub surround on the wall. The faucet in the bathroom was covered in crud. The front entrance door to the hotel was covered in fingerprints Now the room was dated and the furniture chipped and ripped which is not the issue I feel the price was reflective of that The state of “clean” this room was in was embarrassing. Upon check out I asked to speak to you the manager Jessica Lamar who was not available. I asked to have them called to the desk and the refused just gave me a business card. I asked them to put that room out of service until it gets cleaned We paid 119 Canadian a night. Which is a good price for the dated state of the hotel. However had I know I needed to bring supplies to clean I would have booked to stay elsewhere. Thanks Sara Follett Sent from my iPhone

Parking lot was litered with trash, alcohol, clothing and a shopping cart. Hallway carpets so stained they looked black. The slide in the pool was not properly secured. Beds were extremely uncomfortable with dips. Woke up with back and neck pains. Walls in room were stained. Toilet did not flush all the way each time it was used. Phone and tv didnt work. Food was terrible. Adults drinking alcohol in hot tub while children swam in pool and then hungover the next morning picking fights with the sober parents, who were watching their children swim. I'd give our stay zero stars if I could. Will never be going back for sure.

The room was okay, not dirty or super clean. I found someone's sock under the bed. The carpet was a bit sticky. I liked that the mirror was put back over the counter and a facial mirror was provided. That may be a drawback for some. The elevator in the hotel looked quite old but worked ok. The building seemed older. The vent providing AC to the room was over one of the beds and appeared dirty. I didn't want to sleep in that bed. A delicious breakfast was provided. My family enjoyed the pool. Overall my family enjoyed our stay. It was ok, but if I were to stay in Fargo again, I would likely try to stay somewhere else.

When you take into account the value, this is a great family hotel. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. This is an older hotel that isn't in topnotch shape, but for a family with kids who want to swim and try to keep a budget. It's a great choice. We stayed in a suite because our family needs the extra space.

The customer service is fantastic. There was a lot of noise outside of our room and the front desk was prompt to accommodate and move us into a quieter room. As a reward member I was allowed late check-out too! While the building itself is older, the staff are always cleaning and ready to help. The location is central to everything too, making this Ramada an ideal and reasonably priced stay in Fargo. We stayed for my partners work trip - I felt comfortable working remote in the room too. Note: the front desk receptionist and housekeeping were particularly awesome: Wyn and Kelly especially!

I'd like to leave a better review, but I stay in a different hotel each weekend, and with that experience, I can tell you for what they charge, the accommodations are far below expectations. Honestly I have received nicer rooms, cleaner and more modern at a third less than the cost of this place. The breakfast was good, but opens late on the weekends. The bed has big sags in the mattress. Honestly this shouldn't cost more then 80 bucks a night tops, but it's far more on the weekends. Finally, it's in Fargo, they get a lot of snow, but they don't know how to plow the parking lot! Very dangerous.

This was by far one of the filthiest hotels I have ever been in. The bathrooms both inside and outside of the hotel rooms were nasty. Cigarette buds on the floor, hair, nail clippings, and stains all over the sinks. Cleanliness is not valued here, nothing seems to be sanitized in the way that would make me (and many others) feel comfortable about our stay. The floors in the hotel room were sticky as well. The hotel overall is not kept together well and needs a serious upgrade. Carpets are peeling on the sides, the walls are filled with dirt. I was placed in this hotel for a conference, so it was not my choice to be here. Had I chosen our hotel, this would not have been on the list at all. Choose elsewhere.

Horrible, horrible worst hotel experience ever! This place was picked for what seemed to be a family friendly hotel with water slides, wrong!! For starters, the place smelled like cigarettes and weed from the time we entered the place! It's just gets better from there! We were told cops came to our room while we were gone! It's a long story but we believe the front desk lady gave out our personal information to some stranger on the phone! She couldn't keep her story straight, very strange. Then there was talk of some beat up dude that somehow got associated with our room (the reason the cops showed up I guess)! We ended up switching rooms (at 11:30p). At least they refunded our room cost. Wyndham should be ashamed of themselves!!

Came up from Minneapolis for a friends birthday bash. Was a great stay for myself and 7 year old. Had no idea there was an epic little pool area, which my son loved. For an older, (definitely needs some work and upgrades) it was very clean in the rooms and great staff. Ive had better continental breakfast, but still totally worth coming back!

  • 3/5 Michelle S. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel set-up itself is pretty good. Staff was friendly too.. My kids enjoyed the pool area with the slides a lot! Also, the ease of getting dinner in the lobby was nice as well. The downside to our experience was for sure the rooms. They are really small, and I know that is something you can't really fix, but them UPDATE them! The dust, rusting metal parts, old tv's, etc. It looked like someone through some paint at the wall and it splattered and dripped all over the window. Overall, for a staycation, it was fine.

  • 3/5 Duane T. 2 years ago on Google
It's an old building so there are some issues with it. The outside card readers that you use your room key on to get back in the building would not work it was cold outside. Now cold in Fargo is 5 or 10 above zero, so imagine walking around the building at those temperatures to get back in. Elevator is very old and small but, functions well. The room we had was a suite and was pretty nice. It was u po dated with some nice appointments. Whirlpool tub was great. Linens and pillows were also great. Microwave was the only thing that seemed out of date. I am pretty dam sure if was made in the 80's! A couple of small cleaning issues with the room and the staff could use a update on personality and courtesy. Man, they were just stone cold. Nice place, I would stay there again. Oh, the breakfast was pretty dam good too! Don't be late, they start taking it down about 15 to 10 minutes before 10AM.
