It was built by the Helbig Family, a Belgian banker family. In 1919, it was purchased by cigarette paper manufacturer Mair de Botton and his brother David de Botton, and the building's name was changed to Botton Apartment. The building, which changed hands many times after the bankruptcy of the Botton Family, was last purchased by Kazım Taşkent. After Taşkent's son, Doğan Taşkent, died while skiing in the mountains in Switzerland, the name of the building was changed to Doğan Apartmanı. The building was later divided into 51 flats and 2 shops by Tashkent and put up for sale. The building underwent significant repairs in 2001, and the door and management standards were upgraded, increasing the quality of life to the level of a luxury apartment. It is one of the buildings worth seeing in the Galata region.

I'm sick of this place, I love it here. It can be seen from the Bosphorus and Galata Tower. I will show this in some of the photos I will upload. Be sure to stop by when you go to Galata. Famous names have stayed and are staying here, you do not have the chance to enter the courtyard inside, but I must say that the garden is magnificent. I think Okan Bayülgen is also among the residents of this place, according to what I heard.

One of the beautiful buildings located on Serdar-ı Ekrem street. Its door was open, but there was a warning that it was not open to visitors. That's why we didn't enter. If you are around Galata, be sure to visit this street. Totally instagramable.

Too beautiful, too much. It is equidistant from Galata and Istiklal. Historic apartment.

It is normally forbidden to enter the apartment, but we requested for the interior, but that's all we could see :)
