I enjoyed this experience. I w joy my food more when I eat bare handed when at home so being able to do the same in public is great. They’ll give you plastic hand gloves and apron to protect clothes from sauce splattering while eating. The hook & reel special sauce is so good. I will come back again and again for this. Price is worth it.

I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. Was very clean and maintained. The seafood was cooked perfect. I will say at first. I did not like the seafood as much. Because of the lack of salty seasoning. I had ordered the house sauce and spicy. It was barely spicy and I felt it had no flavor. However midway through eating I starting dipping the seafood heavily into the sauce from the steamer bag. The more I at the more I liked the food. And it became more spicy and flavorful. By the time I was done. I was hungry for more.

We went here for our daughters birthday dinner. We were so happy with the service and food. Last year we went to Crazy Crab and the experience was horrible, we've been wanting to try a new place for boils, but haven't gotten around to it until now. Hook & Reel was amazing. The service was great, they were attentive and checked in regularly. We ordered crab fries, calamari, raw oysters and the Reel Catch Boil. The boil included 2 clusters of snow crabs, black mussels, shrimp. We could have easily ordered 2 boils, the way our 3 kids love seafood. The oysters were small but good for the first time my kids tried them. They come with hit sauce, horseradish and cocktail sauce. The calamari was great, my oldest almost ate it all. They were some of the largest calamari I've ever seen. The crab fries were good, I was expecting a little more of a crab dip look/texture, but other than that, they were good. The boil was amazing. We did the Hook & Reel seasoning mild. It was just enough of a kick with kids. The crab legs, mussels and shrimp were plentiful and decent sized. You got 2 potatoes and 2 corns. We will definitely be going again.

I did an online order, got the flounder poboy w/ Cajun fries. Cajun wings and corn on the cob. The food was all delicious, the only downside was the 2 slivers of flounder on the sandwich for 13 bucks. The hostess was sweet but it took a few to get a wait for my food beer. I'd definitely go back.

Their po' boys are delish!! 👍 I got the chicken, which was nicely seasoned and tender. The fries were good, too. They give you a good-sized portion of everything, which is appreciated. Ended up getting carryout, and the staff was very hospitable. Will try dine-in next!

Today was my first time at hook and reel!! The atmosphere was amazing !! I love that TouchTunes is available so I can choose my own tunes. The happy hour is out of this world !! The fact that it’s 2-7 pm!! The voodoo lemonade drink was my favorite!! It had all the right ingredients!! The whole five stars goes to Andre the bartender he has so much personality, happiness and passion. He’s a hard worker also, he really was doing the bar and tables. I will be back just to see him. Thank you for a great time !!

Nice place decor was unique with sea, pirate and fishing boat motif. We went on a Monday around 7:30 pm so it was kind of empty. DISCLAIMER: This is not a place if you trying be EXTRA cute! LOL It's gonna get messy. (Bibs and gloves are provided) Our server didn't seem that knowledgeable about the menu OR couldn't articulate it enough to explain it to us ad this was our 1st time there. We ordered drinks and i ordered the seasonal Sam Adams draft. Now they have two sizes come to find out our server gave me the bigger size unbeknownst to me. She came back apologized profusely for the mistake amd said she would correct it on the next round, which i didnt get. We had the raw oysters on the 1/2 shell which were good, little small bu none the less, GOOD! For like "bread" they had these" shrimp chips. They reminded me of munchos but with a seafood/shrimp flavoring. Our steam pots were good, plenty of food. I add spicy sausage and their signature sauce to my 1/2lb of shrimp and 1/2 pound of New Zealand mussels. Their "signature sauce IMO was a little too thick to be a sauce. Overall i would go back afain

Loved the experience at this local chain. Comfortable and easy to get a table at lunch. Server was excellent. He was friendly, prompt and attentive. Not too many people, so he was also working the bar, but looked over at our table in case we needed anything. Food was delicious, although alot of butter. We had the Summer Special (crab cluster, shrimp, sausage, pasta, potato) and it was served in a big bag filled with steam. Too much for one person, so we both brought half home. Ordered it with garlic and butter, which were both plentiful. Definitely will go back again. Good value for $25 per person.
