We took some family visiting from out of town to the Rust Belt, and although some of the stalls weren't for the feint of heart, there were some beautiful, unique items from local artists. Managed to snap a couple photos. Things change up depending on day or month it seems so there's always something to see. There's also a place right in front for people to leave cold weather items for those who need them to take :) . Very Ferndale.

I was shown this place by a friend and it was the biggest mistake ever, in a good way though. I can't help myself when it comes to buying all the amazingly unique things you can find at this place. Most things being sourced by Michigan locals, which makes it that much better. Just grab a drink from the bar and start browsing. You'll find yourself walking out with a trunk full of things that you won't see anywhere else. It's truly a one of a kind spot to find all different kinds of things. You have to go check it out for yourself!

WEDDING If you are looking for wonderful space and willing to step outside the traditional "wedding box" then this is a place high on my list to refer! The space is so unique but on top of that, the staff is super friendly and amazing. I can't want to have another wedding here again!

My sons wedding was hosted at The Rustbelt Market this past Thursday. It was a beautiful, trendy and spacious venue. The staff was fantastic! Bartenders were friendly and suggested specialty drinks. Location was great. They only complaints we had was the metered parking, but hey that’s the City, not The Rustbelt Market, I highly recommend hosting an event at the rustbelt!

Went today for the first time! A very eclectic collection of things to buy as unique gifts for people who have everything. If it was bigger, they could have a sushi bar, small plates to take or eat in! Loved it! Small bar, get a drink/cocktail/beer and walk around and shop

Very cute local market. You can find one of kind items. A meeting venue in the back for events. A bar and a wedding room for photos.

Our July 2023 wedding at the Rust Belt Market was so dreamy! We were relatively dead-set on this venue, and after our first walk-through and chat with Julie, the Rust Belt Event Coordinator, we knew for sure that it was right for us! PLANNING: Julie was outstanding when it came to being patient, flexible, and kind during our wedding planning process. She gave us great advice for how to use the space, and also referred us to our florist (Stems Floral), who put together our simple flower arrangements and set up our tables on the day-of. Julie allowed us to store some supplies at the venue the night before the wedding, which made things a breeze. The venue itself is gorgeous and fun, so if you're looking for somewhere with a bit of a rustic/industrial vibe that you don't need to totally transform, this is perfect- we did minimal decorations, and it still looked awesome! (This also made end-of-night clean up SO easy.) The Rust Belt also has a small selection of preferred catering companies you must choose from, which we LOVED, because it made decisions easy for us- we went with Brooks & Landry, whose catering was DELICIOUS. Julie and the Rust Belt team were very responsive and available for questions whenever we needed them, prior to the big day. This was so helpful! DAY-OF: Our wedding day was super breezy and fun. Everything happened on schedule- no delays! Our guests were able to walk the market during cocktail hour, before the venue closed to the public, which was a cool touch! The venue provides two custom drinks for cocktail hour, and they allowed us to go off-menu to serve the "Lavender Haze", a really awesome craft cocktail that our guests loved! The bar staff was super kind and helpful throughout the evening. We particularly enjoyed the Green Room, and are really happy we rented it out. This was a great space for final "getting ready" touches, and was also amazing as a photo-op space. The downtown Ferndale area, just steps from outside the Rust Belt, was also a wonderful spot for wedding photos (MissLyss Photography captured our special day, and they are wonderful). We had also rented a Shutterbooth photo station, and the red velvet couch area inside the Rust Belt was perfect for setup- the vendor was able to get plugged in and ready with ease. The actual event space was large enough to hold our 80 guests, buffet tables, DJ booth, and gift/guest book table. The Rust Belt provided more than enough tables for anything we needed. From arrival to departure, things were easy and simple! OVERALL: Our guests absolutely loved this unique, fun venue! We received so many compliments during and after the wedding. We loved the many great photo-op spaces in and around the Rust Belt, and felt as though this was the perfect venue for our whimsical, disco-inspired wedding day. As folks who didn't want to have to make a ton of decisions, the Rust Belt made it easy by providing vendor referrals, a list of caterers to choose from, a space that required minimal decor, and a pre-determined structure to the day. It should also be noted that the pricing was fair and competitive, too. We would recommend this venue to couples seeking a low-stress, easy, unique, intimate, and fun space. We are SO happy with our decision to get married at the Rust Belt Market!

We love this place! They have a cozy bar in the back, where you can get a beer, cocktail, or a tasty cold brew coffee. There's also always something new to see when walking through the market. We also really enjoy trying to find all the frogs in the terrarium. Just a very cute place to spend an afternoon.

Stopped here while in Ferndale, It was my first time, and for sure thought the place was pretty cool. Kind of reminded me of Gibraltar trade center but with better products and a lot cleaner and a bit more organized. We weren't here too long just did a quick walk-through but did grab up a magnet showing the train station. This place also has a little bar towards the back making it a nice little place to hang out for a bit as well.

Had a great time taking a friend of mine here. Grabbed a drink and enjoyed looking at all the different small businesses! Thank you for an indoor getaway from the normal “shopping” experiences.

What a wonderful place to wander. Get yourself a tasty drink and stroll through this delightful market. Chat it up with local vendors, check out their work and most importantly, BUY SOME! Support your local artists and get the coolest gift your loved one (or yourself) will ever get.

Always love this place. They always have so many cool things to look at. It's always fun to go in there and literally just look around. Lots of choices and meet people to meet. I always recommend going to this place in Ferndale! I got these really neat blue butterfly earrings there and they are so damn cool!

I always enjoy coming to the Rust Belt Market everytime I'm in Ferndale. There are tons of shops, all with very interesting and exciting things, I never know what I'll find there! Today it was especially lively because of the art fair, and I found this beautiful puzzle made of recycled material! I recommend coming here for unique art year round!

I can't say enough good things about The Rust Belt. When we toured the venue, we fell in love with it. The venue is beautiful and requires little to no additional decoration. We were looking for a very unique space and the Rust Belt delivered. But what really made our experience 5 Stars was Julie and Tiffany. We booked the venue back un January 2020- right before everything shut down. We had to reschedule our date from 2021 to 2022 and both Julie and Tiffany made the process so seamless. When I originally contacted Rust Belt about rescheduling, we were in a mad dash to figure out a new date since we had pretty much everything booked by then. When I picked my new date, I said I needed at least a day to get all my other vendors aligned. Tiffany was so kind as to say she would hold the day for a whole month for me if I needed it!! There were also a couple things that changed in their 2022 wedding details and prices, but since we signed a contract in 2020, Julie and Tiffany both honored our 2020 pricing and requests. We could not have been more thankful since we had a vendor unexpectedly raise their price on us. Julie was great to work with. Any concerns we had she was able to address with us and work with us to make our day perfect. I fired question after question to her and she was able to answer every single one in such a timely manner. She was polite, professional and such a pleasure to work with. If there was something the venue couldn't exactly accommodate, she was able to offer an alternate solution. I want to go on and on about how happy we were with The Rust Belt, I could write pages and pages, but overall they were just truly amazing to work with, especially with the COVID changes. They were the best vendor we worked with! Highly recommend for anyone that is looking a a venue!

Ok I’m writing this only for the owners, and not for myself. The reason being, if it was just for me, I would keep it just for me. I love this place. It has a feeling of home. It is special. So many shops of hard working creative people mixed with a bar that employs wonderful staff. I think it is the heartbeat of Ferndale. They allow you to bring your dogs inside and my dogs look forward to every time we go. Please come here, buy a plant, try on some jewelry, check out some furniture, drink a ladies in lavender, book your wedding here …just enjoy this place.

So many great shops. Stop and explore. They have a little bit of everything. My favorites are the metal art and Eastworks Detroit where they make the fun lamps out of gears and pipes and Bluetooth speakers out of whiskey casks. The one has a button that raises two glasses and a pint. That's fancy. Just so much to see. Each shop so unique. If you love shopping local, this is the place.
